LDRC Update - New Gyro + New Remote
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 січ 2024
- I had the Flysky Transmitter and 20a ESC laying around in the R/C spare parts bin. I decided to try them out on the LDRC car. Its nice having a larger transmitter and being able to adjust gyro gain remotely.
Also got the NEW Onisiki Micro Gyro. It actually performs pretty well
DISCLAIMER: I did hook this gyro up to the stock electronics and some weird issues arose with the throttle. I guess the the stock ESC doesn't like the Micro Onisiki gyro. So this seems like not the best upgrade for stock electronics. If you're reading this, just know I finally have a DasMikro v5 Gyro on the way for testing!
Lets gooo. Im on a dumborc x6pm with bl3fg esc and retained all my light functions aswell. Crazy smooth too. I love how we all are pushing the limits of the base chassis! Super excited to see what other mods you do. Looks awesome
Yooo @MooseRidez you need to make a video on how it all works for us......pleeeeeeaaaaassseee
bro you need to teach us how to do it
Dope 🔥 Mine should arrive next week and im hyped. Gonna grow with it and the Inspiration from your Videos ❤
Have fun with it!
I done the battery box mod on one of my cars turned out so nice looking i done the other today and ill probably do the rest when they arrive 😅
hello do you have a video on how to change the remote for this ldrc?
Can you do a video on the esc? I would like to see how you connected it to the motor. And yea at this point I say cut the battery housing, maybe leave the piece that's next to the motor so nothing touches it when it gets hot. Thanks for your videos!
You have to use a soldering iron to connect it to the esc. Good call on the battery housing, I’ll be sure to leave that part!
I have the same car and i just received the DasMikro v5 gyro today and the connections don't seem to match up. I might just be confused but im curious to see if you can make it work. Loving these videos keep it up.
You figure it out bud?
Where did you buy the car I like your content keep the work going
Thanks! I bought the car on aliexpress. Just search LDRC 1802
Hello. Can you also control the lighting with your transmitter upgrade? I received my AE86 today and will test drive it for the first time tomorrow 🤙🏻
same question
Would a 30a esc be overkill and do you think that this could work with the stock internals plus gyro and servo upgrade
I think a 30a esc would be fine. I’ve actually gone back to just using the stock electronics.
Bro you say how much all that cost to make including the transmitter
If you replace the transmitter and receiver, what about the lights, can they be turned on?
I’m sure you can, but I’m not sure how to wire it up. I’m actually back to just using the stock electronics, they work well enough.
hey! my ldrc just arrived today, i also have a dasmikro gyro, but the wires are different, someone said there was an adapter i could get, do you know what that would be? any help is appreciated, thanks
Hm, I'm not sure... I dont have the Dasmikro gyro
@@APEXRCGARAGE i think i figured it out, adapter is on the way, i'll let you know how it is in a couple weeks time
I bought the RLAARLO CT-8 controller/receiver combo that comes with a built-in Gyro. I can't make the receiver to turn on. Do I have to buy a new ESC? Do you recommend one that is plug& play?
Yeah, when you upgrade the transmitter/receiver you also have to upgrade the ESC. Any small 20amp ESC should work. Just find one with decent reviews. Bought mine a while ago so I can’t remember the brand!
@@APEXRCGARAGE why 20amp? For the compatibility with the motor?
Could anyone recommend any drop in receiver/transmitter combo for this? And is a ESC necessary? If so, is a drop-in unit possible? I wanna upgrade since the stock transmitter is a cheap hunk of plastic
I like the FlySky stuff, pretty good for a budget setup. Check out the FlySky GT3B. They have other transmitters too, depending on budget.
You will have to upgrade the ESC if you want to use a new transmitter
@APEXRCGARAGE Got it, so what about the ESC? Are there any drop-in units, or would I have to go to the soldering route?
Was it difficult getting the motor connected to that ESC?
If you have a solder iron, it’s pretty easy to do
Bro could you make an much cheaper and budget version
I’ve been playing with RC for quite a few years, so I had this stuff lying around from previous cars. I think if you want a true budget build just stick with the original transmitter and only upgrade the gyro.
