Its interesting that when they heard his voice before seeing him, they knew it was Kratos. This is the first game out of the total of 7 that Kratos was voiced by a new actor, who doesn't sound exactly like the original, yet they knew. Powerful
there are few characters, even in games with large people, who have such a deep echoing voice as recognizable as kratos. not to mention that the VA also controlled the voice to the specific tone to match a sort of older deeper tone that still fit with the old games and is easier to recognize

well the dude who was the maestro was also the music choreographer for all the music on GoW 4 and he took inspiration from the originals and blended it with nordic culture to get the masterpiece soundtrack we got. that is why, even the first few beats, even of a different song can make you think of the most famous fictional god we know
Coming back here after beating the game...knowing now what ive gone through with Kratos and Atreus makes this orchestra score that much more emotional. Well deserved 10/10 for both game and reaction. L&R allies, i hope you enjoyed the game as much as the rest of us.

The chanting and music grows louder and faster as a silhouette rises up from the pentagram. It hovers in the air and begins to glow brighter and brighter. There was so much unspoken during that demo. Kratos' hesitance to get close to his son. Accepting that to hunt means to kill. So many things that took advantage of actions rather than just words - it was wonderful to watch.

Anyone else who had watched this reaction video has probably either played and finished the game already or had watched playthrough videos. Imagine the next game would be where Kratos fights Thor. And then when Kratos calls for his axe, Thor's hammer came instead expressing submission to Kratos. Then the scene focuses on Thor's half surprised and half scared face. That would be epic.

Kratos' wife is a Giant and his son is actually Loki. So his is the last Giant. There is a wall that predicts the future in the last area of the game. And the last prediction on the wall is taht Kratos will die, and from there Atreus, who is Loki will seek revenge for his fathers death and will trigger the events that lead to Ragnarok.
I cant explain in detail because i did not make the game. You know that Santa Monica change some of the norse mythology to fit the game right ? So in God of War the giants are human sized. Atreus is part human, part giant and part god. He is Loki.
i hope they aproach this carefully, kratos losing loved one has been done to often. i hope this is like the last of us or we actully play the kid. i know many fans a little dissaproves about the new gameplay.... but i like the changes, i guess it's like bring some new thing to new god of war frencise
I think it might be like Last of Us. Kratos seems a lot more mellowed out now, he has a (possibly adopted) son, and is teaching him how to live, though he doesn't seem to want to get too close to him. It will be cool if the story is just Kratos trying to preserve the new world from the machinations of gods and monsters.
Actually Im a huge god of war fan and I welcome the change seems like it has more depth to the story and gameplay while retaining the energetic action of the previous games :)

If the sons name is Thor then it would explain why there are electric sparks whenever the boys arrow(s) lands on the troll.

Kratos' wife is a Giant and his son is actually Loki. So his is the last Giant. There is a wall that predicts the future in the last area of the game. And the last prediction on the wall is taht Kratos will die, and from there Atreus, who is Loki will seek revenge for his fathers death and will trigger the events that lead to Ragnarok.
I cant explain in detail because i did not make the game. You know that Santa Monica change some of the norse mythology to fit the game right ? So in God of War the giants are human sized. Atreus is part human, part giant and part god. He is Loki.
8 years later, I miss Ben Moore, Kyle Bosman, Brandon Jones, and Brad Ellis, I miss them alot.
This game better have an in game screenshot function like TLoU and Uncharted.

i hope they aproach this carefully, kratos losing loved one has been done to often. i hope this is like the last of us or we actully play the kid.

I think it might be like Last of Us. Kratos seems a lot more mellowed out now, he has a (possibly adopted) son, and is teaching him how to live, though he doesn't seem to want to get too close to him. It will be cool if the story is just Kratos trying to preserve the new world from the machinations of gods and monsters.

Actually Im a huge god of war fan and I welcome the change seems like it has more depth to the story and gameplay while retaining the energetic action of the previous games :)
As long as those normal enemies are not always as easy as its tutorial , it could be great, though.
Lordgunslinger Of course the enemies aren't going to be too easy. They're normal enemies, I'm sure that there are stronger enemies ready to tear us a new asshole later in the game.
