Yeah as he said frame gen totally ok for flight sims n single players etc totally agreed on that point. Although even in flight sim i opt to disable it and have lower latency. It's not so ideal in the fps genre space and certainly more so not in pvp encounters, u want all the raw mouse input u can grab really. It's looking like we might just have to deal with that increased input latency though if we're chasing higher frames untill they hopefully flesh it out and optimise. Great vid btw david it's nice to see all the variations of graphic settings and nvidia tech wizardry against what impact that has on in game performance. Good job!
For people wondering about builds and fps. I have a 3080 and on medium and some low settings with upscaling and 4K with FG, I’m able to get a consistent 70-85 fps with minimal micro stutters.
If anyone is struggling with fps change reflections to medium otherwise ray tracing is on. Ultra settings rtx off 1440p frame gen dlss guality and I manage to get 120-130 fps on rtx 4070ti i9900k 64gb RAM Game installed on ssd . So as u can see even old cpu can manage .
@@ifacecamp717I'm completely pc iliterate, does running the dlss make games look worse? I havnt tinkered at all with settings as I just got my 1st gaming pc at 54 yrs old lol. Really tho does dlss deteriorate graphics?

7900X3D 64GB Ram and 3090Ti 4k DLSS Performance and High GFX and about the same 100 FPS but it's suggested to be using FSR on 30 Series Nvidia cards. FSR has frame gen on 30 series cards where DLSS doesn't. I played with the settings though and FSR with frame gen / DLSS without gave pretty similar FPS. As I say this they have pushed an update so things might have changed, plus @UrielUK mentioned that turning Reflections down can make a big difference too. Will try again and report back :)
I agree FSR is better for 30-Series, Epic Quality on all settings, FSP supersampling and Frame Gen gives me 90FPS without frame gen I get 65fps, so frame gen is pulling its weight. While i can't feel any lag in movement I'm still tempted to turn it off and adjust the quality down to get better reaction speeds on aiming. 🤔
Imagine not having shit in life to the point where you have to get on a random UA-cam comment just to tell everybody what you have. I’ll tell you what you wanna hear you’re so cool dude that shit is so cringe.
13:02 Yeah, I've got a 3090 and an i9-12900KF, but I didn't even bother upgrading monitors past 1080p; I want smoothness of motion and frames above all else, and while my PC is still no slouch, if you want those kind of frames you're probably not playing the heaviest titles in 4K.
Have you tried FSR in lieu of DLSS? I have on an old 2080, but even with the Nvidia GPU I was getting far, far more frame with FSR than I was with DLSS. Almost like DLSS is bugged.
i play at 1080p on a 24" monitor and this game's dense foliage looks like ass on my mo itor, im guessing its because of the low pixel density im hoping to upgrade to 1440 in hopes of fixing this
I believe the 9800x3d or whatever it will be called will be great in this game when it releases, hopefully later this year... id say will be a cpu worthy of upgrading from 5800x3d
I had to same issue and same exact setup . I had to go into my and set cpu turbo power limits to baseline intel settings. Had to do all that in bios startup screen. Lot of problems with those intel processors and running Unreal engine intense games .
I have the 4090 RTX and the i9-14900 R16 with the 34in 3440-1440 165hz Alienware Monitor. im getting 165 too 175 in game fps. The game runs fine on my setup. Emersive and tactical game. This game will be a GPU stressed game. I would not recommend this game for any one with a lower end computer setup or even lower medium end setup. But don't take my word for it. I'm not having any issues with what I am running.
FSR is better for me on a 3080ti. I get 80ish with DLSS and 120 (my cap) with FSR Quality. 1440p. It seems to be much more of a CPU game like Arma. I get 90-120 with a 3080ti Core i7 9700K. and my friend gets 20-30+ fps than me on a 3080 non ti and a newer CPU.
So basically you have to tweak the hell out of the game so you can get some decent fps and hope for the best? 😂😂 nowadays these games are getting better and better.... oh and for those who say But but is an early game......Why would you release an unfinished game in the first place???

Yeah
At 2k my 13th gen i-7 based 4070ti system is giving me 130-140fps at epic in the main base. This is with DLSS quality. I'm happy with that.
yeah cause running dlss in an fps shooter that is literally all about "how beautiful it is" seems such a great idea...
How are yall happy with that? DLSS and FSR make the game look horrible
