Hi Jade I didn’t know how to write my own comment so here I go. I actually started my yt channel feb 2024 right after I dropped out of uni so I could take an impromptu gap year for my mental health. Most profession demands you to be more vocal and more expressive. A carpenter who is good at his work is good but a carpenter who is also very vocal and good communicator is instantly 10x better.
Other quiet people would love to watch you so they can know that they’re not alone! It makes you relatable. Usually I watch people that are like me so I feel less alone

As I've been working on more videos, I've found it helps to embrace that awkwardness and edit in a way that I find funny and enjoyable. I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).
I get the fact that people can have channels under different accounts, especially considering the fact that when I start my channel it will be under a different account than this one. But why is it that when I see these comments about the program you mentioned, every single time it's from an account with very few followers and no content? Considering the fact that most people who comment on these types of videos talking about their struggles or success are actually commenting from the account they are working on, this seems highly suspicious. Kinda like it's just spam.

Starting a UA-cam channel is one of the best things I’ve done for myself! For so years I told myself I couldn’t because I’m “too quiet” but for the last 3 years I’ve proved myself wrong and I feel so much more confident. Yes, I’m a “quiet” person but that’s no reason I shouldn’t do something I want to do!

I just subscribed because you seem like such a bright person and I love your vibe. I had my channel for 5 years and I posted 3 videos before but ended up deleting them because I thought they were so cringe and I had so many people tell me that its not gonna work and I took those to heart. Now, I am starting to get used to filming myself and actual create the videos I want to create. I am trying to focus on my lifestyle here in Hawaii and about my family and my faith and my faith has brought me to this video of starting my channel this year. I am wanting to post a video by the ending of this week as this comment is here or in the beginning of next week depending how fast I edit.

I have posted three long form videos to my channel so far and needed the reminder to be happy with my 20 or so views so far on each. Just getting the ball rolling and it will continue to grow. I'm excited to develop my niche and am still figuring out exactly what that is (psychology, spirituality, manifestation, oh my!) and will keep in mind what you said about creating videos that reflect who I am as a person. I posted my 2nd ever UA-cam video yesterday, and I love to see them as little diary entries - they are real, raw, authentic and just filled with real life experiences and chaotic situations (like an actual diary, and little lessons I've learnt or am still going through) - I tried posting every week, but just never feel like I'm able to due to my current workload, so I moved it to every 2nd week, but I'm sure once I have my systems in place, I'll be able to. 🥰

A friend of mine just sent me this video because I told her how I was feeling overwhelmed by this giant wall of things that I had to do in order to ‚make it’ as a musician and how other indie artists are just creating new content and new amazing songs every five minutes and I just don’t have that time with a toddler right now. It is so frustrating to think about what I can‘t do yet and how I am not even close to my goals and it’s very easy to just give up. (That’s why I usually try to avoid this rabbit hole and focus on just having fun on the way.) This video and your gigantic smile gave me such good vibes and so much motivation to get back on the horse and just keep going so thank you :) Small tip to anyone who doesn‘t have an hour a day like me: Start with 15 minutes. Even I have 15 minutes a day for music and the more I am creating this habbit, the easier it gets to expand to 20, 30 minutes and bam there is your whole hour 💥☺️

This. 100%. I first started watching you when you made your Australia backpacking series, that was absolutely delightfull to watch, and it made me want to vlog my own journey to Australia. After a failed first channel, I made this one specifically for my four week backpacking journey and over the last eight months, I've started to take it a bit more seriously. Every other week so far, because making more right now isn't do-able with my schedule yet, but I've enjoyed making Dutch video's about my workweek as a selfpublished author and hopefully soon traditionally publushed author, my worklife as a freelancer, some travelss here and there and most recently my four week holiday. What changed since the failed channel and now? I've let go of perfectionism. TikTok was for me a way to let go of that, but since learning that it's okay for something not to be perfect, it's helped creating more freely here. Thank you for always being real on socials!

How did you have me tearing up at the end?!? What a brilliant message that I needed to hear today!! I've wanted to be a UA-camr for years, but between the imposter syndrome and others just downplaying the idea, I never got off the ground. Last year I promised myself that I was going to see my dream happen, and here we are a year later! Anyway, I am scared to death to do this, but yesterday I decided that I will have my first video published by my 50th birthday NEXT MONTH!! Thank goodness it isn't until the end of October. Ha! I'm a late diagnosed ADHDer who has spent my life hearing things like "you never finish what you start," "you're just lazy," "you can't focus on anything." So many people have listened to that, and it's time we rise up and realize our superpowers! I have a late diagnosed Autistic kiddo (now 20) as well. Single mom, 2 amazing kids, have met amazing people, had crazy life experiences, was in the military, managed to purchase a home for the three of us after a messy divorce, and I've done it all while people have still said such unhelpful things! I want to create a channel that reminds people, especially neurodivergent-type women, that we matter, we are amazing, and we can do hard things, even if we don't believe it. I want to share my experiences, what I've done to manage the pitfalls of ADHD myself, and encourage those who feel "less than". So many of us are so hard on ourselves, and we need to be remined to stop and be kind to ourselves! Ooof! I got a little fired up there! I do feel like my channel may be a little all over the place, but the message above will hopefully always lead the way and shine through. I'm all over the place, so it would only be authentic if my channel was a bit scattered as well! ;) Thank you for encouraging me to write this down for your corner of the internet to see!! As an ASD/ADHD person, I struggle with (and also celebrate) loving almost everything. I’ve been an intel analyst, a tour guide, a delivery driver, an optician, a railroad conductor, a retail manager, an actor, a counselor, a rental car franchise operator, a computer programmer, and a student studying biochemistry, then psychology, then engineering. I’m currently a math & science teacher. I am passionate about people exploring and discovering all their passions, and embracing and accepting their personal uniqueness. I am fascinated by the concept of skew lines as an analogy for every life. No matter how much we might think we are parallel or intersect other lives, each of us is 100% distinct. Our history is no one else’s. Our values are our own. Our tastes and thoughts and loves and hates are MORE unique than our fingerprints. I believe we discover through writing, and I am hoping to discover if I should start an active UA-cam channel (or maybe a few-or even many). I’d love to hear what other people think, and yet I am happy to walk this adventure alone as well. The trip up any mountain is always richer and fuller than the view from the top; but that view alone is worth the trip.

I’ve always wanted to share stories, knowledge, and wisdom through a channel, but I’ve often been held back by fear, constantly searching for reasons not to start. That fear still lingers, but something has changed-my inspiration is now guiding me forward. Watching Jade’s video made me realize what I’ve always wanted, yet was too scared to pursue. Now, I feel ready to share my love for poetry, spirituality, and philosophy with the world.
I really enjoyed your video about starting a UA-cam channel in 2024. I ended up making videos for other teachers and now enjoy the creativity of making content for others. I am now slowly building up my channel but it has taken 12 years and it is a very long endeavour. Thank you for sharing your side of things and your experiences. I’ve created for others and got “I love your energy” a lot on the feedback. But then when I go to do it myself, for my own channel, I’m petrified 😅 so I’ve gone a slightly different way until i grow back into that confidence (and actually enjoying the filmmaking aspects). It’s a happy accident. So, I think you also have to be so kind to yourself ❤ and your right, if you’re quiet, be quiet. We all have a space waiting for us on here.

if you’re skeptical of beginning anything, that’s more of a reason to do it. i’ve been watching youtube since 2007 and have finally had the guts to create a youtube channel in 2023. just within a year, i’ve learned the business aspect of youtube, the content creation, the production, the entrepreneurship behind it, the psychology of youtube and most importantly the dedication and hustle. i’ll tell anywho who’s considering it to begin. we all have a story, why not share it? good luck to all the starting youtube channels out there.
I truly cannot describe how grateful I am that I started this channel back in 2017!! 🥹 from meeting so many incredible likeminded people, to becoming financially independent so young, to overcoming the effects of bullying by OWNING the fact that I loved studying, to having a creative outlet to capture my life as I grow up, it was truly the best choice I ever made!!

Most profession demands you to be more vocal and more expressive. A carpenter who is good at his work is good but a carpenter who is also very vocal and good communicator is instantly 10x better.
Other quiet people would love to watch you so they can know that they’re not alone! It makes you relatable. Usually I watch people that are like me so I feel less alone

I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

I get the fact that people can have channels under different accounts, especially considering the fact that when I start my channel it will be under a different account than this one.
But why is it that when I see these comments about the program you mentioned, every single time it's from an account with very few followers and no content?
Considering the fact that most people who comment on these types of videos talking about their struggles or success are actually commenting from the account they are working on, this seems highly suspicious.

Starting a UA-cam channel is one of the best things I’ve done for myself! For so years I told myself I couldn’t because I’m “too quiet” but for the last 3 years I’ve proved myself wrong and I feel so much more confident. Yes, I’m a “quiet” person but that’s no reason I shouldn’t do something I want to do!

I just subscribed because you seem like such a bright person and I love your vibe. I had my channel for 5 years and I posted 3 videos before but ended up deleting them because I thought they were so cringe and I had so many people tell me that its not gonna work and I took those to heart. Now, I am starting to get used to filming myself and actual create the videos I want to create. I am trying to focus on my lifestyle here in Hawaii and about my family and my faith and my faith has brought me to this video of starting my channel this year. I posted my 2nd ever UA-cam video yesterday, and I love to see them as little diary entries - they are real, raw, authentic and just filled with real life experiences and chaotic situations (like an actual diary, and little lessons I've learnt or am still going through) - I tried posting every week, but just never feel like I'm able to due to my current workload, so I moved it to every 2nd week, but I'm sure once I have my systems in place, I'll be able to. 🥰

A friend of mine just sent me this video because I told her how I was feeling overwhelmed by this giant wall of things that I had to do in order to ‚make it’ as a musician and how other indie artists are just creating new content and new amazing songs every five minutes and I just don’t have that time with a toddler right now. It is so frustrating to think about what I can‘t do yet and how I am not even close to my goals and it’s very easy to just give up. (That’s why I usually try to avoid this rabbit hole and focus on just having fun on the way.)

This. 100%. I first started watching you when you made your Australia backpacking series, that was absolutely delightfull to watch, and it made me want to vlog my own journey to Australia. After a failed first channel, I made this one specifically for my four week backpacking journey and over the last eight months, I've started to take it a bit more seriously. Every other week so far, because making more right now isn't do-able with my schedule yet, but I've enjoyed making Dutch video's about my workweek as a selfpublished author and hopefully soon traditionally publushed author, my worklife as a freelancer, some travelss here and there and most recently my four week holiday. What changed since the failed channel and now? I've let go of perfectionism. TikTok was for me a way to let go of that, but since learning that it's okay for something not to be perfect, it's helped creating more freely here. Thank you for always being real on socials!

And here we gooooo August 31st (the day of my parent's who passed away 26th wedding anniversary) I am starting my guided BREATHWORK session channel. Thank you for your story, wisdom and motivation
How did you have me tearing up at the end?!? What a brilliant message that I needed to hear today!! I've wanted to be a UA-camr for years, but between the imposter syndrome and others just downplaying the idea, I never got off the ground. Last year I promised myself that I was going to see my dream happen, and here we are a year later! Anyway, I am scared to death to do this, but yesterday I decided that I will have my first video published by my 50th birthday NEXT MONTH!! Thank goodness it isn't until the end of October. Ha! I'm a late diagnosed ADHDer who has spent my life hearing things like "you never finish what you start," "you're just lazy," "you can't focus on anything." So many people have listened to that, and it's time we rise up and realize our superpowers! I have a late diagnosed Autistic kiddo (now 20) as well. Single mom, 2 amazing kids, have met amazing people, had crazy life experiences, was in the military, managed to purchase a home for the three of us after a messy divorce, and I've done it all while people have still said such unhelpful things! I want to create a channel that reminds people, especially neurodivergent-type women, that we matter, we are amazing, and we can do hard things, even if we don't believe it. I want to share my experiences, what I've done to manage the pitfalls of ADHD myself, and encourage those who feel "less than". So many of us are so hard on ourselves, and we need to be remined to stop and be kind to ourselves! Ooof! I got a little fired up there! I do feel like my channel may be a little all over the place, but the message above will hopefully always lead the way and shine through. As an ASD/ADHD person, I struggle with (and also celebrate) loving almost everything. I’ve been an intel analyst, a tour guide, a delivery driver, an optician, a railroad conductor, a retail manager, an actor, a counselor, a rental car franchise operator, a computer programmer, and a student studying biochemistry, then psychology, then engineering. I’m currently a math & science teacher. I am passionate about people exploring and discovering all their passions, and embracing and accepting their personal uniqueness. I am fascinated by the concept of skew lines as an analogy for every life. No matter how much we might think we are parallel or intersect other lives, each of us is 100% distinct. Our history is no one else’s. Our values are our own. Our tastes and thoughts and loves and hates are MORE unique than our fingerprints.
I believe we discover through writing, and I am hoping to discover if I should start an active UA-cam channel (or maybe a few-or even many). I’d love to hear what other people think, and yet I am happy to walk this adventure alone as well. The trip up any mountain is always richer and fuller than the view from the top; but that view alone is worth the trip.

I am now slowly building up my channel but it has taken 12 years and it is a very long endeavour. Thank you for sharing your side of things and your experiences. UA-cam is a great platform and they do so much for us creators.

I’ve created for others and got “I love your energy” a lot on the feedback. But then when I go to do it myself, for my own channel, I’m petrified 😅 so I’ve gone a slightly different way until i grow back into that confidence (and actually enjoying the filmmaking aspects). It’s a happy accident. So, I think you also have to be so kind to yourself ❤ and your right, if you’re quiet, be quiet. We all have a space waiting for us on here.

Love this! I tried starting a UA-cam channel years ago but couldn’t keep up with it and school and other parts of my life, let alone trying to keep up with ideas. But lately, things are becoming more routine, I’ve had a burst of inspiration, and I’m revisiting old ideas that I know may have time for and planning to film the first video I plan to upload in,like, forever this week! This video gave me some solid encouragement, I just may start with my voice and insert landscapes and alternate film over having my face, because I’m not confident with my teeth currently. LOL! Still considering doing a channel but may start with maybe 30+ days of filming myself on my phone, just for me, to perhaps grow my confidence a bit, because the fear in me is BIG. Hey Jade, I feel like everything happens at the right time and your video is exactly what I needed right now. My friends actually started to cook up the idea of creating their own youtube channels and asked me to do the edits. That gave me a sense of confidence thinking that when they can trust me with editing their videos then even I can do the same for myself. i’ve been watching youtube since 2007 and have finally had the guts to create a youtube channel in 2023.
just within a year, i’ve learned the business aspect of youtube, the content creation, the production, the entrepreneurship behind it, the psychology of youtube and most importantly the dedication and hustle.
i’ll tell anywho who’s considering it to begin. we all have a story, why not share it?
