The backlight is actually better on the Skmei than the G-Shock plus the Skmei also has the larger capacity CR2025 battery versus the CR 2016 on the Casio.
There are some advantages to it, hard to tell on battery life right now will have to see. The larger cell might last longer, depends how efficient the electronics are.

Most negative displays are pos - even Casios - The display on regular version is ok- maybe digits aren’t as bold as the Casio but all you do is tilt your wrist a bit more 😅
It costs less then that the cheapest Casio isn't that nice really kind of flimsy, this is OK just get the normal version if you want to be able to see it!

That little flashing indicator that comes on and off is what keeps me from buying one, I wish they would fix that

@MrBazReviews exactly, and that is why so many people don't want it. Skmei needs to fix it, and they will sell tons of these more so than they do now.

I don't know what the normal display is like, but the negative one is pretty poor. It's unreadable at many angles

It looks to small to have the negative display,on a bigger display the negative display works.
The buttons on the Skmei rust over time, no such thing on the Casio.
I'll keep a look out for that strange they didn't use stainless steel

@@MrBazReviews the cheapest Casio I can find is at my local Walmart for $16, 50m wr. I would compare that to the skmei or sanda watches
