This model from Nitecore has some useful features including the ability to take 2 x AA cells (though not 14500), and it comes with a 1600mAh capacity Li-ion battery pack which is charged via USB-C.
Bit more range on this one, the MT2A Pro can hit 255 metres at the top level of 1000 lumens, and can run up to 500 lumens using 2 x AA 1.5V batteries.
I take a closer look at it, and discuss the stronger and weaker points of this offering.

For me AA flashlights are no-brainers. Easy to find batteries everywhere.
I agree I'd like to see a single AA one too that would be nice
Some makers ignore it but I think it's a mistake to do so
I really like the beam profile on this one Mr B, don't mind the 50 lumen low thx Mr B
I'd prefer a low mode myself
I find this type of small flashlight (double AA) the easiest to handle. Single AA flashlights are sometimes a bit awkward to handle and tend to slip out of your hand, like the Olight i5R, Acebeam Pokelit AA or Manker E05.
Handy to have both types some like the longer length, but I'm pleased to see more AA models around. I hope they do a single AA one too just to give people a choice.
Sorry to bother you Sir, newbie question sorry.
Can you have this torch setup so it comes on at the highest output or do you have to cycle through to get to it please?
Thankyou.
As the review shows it has a memory for the last setting

Thankyou, appreciate your help. Just new to "this type" of torch so not sure what a lot of functions mean.
@@Adventures_Outdoors_Fishing If you're fishing etc, then it's a decent choice, fairly compact and long run time/AA compatible. I'd consider it a decent option. It's plenty powerful for most users.
