Me and my mate have just got back into fishing and just being using feeder and float on coarse lakes but catching quite a fair bit of carp we are due our first all our just carp session and also our first night session in a weeks time, some useful time thank you

Just done three nights on my local river yare. Proper spartan style..i do wish id invested in a half ground sheet at least for my bed chair.. That damp and the cold done my nut in but I've always fished like chilly. Massively respect this man and his way of thinking..

I know it may go against what was just said, but also be aware of how you sleep. As I’ve got older, I am aware that I find inactivity leads to me falling asleep or at least feeling more tired. So while I agree that watching nature is the best, watching a film or series on an iPad can help you remain awake.
I am pretty much unable to fish when I fall asleep as I am able to sleep through an alarm! This was not the case when I was younger, but is the case now. It is different for everyone! Do what you need to do to get the most productive time out of your fishing. If that means bringing in the rods and getting some proper sleep, do it!
