I learn in 10 minutes with Hans more about watches than in the whole time that i spent on youtube watching other channels. Since i don't use Instagram i will ask my question here and i really hope it will come up in the next Q@A. Sinn Navitimer with Sellita500 or Damasko dc56 with valjoux 7750? Thanks
Always a pleasure to listen to Hans. And informative too. He really brings a different perspective. Love the coo coo clock stories! My Mother has one that is her pride and joy but when it quit working, we had to replace the whole movement..
Just love when he's on I learn so much in a short period of time. Funny I loved his comments on Breitling. I have five. But then I laughed only one has and ETA movement. My oldest, it's a 24yo Chrono cockpit. It's never given me a day of trouble. Only serviced three times too. I've never ever even seen the movement.
Ok, sending “Love” to Fed, JP, and Hans too! Obviously he is a very learned gentleman. I enjoy his POV on watchmaking, movements, brands, etc. Great Q&A format!! More more more!
I personally love the objectivity on Hans’s comments. Thanks for bringing him to the channel. In other hand Fed, I personally like Longines, but would like to hear from you a deeper review on which models are really worth it. Have a great weekend guys. Cheers fromo México
Love ur vids, Fed. Btw I read the post by the unhappy former JLC Memovox customer explaining his side of the story...after reading his account IN HIS OWN WORDS it convinced me that you and John are STRAIGHT SHOOTERS who bent over backwards to accommodate this guy!! When I get rich, I'll make sure to buy my first pre-owned conspicuous show-off watch from u guys!
You two were already talking about this topic a few years ago but now I want to extend it. What are the differences between Swiss, German, Japanese and now also Chinese watch movements? To a certain extend all countries are able to produce good movements, for sure, but would you, Hans, be able to tell the differences if there are 4 unlabelled movements from the different countries. As a non-watchmaker it seems to be very hard for me looking through the case back. They appear to be the same 🙈. P.S. I guess, the value in cuckoo clocks is less the movement but more the case if it has been handmade 😂. Best wishes!
Federico Talks Watches ahh! Well, thanks, but any way, it would be nice if you both (Hans of curse) can talk about this theme, specialy the ETA 2892-A2 which is present in a large variety of brands and caiber models: i.e. Omegas’s 1108, 2500, 1109, 1120...
Great topics! Thank you for bringing the good topics and stuff - I really like seeing hans, and it's even better when you can get the best interview questions ready ;)
Hi... I came across a Breitling Navitimer 01 Model: S022C20NP which has Breitling 01 movement. Can you please advise if Breitling 01 movement is same as B01? Thanks
I love my Breitlings for sports watches, and my Patek for dress. But, it was interesting to hear Hans mention his love for Maurice Lacroix. I own one of their Masterpiece tonneau watches, and I can’t love it more. Can you have Hans tell us why he likes them so much?
I had exactly the same question. I also wanted to ask Hans about the the Delrin brake in the 1861. Is it true that Omega used the Delrin brake just because it is cheaper or does it have any other advantages over the steel brake in the 1863. Thank you! looking forward to the next video with Hans.
@@bhroh6572 I don't know if it would have really saved a significant amount of money. It was supposedly to preserve the teeth on the chronograph seconds wheel.
Matt Steemson Yes, I also thought so. But in some forums I came across some opinions that they never saw a teeth on the chronograph wheels brake due to the usage of metal brakes and it was just what omega wanted the customers to believe. So I was curious what the master watchmaker’s take is on this matter. 😉
Hello Federico, I was wondering, what would you do if have someone bring in a Lemania 5100 based chrono watch. Who would service it? Since Hans won't ever touch the watch because of the plastic parts?
Hans, do independent watchmakers have access to genuine Patek parts, in my case for the 23-300 movement in a 1960s vintage Calatrava? I'm new to vintage Patek. Thanks.
Another great video with Hans! Please keep’em coming! I wanted to ask Hans about the the PLASTIC (Delrin) brake in the 1861. Is it true that Omega used the Delrin brake just because it is cheaper or does it have any other advantages over the steel brake in the 1863. Thank you! Always enjoying your videos Fed and looking forward to the next one. Cheers.
Interesting video, very enjoyable. I liked the comments regarding ethical standards in business/watch repairs. Also if you could work in another field other than watch making, how being a first responder was very rewarding (saving lives). It’s a breath of fresh air listening to human beings with moral compass. keep up the good work 👍🏼
Great show Fed !!! Hans for sure ia an old school guy you can tell miles a way how knowledgeable he is, good for you guys that you can count with he's services as a Watch Maker Best Regard Bruce
I love Casio quality .... you can drive a nail into concrete with a Casio watch , they look very well and they are madly accurate . I'm not joking , I love Casios , the lume sucks though.
We need to see Hans more often. Make some series about... Pick a brand and talk the good, the bad, the evil in one episode
Seconded!
Me... Three...
Yes; more evil.
like Hans he sounds like a person that knows a lot
Love when Hans makes an appearance, he’s super humble and funny!

Agreed. Always learn a ton from Hans.
I'm with you, I don't do Instagram.
These are always the most interesting, fun to watch and informative with Federico and Hans. More of these would be just great!
I always love it when you Hans on. His insight provides a great source of learning.
Breitling cases and bracelets are top notch , the B01 is also great .
Breitling glass is also 👌
Breitling tofay is ridicules piece of sh.t.
Vintage breitling i s the best.
Glad to hear a real watchmaker say what i always felt, Breitling has great cases and bracelets. Plus with the inhouse movement i like them even more.
I always liked breitling. They are stepping up their game this year
@@LiquidSm0ke Up, down, depends whether you're going for the in-house or now Sellita
Alex Smith saving for my grail Rolex. Maybe one of the in house down the line
@@rickjason215 I don't necessarily doubt that, I feel the price point is creeping up too much for watches with £200 max Sellita engines.
Every minute he’s ON the channel making these cool vids, is another minute a prospective customer could very well become a paying customer.
Agreed who wants to work on people's abused poorly designed ripoff tool watches all f*cking day anyhow - ?
Always a pleasure to listen to Hans. And informative too. He really brings a different perspective.
Love the coo coo clock stories! My Mother has one that is her pride and joy but when it quit working, we had to replace the whole movement..
Hi Fed & Hans.... always nice to see both on u doing a video. Breitling lately is getting better & better.
Its really nice to see someone give breitling some love
Great to see Hans, love his directness.

Please do more video with Hans. I like him.

I'd watch hours and hours of this.

I would like Hans to make a movement history on Omega chronographs. 😎
The most fun episode I've seen! You have also packed a load of information into a short period of time. Thanks!

More Hans. Love the put-down of the cuckoo clock. Genius.
Love it. Respect. Buy this man the perfect tools
You are the best!! Thank you so much for sharing your time with all of us.

Please bring back Hans!
Federico, does it has to do as well the manufacture caliber grade? elaborated, top and chronometer as well as the "positions" it features...
The question was based on if the movements were equal. Everything but the movement.

Hans has to mention the name of the watchmaking school he attended, it's become a signature line of his!
Question for Hans: Can you damage a Non-Flyback Chronograph by pushing the Reset while its running?
If you push hard enough, yes.
This needs to be weekly
