Great install video, lots of detail. Knuckle spreader tool will help with pulling the front strut out. Also, the control arms should be jacked into their loaded position before tightening the bolts so that the bushings are clocked correctly. What is fender to ground measurement on these springs?
Thanks for the video sir! I'm planning to do mine at the start of the new year and I knew the front's will be a bitch and a half haha - this gives me an idea of what I'll be needing to try though, so thanks!
I would try to remove the factory rear springs without affecting the alignment in any way possible, perhaps with a spring compressor that would fit in that tight space.
Appreciate this video, it's suspension corn basically and I love it. HOWEVER, the Type-R is a suspension I would never mess with it. It's already sophisticated and no coilover could possibly be an improvement, lowering springs would be likely worse..... :(
sophisticated doesn't mean perfect. Nothing is. Any mid to higher tier coilover would be a huge improvement for these cars. Just because it's a Type R doesn't mean they set up the car well, the suspension is actually quite awful on the FL5. Using comfort mode I had myself bouncing around going "THIS IS COMFORT MODE???" while driving on track.
Looks great!!! Nice work and thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for this in depth video!

You'll be surprised in the ride quality commentary for the follow up video...
Not true. I’ve had the spoons for a year and ride quality is like factory but more planted. With the ITS suspension module … it’s near perfect.

Nice man I wish I could lower mine but my driveway is too steep for that. But good information where did you got the service manual information.
How is the ride quality in comfort mode compared to before
Thorough review to follow shortly of all the details on these springs.
Do you have spacers on there?
