Thank you all for watching this video! If you are interested in building a Teardrop yourself, we have this Teardrop's SketchUp file available! www.woodbrew.tv/store/p/woodbrew-teardrop-camper-plans
A magnetic reed switch would be perfect for your overhead “kitchen” lights, once the hatch is opened, they turn on, then closed, they’re off!!! Wire it normally closed. 😉 Love the series, you guys are so close to the finish line!! Can’t wait to see the new workshop start to go up! 😊👍
First video of yours I've watched. Upside: Nice craftsmanship. Downside: "Let's add all our leftover wood to the hatch that's already too heavy." Seeing as you're probably cooking under the hatch, I'd have finished it with something fireproof and light. Nomex or Kevlar cloth, or sheet aluminum. After going to town on all the spars with hole saws and the oscillating tool to lighten it by 1/2 or 2/3.
The trailer is coming along nicely, i bet you guys will be glad to get it rolled out and gone. I must say Dylan, you have some crazy mad skills for your youth, that does not seem to happen as much these days. Great job both of you
Using a plug & socket on the wiring between the rear hatch & camper will make removing/reinstalling the hatch easier in the future. As always, well done with the build.
You're almost there :) I bet you will be happy to have this done. It seems like it was a big project. That storm was really loud! Storms are good for napping ;) Have a great week!
Great looking camper! I don't know if it's still possible... But maybe add some bumpers to those hatch corners. Without some protection it looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Wow the gally looks so great all lit up. Dillon, i think with the movement and some twisting of the trailer, putting individual pieces of wood on the counter, would not be good, for they will come lose, one piece is your best bet.
I can't help but think that some sort of lock or rod to prop that lid up, just in case. I would hate to be standing there when those gas struts give out. Could be a bad day for someone. Also, definitely curious what it weighs fully "stocked". I thought I remember you mentioning weights on some materials, but not sure if you've been keeping track or have a goal. Looking forward to seeing it roll out and down the road.
"Really Cheap windows...." ??? Ive never found anywhere that sells rv windows cheaply. So i assume you mean "flimsy". But, just in case i'm wrong, and you actually do know a source for cheap rv windows, please let me know.
Clearly you thought it through and did your research… but what gave you confidence to cut through this much structure without worrying about weakening the trucks frame? I mean no offense - legit question. Love the channel!

When this thing rolls out we will never have to remove this hatch again🤣
*Well done.... yep almost there....*
The camper is looking good Dylan & Molly :) Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍😎JP

Hoping we can get a good idea when it’s all done!
Did you finish the inside of the hatch? Being exposed to the outside air for so long, it'll swell and try to move if you don't/didn't.
Where did the vents come from? They look really nice 👌🏼
Amazon! Linked in the description too!
Would be nice if the power to the enclosed lights would turn off when the hatch is closed. You’ve gone this far. What’s one more switch? 😀
Magnetic reed switches are easy to wire (and hide)
I know you haven't forgotten about the license plate/light right? :-D
You are so right. A bracket with a light is a requirement.
Stainless steel counter top

How much bed liner did you use?
I think it was 6 quarts!
