As usual, great video. On my RX-7 I spent literally hours figuring out why it kept on turning one way when accelerating. I tried all kinds of toe/camber settups. Turned out to be one rear arm was stiff and was applying more pressure on that wheel. Once I freed up the joint and adjusted the suspension, it was much easier to drift.
your videos on the LDRC inspired me to get my own. It should be with me soon, I`ve already ordered the DasMikro Gyro and will try to replicate what you did. Thank you so much for making these videos on the LDRC!!
All your videos help a bunch. I Put together a RX7 with a Hobbywing quicrun 1625, Dasmikro v5, elrs receiver. Paired it my jumper t-pro radio. throttle curve and “turbo like” spike at the end of the throttle. Lots of tuning possible for this inexpensive setup. Drive great, setting the rest of the basement up with smooth tiles now because of it!
Awesome, sounds like you have a great setup of electronics!
Thanks for this! Mine just arrived the other day and it needs some serious love in the re-alignment department now that I've learned what you covered in your video.
absolute legend thank you for making this helpful video
I love this video😊 This is really helpful and I will try for mine thanks!!!!!
I love my rx7. Allignment out of the box was very bad tho. But after figuring that out and adding a different gyro it now works like a charm
Big Thks for the tips 💪🏻🐼👍🏻🏆
This is badass
Thank you for the solution
Nice video man!
Have you noticed that the AE86 comes with the upper control arms more rearward than the rx7, creating more castor?
There is a white spacer in the assembly that is in the opposite position. I zoomed in on your videos and my cars are exactly the same with the spacer rearward on the AE86 and forward on the rx7.
I wonder if you can change it and whether there would be any benefit to extra castor on the rx7 which would allow you to run more negative camber...
Sorry, just to clarify, I'm talking about the front end
Great Video mate. I am your newest subscriber! I am going to buy the NSX version. Since I am going to upgraded to a better gyro should I go with the cheaper version which doesn't have the internal gyro? Do you know if the cheaper version has other differences beside the built in gyro?
Seems like a good idea to just buy the one without the gyro if you will upgrade anyway. I don't have one that didnt have the built-in gyro so I'm not sure what all the differences are
Hi, is the gyro your suggesting the one from the rx7 build video? Thankyou I really love these videos your doing.
Yes 👍. The DasMikro V5. Easily the best gyro I've tested
Thnx for the videos👍bought an rx7 and a ae86. The ae86 steering wheel locks (gets stuck)on Full lock any1 else have this problem? Other than that really enjoying them
When is the new video?
Hello, thanks for the video, I have a question about mine. The wheels are shaking and I already put a gyro on it, like you, is that normal?
I have my two RX-7's coming shortly!
The parts department is limited, and the bodies to choose from are nil. I'm hoping to purchase a 3d printer and adjust everything!
Nice video...
Nice! I like the Rx-7 better performance wise. It's actually a little bit wider than the AE86.
@APEXRCGARAGE will you please make a video showing specific set ups for the gyro. I'm having problems getting it to disabilize even after I turn off the internal gyro? Thank you
Does the das micro v5 work woth stock electronics? In your installation video seems like you are using aftermarket receiver which would be the best gyro for stock electronics? For beginners i mean less hassle the better
Yes this is using the stock electronics, with dasmikro v5 gyro. You don’t need to upgrade anything else to use that gyro.
Great video, you are the best !!
I have the LDRC NSX with no internal gyro (I bought an external gyro) but it doesn't drift. It has shaking wheels/jittering servo (even when I set gain at 60/65%)...Do you have any idea how I can fix that? Thanks
Hmm I’m not sure. Could be the gyro you are using. I’d try the dasmikro v5. I’ve had the best results with that one
@@APEXRCGARAGE Ok, thank you!!😄
how the heck do you pull out the cable for them lights
In 4:24 if i shorten the links to toe out the front wheels, the links as become shorter they lock the steering and the steering stay steered in one angle left or right and the servo can't centered itself at all and i should do it with my hand. I have problem with this model. I bought 2 models, one in red and one in white, the white has this problem. The red model is perfect and the red seems that has longer steering links witch is very good, but i am not so sure about this, but seems that are much more longer and i don't have this problem that the steering stuck in one angle left or right. In the white model seems that the problem is a combination of short steering links and soft and long servo horn. The red model stopped working after 2 days probably is the esc problematic but the basic problem is the steering system in one of my models. The esc is a cheap replacement so i don't care about this problem. Probably the steering problem this has happend to other people also.
Have you ordered the NSX ? I have had one Aliexpress seller that never shipped out. I am waiting on an other. Fingers crossed.
No, I haven’t ordered that one. I’m waiting instead for the GTR that should be coming out soon 🤞
@@APEXRCGARAGE You should try and monetize your videos with affiliate links and try and get into contact with LDRC for this upcoming GT-R (hopefully) for a pre release.
@@PeterHewat Not a bad idea! I'll look into it
Really useful video. But can we have quieter music less time please? I struggled to hear what you were saying some times
I'll work on my audio levels, thanks for the feedback!
3d printing is not for everyone and when i see video that contains 3d printed parts for upgrade i don't support it. I prefer to do some work with dremel style tools or do halls or plug and play parts and things like these in general. 3d printing cost a lot of money, cost space in the house and needs knowledge, so is not helpful at all. But if you can buy already 3d printed parts or if you can order a part from someone to print it for you then let's say is acceptable. I have skip a lot of videos that contains 3d printed parts because are not helpful. I support rc car videos until i saw 3d printing then i stop to support.
Blah blah blah. 3-D printing is cheap. Just pay someone local to do it for three dollars.🤦♂️
You're totally right. Fk em
🤓👆um actually I'm too broke and stupid to use smth like pepekura to make a paper craft of a model
