Frikin tough looking course. 15:13 The interviewer lady's attitude towards the pilots was hard to watch and I personally did not enjoy it, if this were any other pro sport I don't think she would fair so well after that, but she did great everywhere else. AWESOME race as always! :D
We saw it as her being very upfront on what she was seeing there in person. Throughout the series, she is very supportive and complimentary of the pilots and teams.
I'm stunned by the fact that Croatian news didn't mention anything about this (or atleast very little)... Is this DR1 decision or did the media fail reporting about this...
We had the choice to include them, but felt that due to the addition of the ProClass, that safety was more important than letting the public know we were there. With five ProClass drones in the air for the first time in the series, we wanted to be sure that nothing went wrong.
@@DR1Racing I must say it... But i find it lame excuse... It could be arranged atleast minimum protection for few reporting crews in worst case... This kind of decisions doesn't help with promoting this sport...

We were fine with the press, but they wanted to announce the filming as it was live - which would’ve brought other spectators to the location outside of our safety footprint. We had this issue last season, and it caused issues with the permit and insurance folks. Since there was a risk of other fans coming (after seeing the press) that we could not safely protect, we asked the the reporter to hold the story. They didn’t want to do that, so we had to pass on the coverage - which was a bummer. We hope to better align on this next time.
I think it feels slower because it speeds up too fast. The drones lose their sense of momentum because of that. It makes the race look more about who can avoid mistakes and less about who is the best at conserving momentum.
I can't wait till this sport gets to a place where NO pilot is EVER as much as 7 seconds behind anyone. That is a HUGE lead in this type of race. The skill gap is very large as it is because there are so few people doing it the talent just isn't there in numbers.

when i first started fpv this was not interesting. but now that i have matured as a pilot watching this is like watching the super bowl.
