Rabea totally nailed the Slash tone in this video - and with one of the most affordable LP's available!! Very impressive and inspiring!! Kids, take note... it's not how much you spend, it's how good you are!

christopher suggs Not really...he would have sounded better if he used the Katana as well. That Sweet Child tone is wayyy too dark.

@@JohannesJ7539 Actually, it was a 1959 Les Paul clone that sold for about $5000 in 1985 dollars. He was given a damn fine guitar. He uses that guitar for almost of all his studio work since the AFD recording.

Would it be possible that when you use modelling amps that contain all of the effects right on the amp, that you show a screenshot of the app with the different settings you used? It would make it a lot easier to "follow along at home" if you're not as great at tweaking settings.

Ed King, Steve Gaines, Allen Collins, and Gary Rossington were(Rossington is only one still in the band) the 4 guitarists for Skynyrd's original recordings back in the 70's, although they all never performed on stage at the same time. King left the band in '75 and was eventually replaced by Gaines about a year later. Then the plane crash in '77 (almost 40 years ago). It would have been awesome to see all 4 of those guys performing on the same stage. Sadly, that never happened that I'm aware of. Personally, I think the best lineup would have been King, Gaines and Collins. I would love to see these guys do a Sounds Like: Skynyrd ! One of my favorite bands of all time.

Daniel Jay Houk on a budget all you need is some Epiphone casinos and gretsch electromatics. Vox ac10. Treble booster, compressor, maybe a looper or double tracker.

I thought the tone was spot on, except the lead part's audio quality sounded very digital if you listened closely, but i doubt that it would be noticeable in a full mix. Matt's setup was so good for rhythm, very crunchy and tight.

well tone is really a matter of taste, i'm sure the code is a good amp too. but i have to say that i was really impressed by the katana (i think it was the 50), never got such proper and authentic tone out of an amp in this price region.
