Notice how everytime someone mentions Týrs name in the subtitles, it says Týr with a " ý ", but when Týr speaks, the subtitles refer to him as "Tyr".. The game devs really gave us some hints from the very beginning, but no one really notices stuff like that...
what I like about this episode, is how Atreus finally felt "Betrayed by a God", something that Kratos was trying to teach and protect him from it, but it's one of the things one can only experience. That's why Kratos is not allowing Atreus to feel guilt, because he's been there, He understand Atreus' heart was in the right place, but these fucking gods
If you remember the movie The Mask starring Jim Carrey, where he finds the mask created by Loki. That's the exact same mask Atreus makes whole, though whether it's powers are the same in this universe we'll have to see.
It’s not Atreus fault tho he indeed was the one who wanted to find Tyr but after he showed kratos what he knew about tyr everybody kratos and sindri included was willing to find tyr so yes Atreus started this path but the only one at fault is odin he fooled everyone nobody could have know that it was him
Though im sure some will put this somewhere. Sindri cant bring Brok back again because there is nothing to bring back. Souls are made of 4 parts when you die you use your the Direction part to take you to the afterlife (The part of the soul Sindri couldnt 'find') If you die without your direction you dont go to an afterlife you just go. Oblivion. His soul just ceases to exist. No Valhalla, no Helheim, nothing.

One thing i gotta pull you guys back on, in a manner of speaking, Kratos was definitely not right the whole time. It's almost as if you two entered Atreus' brain and started thinking like him, because it would be natural to go down that mindset of he fucked up, his father warned him, he was right and atreus was wrong. *But* i do have to say the game makes a very clear distinction between it just being Kratos vs Atreus mindsets, and it being about both of them learning from each other. Kratos was definitely not right. if you can't trust gods does that mean they can't trust Freya or her brother? Can Kratos not trust Atreus, hes a god too? It's that very same closed off, distrustful and angry mindset that Kratos apologized to Atreus about when they were in Helheim, those are his old ways and they are not right, and he does not want to fall back into them. If they had never gone in search of Tyr, Odin would've definitely won in the end, Kratos and Freya would never make up, they'd never help out the people in Vanaheim, they'd never help the Celestial Wolves, they'd have never figured out the real prophecy of Ragnarok (where only Asgard is destroyed and the other realms prosper) ect ect. Atreus set them down the right path, he's a bit naive, but he can never be like his father and his father does not want to see Atreus turn out like him. Loki runs better on chaos, and thats the kinda person and god he is, Kratos coming to accept that and opening up while teaching his son right from wrong is what their journey has been about, being decived by Odin does not change that.
Beautifully put! I’m really enjoying this reaction series but it is mildly infuriating how much they put Kratos on a pedestal and antagonize/put all the blame on Atreus whenever something goes wrong.
Very good attention to detail when Odin showed up interrupting the conversation with Thor and Loki, mans was pretty much watching them the whole time and even i didn't notice that and i played through the game a second time on New Game+
Whats really crazy is if you pay attention extremely close to detail, throughtout both games anytime some refered to Týr it was spelled like so(Týr) with the accent. Anytime Odin disguised as Tyr talked it was spelled like this(Tyr) without the accent. Also this was the first time in the series that we get to see how the Dwarves slip between relams, every other time is done off camera. Theres no way to revive his brother remeber hes missing 1 of 4 pieces of his soul meaning theres no way to even get his soul to revive him. WAIT YALL JUST WAIT😂. I know rn with the new found PTSD compounded with the old one yall are on edge. You can trust the Aesir gods, all the other ones are cool i.e. the vanir. Remember in the beginning Sindri said Odin couldn't find the house but then Atreus broght him to the home so he was able to leave a crow and have access now.
30:12 Atreus isn’t to blame because everyone was complicit. Everyone followed alllowed this to happen so no it isn’t Atreus fault he didn’t kill anyone. The fault is Odin. In fact it’s Atreus open and caring nature has gotten them through a lot. Atreus has taught his father to be more open and caring so I strongly disagree with you doing everything Kratos way is the best option at all zero
Yeah I don't like this part of the narrative to the story that the blame solely lies on atreus when everyone was complicit in helping him and supplying him with information to go and get answers. Not only that sindri also put atreus in danger by sending him to the rage and revenge filled Freya and nearly got him killed. These tasks all came with fatal risks which everyone willingly went along with. furthermore brok dying was more tragic when you know sindri is responsible for not allowing his brother an afterlife all because he couldn't accept his death the first time. Freya could have also tried to heal him right after the stab but she froze conflicted over revenge and helping a friend with a fatal wound with only seconds to get help. It's astounding to me how the majority of fans of this game really do blame atreus for this when everyone around him besides kratos was pushing towards Ragnarok and talking about not being able to change destiny. If we're going by that rule then technically brok was always meant to die even if he defied death due to his brother destiny cannot be changed
In the real myths, thor was insanely intimidating. This thor looks like how he was described in the myths. Unlike the marvel thor whos a hearth throb. Thor was one of the most terrifying dieties. While he could be cool, his temper was known throughout all the realms. With his hammer mjollnir he could devastate mountains in a single blow. These games a a bit bittersweet for me. Knowing the myths. I like what they did and its a fantastic story, but seeing the gods and goddess portrayed like they are a Greek pantheon is kind of crazy
The best and my fav part of this masterpiece of a game!!! Odin's tactics and plans are so advanced and so sneaky that literally nobody so this twist coming!!! It was a very big brain move that once i got to this part i truly didnt know how the end would come to be. And yes they are very much fulfiling that prophecy, but there is still MORE twists at the end, cant wait for yall to see it! Next episode make sure you have tissues tho cause damn its finna hit hard 😢😢

Aw man, you can't say this is all Atreus' fault. Lil dude just wanted answers on who he was & who he was supposed to be. He thought he needed Tyr to do so. It's easy to point the finger when you're on the outside looking in & emotions are high. Yes he found "Tyr" & was going off without Kratos but Odin was like 90 steps ahead. He planned on everything from them continuing their search to them "finding Tyr".
No lie I’ve watched every single god of war video from the start, I absolutely love your videos and I love the dynamic the both of you have. Thanks for the great moments. ❤

Tasha is not far off when she mentions some parallels from the Bible. It is well known that all mythology and the bible across the world has MANY parallels to each other throughout history from similar gods to story concepts throughout, especially when it comes to world ending prophesies like the end of days, the apocalypse, Armageddon, Ragnarok to name a few.
It makes you wonder with all these similarities with mythology and religion........was there an ORIGINAL one story in the beginning that branched out into many throughout the history of the world?🤨🤔
2:54 Thor: I was drunk, not blind. Me: And that's the problem, cause all of that back in asgard was not worth it. This part was funny for me for no reason, 4:00 Thor: Something i need to do first. Me: Yeah, what's that? Proceeds to yak. Me: Ok, oook yeah, you go ahead and get it all out. You done? Thor: Now, we can go. Me: Ok 11:09 Mask completed and right on queue is Odin and a whole lot of "OTHER" problems 13:50 Me: Whelp Atreus, I think it's time to make a quick escape. Atreus: Sindri better be right, Hvergi! I laughed because he got out by the skin of his teeth, and looking at this again, i was wondering what blocked Thor and it was the ingrid. And that whole conversation at 14:40-15:17 and i actually agreed with Mimir doing some side quests gave me some time to think about how everything is going to unfold when i continued the Main Quest. Tyr: One last time, I will pick up my spear and lead us into Asgard. Me: Ok then, 'bout time he stoned up. Brok: Then where's that idea been this whole time. Me: I guess some people don't reveal their trump card until they absolutely need to use it. I was nervous for no reason, and Brok was making it worse, like, "Can you chill?" Brok knew that something wasn't adding up, Why was getting all giddy about the mask, and more importantly, why is he calling Atreus"Loki?" These were all red flags that just flew over my head because Atreus was called Loki to the other giants, but when i saw tyr reaching for something in his pocket i was like "BROK GET BACK!" Tyr/Odin: DO YOU NEVER SHUT UP?! PLOT TWIST: ODIN WAS PLAYING AS TÝR 27:33 Freya: We need you HERE! Me: Well, right now, i'm comforting my son, who knows when i'll be back. There were so many callbacks to God of War 2018, especially with the hunting, and it gave me time to really ponder everything that happened Brok's death, Odin being Týr, and didn't even notice that minor detail in his name the letter in Týr's name because the "Y" is supposed to be like this "Ý" not like regular "Y".
“Lead.” This is one of the best stories ever told to gamers over a decade of gaming. You have no idea how deep this hits having inhabiting Kratos for over a decade. This game was built to hurt adult gamers 😂😩
It’s hard to remember this, but Atreus did grow up pretty quick throughout the first game. The time jump, too, plus the game opens up with Atreus taking on tasks around their home without being asked or told (which we see Kratos smile about, and it is wonderful to see). He is still pretty young, but after everything he’s been through and everything he’s done, it does make sense to think he might be ready to go out on his own, at least from Kratos’s perspective. Unfortunately, Odin had something planned none of them (and most of everyone watching/playing) could have seen coming. Try was off to me for a while, but I always wrote it off as him being incredibly (and ironically) pacifist.
The reveal in this video that Tyr was Odin was kinda stareing you in the face every time he spoke. In the subtitles from the first moment you met him, "Tyr" was spelled incorrectly. There's suppose to be an accent mark above the Y. It shows up every time someone speaks his name but every time "Tyr" speaks it's always missing.
I’m still not in the whole everything that has happened is entirely Atreus’s fault. There has been multiple factors going on and Odin is the type of person to keep his own eye on those factors. He’s the type to scheme and plan things that benefit him. Even if Atreus decided to not find Tyr anymore, Odin would have devised another way to get to him. A manipulator always shows the “truth” the way he wants others to see it. And that’s what others who don’t know him, won’t get until it’s too late. I am not advocating that Atreus is blameless. This is a big f*ck-up and he will never live this down. He’s too kind and naive for this world, but you gotta remember that he’s still growing as a young man and mistakes like these will stick to and shape him.
I liked this episode. I think the problem, at least my sight was more like Sif was revealing that Odin was the problem, that Magni and Modi were killed by the All-Father's commands and warning Thor that Thrúd might be next, the next to die doing Odin's work and Thor kinda dismisses that by taking his anger out on Atreus
Amazing episode! I knew you guys would be blown away by that twist!😁And you're right, it was primarily Atreus's fault. And unfortunately his first big mistake was basically causing Ragnarok. From the very beginning, Kratos has been trying to teach Atreus and get him to think more about his actions and his intent behind those actions. But Atreus, just took it as Kratos not trusting him because he was questioning him so much. He wasn't realizing that the only reason kratos went along with everything though was because he wanted to trust his son (which goes back to the comment I left on the episode when they fought garm). The really nice part about this episode though was Kratos's interaction with Atreus at the end. You can easily look over that line where Atreus starts blaming himself and Kratos stops him and tells him "no." That moment was a lot deeper when you realize he's telling him no because thats what Kratos essentially did and didn't stop doing for centuries until God of War 2018. He blamed himself for killing his wife and daughter, he blamed himself for killing tons of innocent and not so innocent people, he blamed himself for just being a monster period, and I'm sure he blamed himself for many other things too (and most of it was true which makes it worse). After suffering as much as he did, and being tormented by his past and the Gods even more, in the end it just caused him to be a broken man....or god if you will. All that was really left after that was rage and a lack of humanity. Something the newer games have been trying to rectify. Whats crazy is that not only was Odin aware of everything, but when you go back and look at the scene when Odin and thor first show up at the house, you realize a couple different things about Odin's plan. For starters he offered a peace deal with them in exchange for Atreus to stop looking for Tyr. If Kratos had accepted that deal then everything would be all good, but we all know Kratos wouldn't have accepted that deal, and Odin knew that too. His real reason for offering that deal was to make them suspicious of why he wants them to stop looking for Tyr. Its like reverse psychology. By making them think he doesn't want them looking for Tyr, it in turn actually makes them believe looking for Tyr was probably the right thing to do, so they did it anyway not knowing that Odin was gonna disguise himself as Tyr. He planned it all out and helped put them on this path from the very beginning. Man I can't wait for the next few parts! We're in the endgame now!😁
Indeed. Now the question is “why”? It couldn’t have been for the sake of the mask. Honestly, it didn’t seem like it was that hard to find. There has to be a bigger reason of why Odin put this plan into motion.
@TNTGamingonline yep! I agree. Although knowing Odin, it was probably many reasons. I think the mask was one, getting atreus was another, and finding out more about ragnarok & how to stop it was another. Plus, with all the stories we've heard about him, he just likes being 1 or 2 steps ahead of everybody else. While i do believe the mask was important to him, I'm of the opinion that he already knew what the words on the mask said. He just wanted atreus to feel like he was actually accomplishing something. But then again, maybe not. If the mask was that important to him, then I wouldn't have trusted it to a kid to find unless I actually needed their help for it.🤷🏾♂️
@@TNTGamingonline It was definitely for the sake of the mask, it was impossible for Odin to complete it because he cannot translate the writing on it, only Atreus can, which is why it seems so easy, but realize Odin took centuries to find that one piece AND lost every person who went along with him in search for it. The mask would make Atreus obsolete, as Odin would gain infinite knowledge, be able to stop ragnarok, and get the answers he wants for what comes after death for Gods. Everything comes back to that Mask

Same, when I started the first episode. I just thought....."WAIT TILL BROK!!!!!"
He did call her Frigg when he first came to the house as Tyr xD
Notice how everytime someone mentions Týrs name in the subtitles, it says Týr with a " ý ", but when Týr speaks, the subtitles refer to him as "Tyr".. The game devs really gave us some hints from the very beginning, but no one really notices stuff like that...
That's why "Tyr" sleeps in the broom closet in the Realm Between Realms. Hes really in Asgard.
what I like about this episode, is how Atreus finally felt "Betrayed by a God", something that Kratos was trying to teach and protect him from it, but it's one of the things one can only experience.
That reaction to the twist was worth the wait haha
Pay attention to the 2 Valkeries. Odin is very slick and evil

33:13 okay tasha with the green screen nails! 😂 💅🏼
I've been waiting for the reactions to THAT scene. The energized mix of shock, confusion, and realization did not disappoint.
Very good attention to detail when Odin showed up interrupting the conversation with Thor and Loki, mans was pretty much watching them the whole time and even i didn't notice that and i played through the game a second time on New Game+
Sindri cant bring him back since brok was already missing a part of his soul
Thor nearly made the biggest mistake of his life 13:55
When they are hunting, that was the first time kratos calls atreus son, saying it to him not about him
"No, we doing it together, Son" Kratos when they spreading Faye's ashes at the Jotunheim
20:50 lmfaooooooo yall are a trip
Hahahahaha….. Tasha was shooketh
I've been waiting for yall to get here! The look on your faces. I had the same reaction. This is one of the greatest video game storylines ever. 🔥🔥🔥
This was so great!!! Shoutout to Tasha seeing the bible parallels! Almost caught a praise break!! 🙌🏾🤣
One of your best episodes yet 👏
Love the community you guys have built! Haven't seen one spoiler comment. W Community, W Reactions from some W Reactors! I just love how intrigued and genuinely interested you guys are. Hands down one of my favorite reaction channels on YT! Keep up the great work guys!
Brok is my favorite character! Killing him off makes me feel like I lost an uncle! 😢 The game itself ain’t the same!
Thanks for this long journey and nice Intro TnT family!🙏🏿
Y’all’s reactions were EVERYTHING! 😂
Never noticed thor had some braids😂 is this wat they mean with that vikings had their own type of braids im sorry I apologize for my ignorance
Also i heard that if you go to the closet where Tyr was sleeping in Sindri's house you can find raven feathers, another hint xD
Thor and Thrud definitely like Atreus.
Siff was identifying as Jada Pinkett Smith lol
BRRRRRUUUHHHH….. EXACTLY!!!!
Rewatching this back with you guys made me realize how many clues there were that led to Tyr being an imposter. Also you guys should start playing some games as well. It really impacts the immersion when you watch. It would be interesting to see how different you guys see some of these series when you manually play it.
Kratos is such a good dad
Dad of war
Cue the GTA San Andreas clip, "Ah shit, here we go again."
It makes you wonder with all these similarities with mythology and religion........was there an ORIGINAL one story in the beginning that branched out into many throughout the history of the world?🤨🤔
holy moly god of war ragnarok valhalla was crazy. you guys are going to love it
Can we give it up for Sindri's voice actor? That utter despair was so damn believable.
Tasha never missed a beat. Great catch
Me: Ok
11:09 Mask completed and right on queue is Odin and a whole lot of "OTHER" problems 13:50 Me: Whelp Atreus, I think it's time to make a quick escape.
PLOT TWIST: ODIN WAS PLAYING AS TÝR
27:33 Freya: We need you HERE!
It's so perfect that there's new DLC coming out on tomorrow so when we get to the final we still get more episodes 😭👏🏾👏🏾❤️
I like how the game didn't have you fight any enemies for a while after Brok dies.
Ouuuu I've been waiting on this episode I can't wait to see yall reaction. I know Tee gonna lose his mind!!!
26:27 Well, I see 3 gods on screen you can trust.
That intro is 🔥🔥🔥
Brok will be missed 😢
Waiting 4 years to play the sequel and then having this happening to Brok. The emotions this story puts you through.
You Guys gotta prepare for the DLC soon
The reveal in this video that Tyr was Odin was kinda stareing you in the face every time he spoke. In the subtitles from the first moment you met him, "Tyr" was spelled incorrectly. There's suppose to be an accent mark above the Y. It shows up every time someone speaks his name but every time "Tyr" speaks it's always missing.
I was waiting for y'all to experience this part. The deception was wild!
17:20 EXACTLY! IKR?!?!?!😆😆😆😆😆
Yup. Seems like Thor has blind loyalty to Odin.
Odin playing Among Us IRL
Man the climax has started!! Let's go!!
I've been waiting for y'all to get to this point 😂. Yep those are the faces i was waiting to see y'all make 😂
