Some info- the first Cartier Tank was based on the design of the Renault FT17, a small manoeuvrable french tank in the late stages of WW1. The sides mimic the caterpillars on both sides of a tank.
About the Seiko calf leather-
I learned that Seiko (proudly) makes every part and material that is used to their watches. The steel, sapphires, screws, balance spring, the jewels, and so on. So it is a logical assumption that they even own and grow cows for the leather and calf hides. Not in the factories themselves 😄, off course.

There is a Bulova tank-type watch with a very nice Myiota automatic movement and an open heart dial (either in black or white) which costs only about 300 USD and is absolutely gorgeous.

And it comes in a few differet flavours: the 96A268 and 96A269 (leather strap versions) and the 98A308 (metal bracelet but costing an extra 150 USD).
