sameee
Thank you Jack :) that's a lot behind what drove me to make them for others, it was something I'd have loved to have around growing up too.
@@fishingtutorials thanks for the heart
Same here even though I know how to do it I still love watching the videos❤️
I have been fishing from 7 years of age and am now 66 but I love listening to this young man your never too old to learn.
Ahh thanks David :)
Nonce
Had a 12 year gap since last fished freshwater. Really good video. Not advertised placements. Not patronising. Simple clear instructions would recommend for beginners and pros!
I appreciate that Toby, thank you so much for the feedback :)
Thank you. I'm restarting carp fishing and that jogged my memory of things I'd forgotten
Even for someone who think they know everything I’m sure there’s something this video touches on that can help everyone 👏 🎣
Yes
It’s impossible to not leave positive comments below that video - absolutely awesome content with great operator’s work and very useful tips for everyone-from beginners to pro. Thanks Carl!
Thank you very much! Wow, very much appreciate that. You're welcome! Glad it was helpful :)
@@fishingtutorials im interested in what bank sticks and bait alarms are you using?I prefer this over the rod pod.
Slowly getting into fishing in my mid 30's, wow does it help clear the head mentally. Massive thanks to Carl and alex for tips and advice or I would be lost. These are all saved to a playlist lol
I've been carp fishing twice with a friend and am hooked. Brilliant tutorial, excellent demonstration, and easy to follow. Thank you.
i haven't fished in about 10 years and just needed a brush up on setting rods up and this video is superb for new and returning anglers
I have experience of not just carp and coarse fishing but also sea fishing but I still watch these videos because I love seeing how you do it and how I can become a better angler!
Been float fishing now and again getting back into fishing since I was little, I’ve recently ordered carp reel, rod pod, bite alarm, pva mesh. My first carp fish starts tomorrow morning… thanks for this video
How did it go ?
Thanks for the great tutorial. After weeks upon weeks of online research into how to use pre-tied rigs to get started in carp fishing (in the USA where there's unfortunately very limited carp fishing resources), I watched your video ( for the fifth time), and FINALLY the lightbulb went off in my head. Thanks to you I believe I now understand the rigging process enough to get started on my carp fishing journey! Wish me luck!
I've been sea fishing for 30years, never been fresh water before. Just bought a complete 2 rod set up and videos like this have really helped me find the confidence and my way. Going for my first solo carp session this week. Hopefully with help from these I should find one.
That's great, wishing you all the best with it John :) Hope you enjoy it!
Tell us how it went
Know this video is a year old now, just caught my first carp today and now looking to get into carp fishing more this really helped thank you
I'm new to carp angling and wanted to give it a try, so I watched this tutorial and followed Carls setup. Worked flawlessly, landed 3 mirror carp within a few hours. Great well explained tutorial.
Great to hear! Cheers David, happy it helped :) all the best with your carp fishing!
Ciao Carl from Italy, love your teaching fishing videos, so clear, so precise in an easy-to-comprehend tone of voice. God bless you buddy!!!
Thank you mate!
Thank u Carl. Thank u. I've been fishing for a year, just simple float, feeder etc for carp. But never really understood how to set up a proper carp system like I see all the time on the banks. I'm always to embarrassed to ask and couldn't find anything on UA-cam like this. Cheers mate proper helps me out and when me boy gets older hopefully this video will help him to fish too.
You're welcome! :)
@@fishingtutorials not fanboying over here cuz u replied... deffo not...
I’ve been a course fisher for as long as I can remember and never got into carping, luckily I just won a competition where I won a full carping set up so now is my chance to get into it. I just know these videos will be invaluable to me as I really don’t know the first thing about carping, this video is a great start as everything is perfectly explained here for my first rig set up. I will look forward to watching many more of these tutorials in the coming days so I at least know the fundamentals before hitting the bank. Thanks and now subscribed. 👍 🎣
This will be the video that I send to everyone to explain what I am doing while carp fishing. Nice job!
Amazing, thank you! :)
As a complete novice this type of video is great for me. Well explained and kept simple. Thank you.
Amazing :) So happy to hear that Mark. You're welcome!
Thank you, have started carp fishing at 49yo and this video is exactly what I needed to get a rig set up and move away from a method feeder to hopefully catch some bigger carp.
Ah that's lovely to hear :) You're welcome Adrian! Good luck!
Very new to carp fishing and honestly found it confusing standing in the shop looking at all the stuff but watching this video I know I can go in and get these exact things and get started thank you for the video really helped 👏🏻
Glad to hear this! Pleased you feel more confident to get started and go for it :)
I must honestly say that this video is really helpful. Put together very nice and content made very understandable. WELL DONE!!
Ahh so glad it was helpful! Cheers Mario :)
New subscriber here!! The led clip, tubing, tail rubber, and the hair rig are all new tackle to me. So is the PVA bag. You have just shown me a whole new world of fishing!!! So glad I happened upon your channel. I love the British accent!!! Looking forward to more from your channel. 👍🏾👍🏾
Fished a lot when I was a kid, only every float and didn't know what I was doing otherwise. Fished carp just on surface with bread, great video and ordered some kit to give it a go and taking my son out who's keen to fish
Haven't been fishing for over forty years and it seems like everything has changed apart from the fish. Clear and concise steps to make things logical and understandable many thanks.
Thank you so much Carl for all of these detailed tutorials, they help me so much for someone who is still fairly new to carp fishing 👊🎉
Thank you for such an informative tutorial. I havent fished for about 8 yrs now and having recently retired I want to get back into it. easy to follow steps, I,m sure I will watch over and over to let the information sink in before I get the rods back out again!!
Wow, fishing for carp here in Australia is very different just a normal 5 or 6 foot rod with 2 hooks with worms and a sinker
And the pelicans hound you for your quarry, man they can handle a decent sized carp, damn greedy things,
Just bought every single thing listed in the vid (all Korda). Hoping to catch my first big carp this year! thanks a lot!
Ahh that's awesome! Good luck!! Let me know how you do :)
Just watched the video guys, it’s my first time carping this weekend. I’m all set and ready to go because of you guys. Thanks again guys!
Yay good luck mate! you're welcome :) Hope you have a fun time!
I’ve been general coarse fishing for years off and on and this year I’ve decided to target tench using a scaled down carp setup. This video has really helped to explain the basics of setting up the terminal tackle that all other videos I’ve watched have just skimmed over. Big thanks 👍
Ahh, so glad to hear :) you're welcome!
I love your videos, how they are filmed, edited and how you teach. Super helpful. Keep on going
Ahh thanks mate, I'm glad! Happy you find them helpful!
Been carp fishing for years but these videos still don’t disappoint 👍 Top man
Thanks Rees!! 👍
Not fished for 25 yrs after some scruff nicked my gear and I never replaced..
I used to float fish back then.. Now decided to try my hand back again, rigs were a mystery to me, you’ve just made it very simple.. great video, Thank you!
Thanks Carl, another brilliant vid. After carp fishing for years I'm going back to basics, simple rigs and less kit to make it more enjoyable. No one needs the latest fandango rig that takes nine years and 40 components to tie lol
Thanks James! Glad to hear :) Yes I agree, the more streamlined the kit the better!
Excellent video. Exactly what I was looking for as I'm just starting to learn about Carp fishing. I've read a few books but being a beginner to Carp you get a much better understanding by watching this video. I've been fishing for 60 years at a basic float and maggot level, (Apart from Pike) and recently started method feeder fishing. I started catching some good size fish around the 7lb weight which is good for me. That got my juices going and thought about getting in to fishing for bigger Carp. This video gave me exactly what I needed to know to get me started. I do fish for Pike and have had some at 14lb so I have an idea what a fight a big fish can put up. Thanks for posting this video. I've subscribed and look forward to watching more. Cheers.
Cheers! :) appreciate the comment
Thanks your video tutorials are excellent. It's given me the confidence to try carp fishing as you make the tutorials so easy to understand.. keep up the good work.
Just watched this vid, brilliant it took all the magic out of carp fishing and made it nice and simple
I have been fishing for a long time but I still love watching all kinds of videos from advanced down to basic. I really enjoy your videos Carl, you seem like a really nice guy too. I would recommend all beginners to the sport to subscribe and watch all of your videos. Whether it be aimed at Carp Anglers. a Float set up, River fishing or Pike and other Predator fishing. You really do cover it all.
An excellent video, Carl! Perfect for getting a complete beginner started with carp fishing. But also a great refresher for myself, who hasn't touched my carp gear in 10 years. Nicely filmed, relaxed, and well presented. I honestly believe that it can't be done better.
Keep up the good work!
I love fishing and fish in generally I have learned alot from u Carl thank u so much and love yr videos never miss one from Ashley from Wales uk
i just got into fishing as a 14 year old just a couple weeks ago and these videos really help, also love watching your main channel videos carl they are amazing
Amazing, glad you're getting into your fishing! Enjoy!
Thanks for this, me and my boy have only been fishing a year and I get confused with how I should set up etc. we caught our first carps recently (only 5/6lbs) off a hair rig and float. But I think I will try this as it seems more concise, I feel I’ve been blagging it up until now. Thanks for the video!
You're welcome! I know what you mean :) Always an amazing feeling to understand more about what's actually going on, and understand more behind it. All the best with your fishing!
Same here
After about 3 hours diddling about with a float and catching nada, I sat by the lake and watched this video, following the very clear instructions. I kid you not, 5 minutes with this rig et voila, a lovely 10lb carp. Bosh!
Wow nice :) Happy days!
thanks for the videos ive been wanting to fish my whole life and could never teach myself, and last august i caught my first carp, now i go every week, all thanks to you and alex!!
Ahh wow, Kyle! That's amazing to hear :) You're so welcome
This is a fantastic video! I am new to fishing, this has helped me massively - thank you Carl!
You're welcome! Thanks John :) Glad it was helpful!
Just taking up carp fishing now that i'm retired. This is a great tutorial on knots, the lead clip and tubing. Thanks.
You're welcome Jon. All the best with your carp fishing :)
Well done Carl for giving us a very very clear and easy to follow setting up video, even for well versed fishermen it's sometimes nice to get back to basics, nice one mate
Cheers Steve, glad to hear it :)
I'm just getting back into carp fishing and this tutorial helps refresh my memory. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for such a well made easy to understand guide, every time I watch you guys I learn something... never to old to learn, thank you

Love this channel!!! 👍🏻
Hahah
Thank you for this video I've only just started fishing and went for the first time yesterday and some other anglers made me feel a bit stupid for not knowing certain things so thank you for helping 👍🏻
hey Carl, you are one of if not the most inspirational people i watch on youtube even though i dont carp fish i always find myself coming back to u or your brother Alex's channel i love watching you have a good time fishing and love what your doing in life with your koi pond, your book, your channel, love it all especially your book i caught my pb pike 15.6 pounds, love the videos i hope u and Alex are enjoying yourself keep doing what your doing all the best

I sometimes enjoy setting up the rod and casting out and then just sitting in my chair, relaxing by the water and just watching the world go by more than I do getting a fish 😂
Just got into carp fishing from doing course fishing .did this setup and bagged 11 carp and lost 3 .
Great vid thanks
Great video. Im a trout fisherman and do some bass fishing but looking to start carp fishing. Lot of great info in this video.
This really helped me thank you so much i was really confused before
Glad it helped!
I still watch vids like this after knowing how to fish for 8+ years.
Been a life saver. Never carp fished in my life❤. 😮
Sorry Carl having commented before I feel that I need to do so again. Being of a certain age I find that if I have long gaps between fishing sessions, I just forget fundamental practices such as this and I struggle to remember what to do. That was until I found your channel and the way you describe various methods is so easy to understand even a simpleton such as me can comprehend what you are saying. So, thanks once again. It's also reassuring to know when bankside if I need help it's on my phone.
Thanks for the comment! Glad to have helped :)
Even though I haven't been fishing since I was a Kid, and that was a long time ago, it's never too late to take up fishing again. Obviously techniques have progressed and moved on, but your video is informative and to the point with some sound advice. Thank you..
Really happy to hear that :) and really glad you find the tutorials clear and useful - thanks so much Colin all the best with your fishing! Tight lines!
Yes very good mate and helpful to new people wanting to start in the magic of fishing 👍🏻
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks man :)
quite nice but i just use a cage with my set up, worked for me so far. ive noticed that cheap corn works better than expensive corn. well for me anyway.
Thank you for this video I started up fishing again and decided I wanted to start using a bite alarm your video made it so easy to set up for the first time and now I have tried pva mesh and the results are amazing
Happy to hear this mate! You're welcome :)
Your very professional really I learned a lot from you thank you so much for your help and support 😊
always enjoy your posts...whatever age anyone is , we can always learn something new... I was thinking , could you make a video to help show the different types of bite indication when feeder fishing. liners, knocks, small fish knocking the hell out of the feeder.all the way through to the rod almost being torn off the rest by a carp.i know most comes with experience, but it may help many who are giving what is a very good method a try for the first time...
Amazing Carl, super informative and interesting 👍🏼🎣
Cheers Sam :) Glad to hear!
Great beginners guide, as a more of a generalist fishermen, I found it extremely informative.
Great to hear that Stu :)
