This is a great conversion! I am amazed by the end results, and the paintjob is also stunning. 7:49 - A much easier way to do camouflage wrapping on guns is masking tape and super glue. Take one to three layers of masking tape(depending on how thick you want it), cut a thin strip, wrap it around your gun however you want, then carefully cover it in super glue using a thin nozel glue tip (if you get your super glue from Poundland it comes with small nozel adapters, which work well for this task). Do less than you think, you can always add more later. Wipe off any excess. The glue will make it rock hard and very strong. This way is much better than green stuff as the masking tape won't stretch or malform (no annoying finger prints!) and will gently stick to your models without damaging them, so you can reposition it as many times as you like without too much issue. You can also do a much thinner strip than you can with green stuff and the masking tape texture is perfect. The hardest part is coating it with super glue and not getting your fingers stuck to it.
In the Canadian Armed Forces, the trigger guard, that little piece of metal that makes it impossible to use mittens while shooting a rifle, can be removed. Seriously your conversions, kit bashes, homebrew chapters, kill teams etc. are some of the best I've ever seen. So clean and well composed. I know this is probably super unlikely but if you ever made a few more void scions to form a small kill team that would be sick.
Nice work, the soviet army of ww2 the over the shoulder item, was half a tent shelter, so two men would complete a tent, and give you some protection from the elements
Excellent stuff Pete, I am painting up my old Vostroyan Firstborn. A few tips on how to add some flair to the Kreig models to make some iconic Busby hats or to make the guns look a bit more rustic would be smashing for the remaining 5 models and would fit the aesthetic of the Valhallans.
Really like the Kill Teams you do. The small details you give them adds loads of character. I'd love to see how you'd do a kitbash of Tyberos of the Carcharodons.
This video has shown me an issue that I may have with my own kitbash for my Kasrkin killteam. I am going to be using veteran guardsman heads on Kasrkin bodies to make a Kerberos unit killteam. I'll probably have to make use of some greenstuff to get the heads to fit nicely.
Hey dear Pete, I feel so bad. Your Primaris kill team video inspired me so much to make my own custom Kill team for Iron hands that would bring Eliminator and Heavy Intercessor but now I cannot do this. Love your builds. Any chance we could see a “Squad Grimaldus” kill team. Would love to see your knowledge of the kill team game mode and kitbashing prowess put to work on them. Keep up the good work.
Seriously your conversions, kit bashes, homebrew chapters, kill teams etc. are some of the best I've ever seen. So clean and well composed. I know this is probably super unlikely but if you ever made a few more void scions to form a small kill team that would be sick.
I wasn't looking to buy this boxset. Your conversion video changed my mind.
The faces are really well painted!
Yes! More Pete!
Nice work, the soviet army of ww2 the over the shoulder item, was half a tent shelter, so two men would complete a tent, and give you some protection from the elements
That is super impressive work; especially the way that you turned the helmets in to fur hats.
Wow. Just wow. Amazing as ever.
I'd love to see Vostroyans, but whatever you choose will be awesome. Love your videos!
Would definitly love to see some more Valhallans 😁
Outrageous as always!
Thank you very much!
I use margarine to lube my tools for sculpting. It’s the best lube I have found, easy to clean with long working time.
Awesome conversion and the paint job is stellar!
Not a greatcoat request, but I'd love to see your take on Elysians
i think you should try kitbashing schaffer last chancers, like i love the freedom that would give you to make your own suicide squad style kill team
Really like the Kill Teams you do. The small details you give them adds loads of character. I'd love to see how you'd do a kitbash of Tyberos of the Carcharodons.
I love the way they turned out. I my self have started an imperial guard army Ive always wanted to kit bash but not sure where to start
This video has shown me an issue that I may have with my own kitbash for my Kasrkin killteam. I am going to be using veteran guardsman heads on Kasrkin bodies to make a Kerberos unit killteam. I'll probably have to make use of some greenstuff to get the heads to fit nicely.
Hey dear Pete,
I feel so bad. Your Primaris kill team video inspired me so much to make my own custom Kill team for Iron hands that would bring Eliminator and Heavy Intercessor but now I cannot do this. It's sad that they promoted your custom Kill team just to tell us we cannot use different kinds of Space marines in one fireteam. Keep up the good work tho!
i LOVE these kill team videos, it shows how deeply you can personalize a team for a small amount of funds, the idea of making an ENTIRE Valhallan team even just 500 points.
keep 'em up! even if you want to go through regiments first or go squence, faction to faction. i'll always see these :D
Can we all take a moment for the brave Krieg plastic models we’ve been crying out for for years that wear sacrificed in this conversion. They do look great and I have to say I miss they old mordian tallern and valhallan models GW used to produce.
Just as I'm reading ciaphus cain and the vahallans brilliant!
Kill Team Pete is the best Pete. Great work as always dude!
While I'm slightly shocked by the mutilation of loyal Kriegsmen, the dynamism, movement and personality in these conversions is brilliant!
Lol talks about how we've been waiting for plastic Krieg which is an understatement for someone like myself lol and then proceeds to make Vallhalan Ice Warriors with them. Too funny. Amazing conversion mate. Now we need plastic VHIW
Well done! The paintjob is awesome, and really sets the mood. Love it!
Thanks a lot!
those are good, might need a commissar to go with them
I'm honestly willing to believe that GW were kind enough to send you this kit early as a challenge to see what you'd create. Not disappointed, and if GW are also watching, I hope that they once again feature your video on the Warhammer Community page. Incredible work as always, Pete. I am in two minds as to whether or not considering purchasing the Kill Team boxed set, but I think GW will be releasing more Citadel Death Korps kits in the near future.
These krieg models would be beautiful for traitor guard conversions. Always wanted to add on to the blackstone fortress guys.
Warlord games winter german infantry, great coats work well and are far cheaper , made some lovely conversions using guardsman bits and blue stuff molds
The kill team looks epic! Brilliant job. I’m going to try and convert mine into Steel Legion. Realistically all that needs to be done are the goggles and boots with greenstuff, and a couple other minor tweaks. I’d love to see your take on this regiment 👍
Mother Russ... Valhalla is proud of you!
Great job they look awesome! I was able to find some 3-D printed Valhallan kill team members on line last year. I was pretty happy with them. Also found a Ciaphas Cain mini.
So for easier conversation you could do Maccabian Janissaries, and for a way harder one. Miasman Redcowls. I always enjoy your work one of the reason I started down this hyper expensive hobby.
Hot (cold?) damn! The are spectacular. Can’t wait to get my hands on the DKoK set now to do something like this.
Amazing work! What I would love to see its a kitbashing of Tyberos the red wake, couldn't find one anywhere.
I know it isnt Krieg. But could you sometime maybe try and tackle the Harakoni Warhawks? I would love to see that regiment pulled of well for once!
You can also use the victoria miniatures heads for valhallans, which are pretty good quality
These are amazing. Great work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
