What did you do when cutting the lauhala to prevent it from fraying/unraveling?
Hey! I actually just cut them with Scissors and they didn’t fray or unravel at all. And all of the cut ends are pinned under the wood pieces to prevent it from ever having a problem! Hope you can figure it out 😀

Thanks! It turned out pretty cool! I just ripped a 2x4 in half length wise and then stained them and put some polyurethane on and screwed them in😀

1- impressive work. 2 - what are the names of the two place holder extenders with the blue mat on top of them?
Thanks! They are actually just a tool to remove snow off of solar panels in the winter on an adjustable pole. I just had them and they ended up working out perfect for the job 😅

What did you use to stick in the ceiling?
Thanks for your question! I used a hand stapler to hold up the mats until I screwed the wood frame pieces to ultimately hold them up. I also used an extension pole with a little thing on it that’s used to clean solar panels (just what I had) to give me another hand holding them up there. If you just have a second person or any long pole with a broom or something on it you could make it work 👍🏽 good luck!
