To be honest, I'm done with smart watches that need to be constantly connected to smartphones. I just wanted a watch that can count steps and have the functionality of GShock. The feature GShock in this video is a modern type of GShock and I'm more into the vintage one. Anyway, nice review and that one nice looking and functionality watch. Thanks for the video.
I'm currently using Suunto 5 Peak, no need to connect to Smartphone all the time.. able to read my daily exercise through main menu is enough If You wanna see full details of Your recent exercises just open Your smartphone.. this operation is acceptable to me
To make changes to the watch then yeah you gotta be connected to your phone but thats it. I don't have to keep mine connected. It prolongs the battery life too not having it connected. I just got mine on Jan 30th and I'm only down two bars (I didn't charge the battery to the "HIGH" setting though).
@@isegrim1978im sorry but gbd200 is shit... only last 1,5 year maybe 1 year with battery.. and battery change on this model is also dog shit.. just use the gbdh2000 and turn of heart rate and all not needed stuff. You will be good to go with counting steps etc ;)
Gshock should use this MIP screen on all there negative displays and ditch the unreadable negative display...ive the GBD200 stealth black and love it traditional square with MIP screen.. Great Review...
That (GBD200) is exactly what I have ordered, and it looks really good too. The trouble is that, rfom what I have understood, the GBD200 does not need a phone to be carried at all times (sounds good!). I also gather from videos we exchanged (ua-cam.com/video/ZXC8rw0PFac/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/szjDsyFiOSA/v-deo.html) that it measures distance, speed, pace, calories and auto-lap without a smartphone being carried around. But, I do not think it tracks/maps the route without a smartphone? Or do I have to carry my phone with me for that? I suppose that, for a watch to track/map the running/walking/cycling route, it would need to have an inbuilt GPS sensor? If I do have to carry my smartphone with me for the GBD200 to map the route, then I might consider cancelling my purchase, and got for H2000 because that is more tuned to my needs.
Have the exact same watch, and i love it so much. Keeps me active as i dont like to see the low daily step count and is well accurate in multiple sport tracking. The bright green just pops when outdoors and the watch is feather light and rugged at same time. the app however is buggy specially when there is new update.
Hello! I bought this watch and I think it has a problem with solar charging The watch came with 3/5 battery lines, I exposed it to the sun for a total of approximately 8 hours and it did not charge at all. Should I have left it longer or is that how much solar is charged? In the manual it is specified that it does not charge until high, but I think one line should have charged more. Thank you
I love this watch, just wondering if you could tell me the where the length 59.6mm measures from is it the “lugs” or is it the actual case from 12 to 6? Any help would be great, cheers.
Its so much better to buy a simple clean, high quality Watch. I bought the Seiko prospex divers Watch for 400$ and im in love with that Watch. So simple, so high quality,
The stop watch does not show milliseconds. I am 35 and this is the first stop watch I am using witch does not show ms. Absurd. It does not show tide phases like very cheap G-Shocks are able to. I have not found an option to set the time via atomic clock radio synchronization signals. And it does not show water depth. So no, it does not have EVERYTHING. The notification function is absurd. It uses simple notification access permission on Android. Each time my podcast apps updates the remaining time in the notification menu the watch also shows a new notifaction. So I had to turn them off. Also if my phone's battery drops under 16% battery power I receive I new notification. This is annoying af. I don't know. This watch has so much potential and it is very sad how few features it has. I wish it would be possible to program own apps / widgets for this watch.
I don’t like the new app it doesn’t work correctly with my bb100 so I will not be buying this watch and be disappointed I feel casino has let it’s fans down
Had to resync with phone everyday and took hours app is junk..2 big to sleep with for analysis.. functions are ok but overpriced compared to Garmin.. returned it and bought a forerunner 955 solar and love it...also I noticed that the Bluetooth icon is blinking in 95% of your video so yours wasn't synced either..battery was good and looks good but resyncing everyday for hours was a deal breaker....

I have the Garmin Instinct 2 solar on now and its underused cos of its menus. I already have a gshock and this new GBD will eventually replace the garmin. im not convinced its any better than garmin, but it comes down to aethetics and personal preferences. have heard the heart beat is maybe not as accurate as Garmin thought.
In order to make a fair comparison, please let me know when Garmin can make a watch that can withstand as much abuse as a Master of G. Casio is far behind on the smart features, but they're lightyears ahead in terms of actual watchmaking, quality and reliability than any smartwatch brand.
$400 is just too small of amount. Casio will need to step up if they want to pay me to wear this absolute nonsense. Maybe, I could do it if they pay me $1,000 per hour wearing... but they should ask me that in a really polite manner. And I expect flowers and a bottle of Dom Perignon, of course.

Great review, just ordered this exact model today, thank man!
It looks like the watch loves to hang in the trees too😁
Battery Life on Normal Mode is 16 hours 12:49? I have to charge this watch twice a day?? Thank you but not for me.
No, that is when GPS and HR is active during exercise. So you can track 16 hours of exercise with normal accuracy.
this watch is god!
Should I connect this H2k to smart phone continuously? Like Collect almanac data. Or it can collect data direct from its GPS without smartphone
It looks like it loves climbing in the trees too
Got it this week. Yet to use it, though.
Or spend $50 more and buy the Garmin Instinct 2x that actually has everything and more.
Does it have a negative MIP display?
Could you tell me if this has a wake up alarm with vibration?
hello,is the gbdh2000 sold in japan the same watch sold in the usa?thank you

Should have covered the GPS functionality.
When you’ve completed an activity, e.g., walking, cycling can you see your activity on a map?

How accurate is heart rate monitor? I've heard that it is very poor? What is your experience with that?

Nope. It syncs with a specialised G-SHOCK app that you can download on your phone.

I'm not convinced this any better that the Garmin Instinct 2 solar. The only difference is the typical gshock over build look.
Because you simply don’t understand
@@spiritofnorth That's a bit of a flippant remark.
Haha, first of all it's a G-Shock and it's a beauty! It can't be compared with Garmin or AW or so. It's not same league, not even same sport!

*Eco is completely unimportant. A watch for $400 must be made of good plastic, not ecological. This is an absolute priority.*
So you’re saying that plant-based plastic is of inferior quality? What if the plastic is high quality AND is plant-based?
No? It is a thought though. 🫡
