Damn! Where was this easy conversion when i did mine 5 months ago? This is actually a really good tutorial on rwd conversion. After going through many iterations on mine this is hands down the easy/best ive seen for non 3D printed! 👍
Awesome to stumble across your magic! Thank you for your fine work pimping rides!! Looking forward to following your tutorials…. start stop rewind’ seventeen thousand times…. Nice 🚘
I actually postponed this project for quite a long time because I wasn't confident working with small RCs. However, after trying it, I found it’s not that hard; you just need to be patient.
It’s good if you’re running it without the body, the steering link as you can see 5:21 it pushes out further than the wheel. when body is placed,it will hit the fenders
I cut the ball head screw so it sits lower (see the short update video in the description). I can still use the stock body just fine, as you can see in my other videos. For example, in this video: ua-cam.com/video/ZnSnHN3VKT0/v-deo.html
I hate this chassis because of the gearbox comes clogged and tight, I really wanted it to work, but the differentials comes very tight inside of the gearbox, it’s just a nightmare, I bought three of them, is it just me or it’s a common problem?
Yes, it's a common problem. I already mentioned it in my review video. My simple solution is just to use it, and after a while, it will get better. However, we can also do a few things to 'loosen' it faster. You can search Beaver's Hobby channel on UA-cam for tips fixing this issue and many other tips on WL Toys 1/28.
You need to make sure the servo horn is at center when you install it. Remove the servo horn, make sure the dumbo RC steering trim is at center then install the servo horn again.
It depends on your wheels offset. The wheels might be scrubbing against something; for example, they could be touching the suspension notch on the lower arm. You may need to trim it or make it even. The point is to pay attention to whether the wheels are touching anything.
Make sure the steering link rod is in the correct position. The front and back of the steering link are not the same; they are different. You might have accidentally flipped the front and back. Or maybe you need to tighten the servo horn onto the servo. Fyi, if you use bigger servo, you can easily adjust the servo position as in this video: ua-cam.com/video/X8ltmc2TKEE/v-deo.html
So far, so good. But of course, there's always a risk with any modification, so proceed at your own risk. You might want to wait until this video series is complete, as I might discover some updates. Fyi, you can view some drift scenes on newer videos (link is on description).
I install some cheap gyro (RBR/C gyro that usually for WPL D12) and it can drift, but not that good. I'm pretty sure if I install better gyro (Dasmikro Gyro V5), it will perform better. But I need servo connector converter first since my 28431 electronic using 1.25mm JST plug will Gyro V5 use JST 1.5mm ZH plug.
You really need to run it first. It's not that simple. Otherwise people would've already done it with success. For such a small scale, alignment and tune will really be more sensitive.
Actually, people already did this three years ago with a slightly different method. I just made it simpler, easier, and in a shorter video. I totally agree with you; mini RC is more sensitive (I recently learned that, lol). Anyway, I've tried to install a $10 gyro, and actually, it can drift, but the problem is the servo glitch. Most likely, it's because I used a cheap gyro, or I need to buy a ferrite magnet to minimize electronic interference. I will make a video using this cheap gyro; I just don't have time yet. But in short, the progress so far is promising. Stay tuned for updates.
1. I'm not ruining my car; it drifts okay. 2. This video is for those who don’t want to buy parts or 3D print them themselves. 3. In my country, for the same price as the AXCWA V2, I can get a full 3D-printed chassis and parts from front to rear with high mount motor + better gear ratio. So, if I have to choose, I would choose to buy the full 3D-printed parts instead of just the front part of the AXCWA V2. 4. For some people, it’s fun to modify and tinker with their RC cars themselves. But it’s your car, so it’s your choice bro :)
Saya cuma nulis script aja, yg ngomong bukan saya wkwkwkwk. Kalo saya ngomong English juga masih belepotan. Btw channel yg indo bisa cek youtube.com/@kuiktip ya. Biasanya upload duluan di channel itu baru disini. Dan kadang kalau ga sempat, ga upload disini juga.

Tip for future, Thread lock is for Metal to metal surfaces and pending the plastic can actually damage/soften the plastic.

Thanks, man! That was the video I was looking for! Big hug from Brasil!
Glad it helped!
Well done buddy 😉🤜🤛
Need to get my whole setup out of the garage and make it like this.
Keep up the good work
Thanks 👍

Nice 🚘
Wow thank you! I hope you can make it fine.
To all the k989 converters, I found an amazing shock absorbers from scx-24, this is the most remarkable suspension you will ever have
Thanks for the tips 👍
Lol I don’t even have one of these and I’m watching this ,,, very nice explanations of the process very cool video
Appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it.
Insane you figured all this stuff out...and car seems really nice, not for everyone, but a few guys out there will be able to do this...

Sweet dude my buddy's and I all picked these up last year and need to do this.
Hope you can make it bro. Check for a short update: ua-cam.com/users/shorts8AEGstPbHTA?feature=share
Only use threadlock for metal to metal contact :) Threadlock can damage plastic!
Welp, didn't know that. I use the blue one and it seems fine until now but I don't know for long term period. Don't use the red one for sure.
Do we need to buy more ball heads? or some of them are left out after the cutting process?
We don't need to buy more ball heads because we convert it to monoshock.
@@kuikmix Thank alot

Hey! i have a problem where when i turn right there isnt enough steering angle,u think u can help me out? (im using a dumborc transmitter)
You need to make sure the servo horn is at center when you install it. Remove the servo horn, make sure the dumbo RC steering trim is at center then install the servo horn again.
Sir, you are a genius!
Wow, thanks!
Why mine wltoys when its at the max steering angle the front wheel doesnt spin?
It depends on your wheels offset. The wheels might be scrubbing against something; for example, they could be touching the suspension notch on the lower arm. You may need to trim it or make it even. The point is to pay attention to whether the wheels are touching anything.
If i dont want that extra bit when it hits the lower arm do i stop there ?
Yes. It already give you plenty steering angle.
How should i fix if the steering link rod hits the servo horn? Great video btw subscribed already!

Hi, very usefull.
Do you think wltoys will bring out a rwd drift car?
Thanks 👍
I'm not sure, but if they pay attention to what customers want, I think they should make it.
@kuikmix would you recommend ldrc rwd drfts cars?
I've never had one, but many people are quite satisfied with the LDRC drift cars.
@kuikmix thanks, I'll maybe get one.
God bless you :)
God bless you too bro 🙏
nice vdo mate
Thank you :)
Reall Big engel
Wow, thanks! I subscribed.

Thanks :)
Is this strong enough? Reliable?
And able to drift?

This is almost exactly what i did to mine a week ago, im surprised that no one else had thought of doing it this way. Mine still handles poorly though

Om velg nya beli dmn?? Info link nya dong om

acxwa V2 for k9 series is good for those who don't have skills on making this is hard to recommend. you'll end up ruining you car..

Apparently, there isn't a need to write in complete sentences either.
What do you mean?
No need conversion kit. No need 3d print. "There isn't a need for a conversion kit or a 3d printer. "
Good catch, Mom.
