We split the video up into 3 sections:
    Must-Have
Fishing license bought via gov website
Fishing Rods (min 2.75 test curve usually but always check rules on the waters you’re fishing)
Fishing reels (Bait runners are a great start)
    Strong line (15lb min)
    Banksticks, buzz bars or pod
Bobbins (Gives tension in line between the reel and bite alarm, important to help with bite signals)
Bite Alarms (You can spend loads but it's not needed to start we both started with 40/50 quid set of Saber alarms)
Butt rests (We use magnetic ones but you can get all sorts and they can be picked up dead cheap)
Large landing net (36” minimum for most specimen venues)
    Carp cradle/mat
Carp care (Very important to treat any wounds and the lip where the hook has come out)
    Retain/weigh sling
    Scales
Tacklebox (small one would do to start)
    End tackle
    hooks, hooklinks or ready-tied rigs
    Leads or feeders
    Disgorger
    Rig tubing (depending on venue)
    PVA mesh or solid bags
Bait (Boilies, Pellets, Pop ups - It can get very confusing)
    Baiting needle
    Bait bucket
Chair (a nice comfy chair to allow you to kick back and chill)
Large bag to chuck everything in
    Must have for night fishing
Bivvy (Most serious venues won’t allow tents)
    Bedchair
    Head torch
Sleeping bag (Can use any but if you get a bedchair sleeping bag it will strap to your bed)
    Bivvy light
    Nice to have
    Rod holdall
    Gas
    Stove
    Kettle
    Powerbank
    Barrow
    Bivvy table
    Spod rod and reel

Nice one chiefs, like the fact you are not trying to impress the need to spend bags of money, not selling brands, just all about the kit and why. Saying it how it is, without a salesman spin, enjoyed it, many thanks for taking the time to upload for us!

One thing I would pay more for is a top bed system, other than that would never be conned with carp tax on other items!

nice guide lads, can I add two points: unhooking mat or cradle and buy the best/sharpest hooks you can find as good hooks hook more often than cheap hooks.

Good vid fellas! all I need now is bedchairs for me and the boy. Ive bought most of my gear second hand so I could afford decent quality brands. I scored an NGT fortress 2 man Bivvy for £100 last week! Turns out its never been used, not even been set up!
Whens the next video btw? are you out fishing this weekend?

    • @FreshFishing
      @FreshFishing  3 роки тому

Ahhh spot on that mate! £100 for a 2 man bivvy is quality!!! Not this weekend bud but next weekend we’re back at Wainstones on pitchers new lake! We’ll be doing a live when we’re there and then the vid should be out the following weekend 👌
