A big part of it has to do with AKs not having as good of ammo and no access to any barrel lengths. Speaking of the latter, they need to balance barrels too, annoying how the meta is to just go for the longest especially on the MK18 because all that is supposed to be is a shortened M4 but in this game people turning them into DMRs lol. Only downside with longer barrel is you need more room to aim down sight when hugging/peeking cover which really is next to not even being noticeable.
Rk3 from artisans rewarded aks are better then Rk9 also find them on weapons in loot crates, b10m hand guards on ai are best with dd foregrip lv 3 gunny and Dkm 1 muzzlebreak Hope this helps

Yep, aks are not able to compete on long ranges in this game sadly
Imo AK is so underpowered compared to m4 and mk18... what do you think about it?
100% worse bullets and recoil. Mk18 and m4 are def better

@@Sol3Ztotally disagree. Sometimes I've dropped NPCs with less ammo with PP 5.45 and and BT than my friends running green or black tips.

It is on the prebuilt AKM. Expensive but you technically CAN buy it
