This video is based on a true story that happened to me when i was a young little girl and im happy that it happened on Christmas b/c i can make this bad event into a funny one. this is like my favorite vid i ever made on this channel..for now atleast.

To avoid ruining it for me eventually, my mom always taught me that Santa wasn’t exactly a person but more like the spirit of Christmas itself that lives inside all of those who celebrate it. She never explicitly said Santa wasn’t real but more like she redefined Santa. So when I gradually got older and I figured it out fully I still was able to enjoy the concept and accept that in a way Santa is real exept he is all of those who give to others.
My mom used a similar explanation for the Easter bunny, and tooth fairy.

That’s what my mom did too (she didn’t mention of the tooth fairy or the Easter bunny tho just Santa :3) I wasn’t too upset that Santa wasn’t actually real but at least I know he is the spirit too us :)

I'm kinda glad that since I was a child I was always doubtful about things that seemed too "fantastic". I remember that when I was 5y.o. I hid under the sofa and caught my mom doing as Santa, didn't cry or felt sad, instead I stopped asking for gifts in Christmas because I didn't want my mom to spend money (single parent). And 7y.o. I also found she "was" the tooth fairy and just threw my milk teeth in the toilet since then. At 11y.o. I decided to be an atheist, she almost died as full Latin-Catholic mom she was, but after sending me to a priest and him telling her I was still a good kid, she accepted it.
I've been always the weird one in the family and I love that 😂

Hispanic chrismas tradition have a party till 12 o'clock in the morning go home wait for your dad to find parking waiting patiently to open your gifts, when your dad finnaly comes you open your gifts being happy to see what it is but at the same time your mad tired so once everyone open there gifts you jusy get knocked out.
My parents said that they were Santa, and Mrs. Claus so that I wouldn't get all sad when I inevitably found them wrapping up the presents.
I believed them for quite a while, and I am SO going to use this on my children. (If that ever happens)
