    In this video i totally rust proof my chassis and do a review on this product. overall I think this is fantastic value for money with easy maintenance.
    I dont think I would ever go back to tradition underseals due to having to redo them after a few years time!

    Thanks for the video. The Hilux dual cab tray back needs an alternative to heavy thick 'peeling coatings' that trap water underneath when chipped. Mining out here is hot and assaults vehicles in ways you can not imagine. The vehicles are eaten away by rust with salt iron ore and inevitable stone chips. Mostly inside out deterioration in the chassis and poor access areas. (Lots of iron ore in the red dust). Nice video. Point to note Lanolin is natural and eco friendly. The main ingredient for Lanoguard.

    I have been under sealing vehicles for about twenty years. Have used many different products for years ie Dinitrol waxoyl etc. Used lanogusrd for the first time this week. Very impressed with how easy it was to apply. Obviously it’s early days so will look at it again after three months to see how durable it is. But so far so good.

    Nice job that, looks similar as far as application as other anti corrosion products like Dinitrol and waxoyl? Did you have to pressure wash the inside of the box members to get any muck out first?

    • @lifes.projects
      @lifes.projects  3 роки тому +1

      Thank You! I jet washed inside the chassis before I rubbed it down and then I had attacked it with the needle gun so washed it again before attacking it with the flat blades. I probably did abit of overkill but i didnt want bits of rust coming out when i was painting it. I think this stuff alot easier to apply and without a doubt alot cleaner in comparison.

  • @radiator0

    Was a bit gutted when i watched this upload because iv just had my landy rust proofed with hammerite waxoyl . Yeah this will protect for a year or two but will eventually dry out crack and most probably trap water. In my opinion far better spraying something lighter like AFC50 or Lanoguard which wont crack although will need to be done yearly...

    • @lifes.projects
      @lifes.projects  3 роки тому

      Its better than nothing. I noticed where the underseal (no idea what brand. It was already on when i bought it) had been applied properly the chassis was in fantastic condition. There was even a QC pass sticker that was still on the side from the factory.
      It may be worth speaking to Lanoguard and see if you can apply it over the top of your waxoil???

    • @radiator0
      @radiator0 3 роки тому +1

      @@lifes.projects Yes it is i hope, Its the third time it's been done 10lts each time so there's quite a thick covering on there and i top up with AFC 50 every couple of moths in winter to the worst rust traps. But i do believe little and often is the way to go in future. Was gonna order some lanoguard but then realised iv still got 2lts of AFC50 left which i can recommend by the way, before i buy anymore stuff....

    It looks like a great product, I was looking at using to do my Jimny. I have used waxoyl in the past but it is really a messy smelly job, does the Lanoguard eventually cure dry? If it stays tacky I don't want my chassis to look like the bottom of a budgie cage when the dirt sticks to it.

    • @lifes.projects
      @lifes.projects  3 роки тому +1

      I will be doing my Jimny when ive sorted it out. It drys yes but its soft if that makes sense. I know what you mean because thats how my chassis looked before. As far as i know it will jet wash off and the dort wont stick to it if applied correctly (not too thick)

    I may have to try this, I spent 5 days last summer applying the full range of Bilt Hamber products, it’s got an excellent reputation, I did a proper job, I even managed to use the services of a vehicle lift to finish it off, anyway, I pressure washed the underside at the weekend, checked it over today and it hasn’t bloody worked, it looks like I’ve never touched it, anyone want to buy a Defender?

    • @lifes.projects
