Thanks for taking the time to make this video and for posting it on here. Really appreciate it. And really glad you’re happy with it. You can treat the exhaust if you’d like too. :). And you mentioned copper slip, you can use the Lanoguard Moto Grease as a build grease too. Just a thought. Thanks again, Mark, Lanoguard.
Hi lanogard, I'm part way through the rebuild of a 1975 mini clubman estate. It's on a spit roast right now and will have zero rust when painted. So after I paint and before I reassemble would you recommend this product? I'm thinking of covering everything, inside the sills the entire floor, inside the wheel arches, both subframes, the list goes on. Then reassemble so that the product is everywhere on all surfaces between components etc not just over the top. Is this recommended for this sort of classic car application?
I came for the reviews before I bought and now I’ve bought it for my 2001 fiesta Zetec s I’ve got the kit but wished they added at least a wire brush to the kits, but if it works out I’m deffo a yearly customer
I'm really happy I found Lanoguard after years looking for something I could use myself to protect my cars. I did both my SUV and TT this weekend including engine bays with about 1.8L in total.
Great video fella.Open and honest. AS your LR looks a comp vehicle, am sure that those tyres will chuck up some 'shrapnal' testing the product. I would be interested to see the interfaces, where the Alu panels meet steel ( not always best of friends ! ) I am convinced. Thanks very much. Be lucky.
Nice job I did my motor earlier on this year brilliant stuff... wouldn't stop going on about it & ended up do all my mate's.... that'll teach me lol ...but seriously great review 👍
Love your drover. Butt. I ve got a Jeep Grand Cherokee that has failed mot. But had the immediate welding work done. Then derusted. In ten years I have neglected my motor. My bad. She’s worth maintaining cos she’z. A lovely ride.😊😂😜👍🏻✌🏻🙌🏻🏴🍷🇺🇸🇬🇧🏴
I am undecide. On a relatively new truck that has some sort of existing coating it will look OK. However on an old truck, - especially if you live in a salt-belt like The Highlands, or near the coast the truck will always look rusty. Pity they do not do a black version, like in the states. Because of this you will always wonder if it is doing its job especially inside the box cavities. Where I live under protection is an annual event, and have used Dinitrol. I may be going back to it.
Deffo. Going to sort to little bits out then give it another coat then have another look in 6 months. Also interested to see how it handles the winter.
So you sanded all the rust off the chassis. Rubbed it down. Applied red oxide primer and black top coat. Then applied lanoguard? After only a few thousand miles I’d like to think the chassis would be good with or without lanoguard? Need to try lanoguard on a rusty chassis to see if their claims are correct.
I've bought some of this Lanoguard to do the underside of my DC2-R Integra and a Honda Jazz. I hope it's as good as you say. I have used Bilt Hamber products with great results but they're difficult and messy to apply although they work well. If this Lanoguard is as good and easy to apply, I think I will have found my 'go to' anti corrosion product for the future.
I honestly cant fault it. Ive not cleaned my chassis or added any extra treatment and its fine. I am going to apply a winter coat the the Defender and i now have a few vehicles coming in for the treatment too.
Apparently it hermetically seals the surface and with rust requiring oxygen I think it basically pauses it in its tracks and it should stay that way until there is a break in the surface again.
Hi again. You kindly allowed us to use the prvious video as part of our web bits. Would I be OK to use this one too? Would be superb as part of a before and after video. Let me know. Warren - Lanoguard.
Hey Tom - sorry to keep bothering you! Could you drop me an email so I can ask you a couple of questions before I start on the videos? Thanks mate - I am at info@sixty6media.co.uk
Can you spray the lanoguard straight to the surface rust. Or do you need to use a rust converter first. Not sure how to find the video when you applied it
ua-cam.com/video/J1PsQX1qTIw/v-deo.htmlsi=MUGniLIPJ6xIH9Es This is the link to the other video. Just make sire you give it a good jet wash off. When its dry then you literally just spray it on.
@@luragg6008 thats the idea...... it takes 30mins wash all the dirt off before hand and its an extra layer of protection. To some chassis it might be an i fected wound but not mine as ive redone it. Still no rust 2 years later

No problem. I am not going to bother with the exhaust as i think i might get a stainless system soon but thank you for letting me know.

Brilliant update on the lanoguard its definitely the way to go with rust proofing, just used it on my Freelander so fast and easy to apply.
Honestly can't fault it. So far so good. I will be doing a winter update around December/January time
Great video. Tipped the scales on buying some for my VW T4. Thanks for posting.
Looks great. Got some ready to go on my Freelander 2. Looking forward to getting that sorted.
I’m convinced 👍🏻. I’ll be lathering it on mine asap. Cheers for sharing.
Good review and I’m jealous of your workshop. 👍
Cracking job buddy and thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 👍
Thanks for the follow up. Brilliant
Looks mint lanoguard definitely doing it’s job 👍❤️
Super helpful thank you !!
In what way is lanolin better than boiled linseed oil?

Very impressive, how much on average would an installation cost if a paid professional installer carried out the work for customers?

How is it holding up I plan to do my evo x ?
I read on lanoguards site you can spray straight onto rust!! Won't that keep rusting underneath or will it stop it going any further??

Has in been on road since you did it,or have you washed it because it looks very clean if it's been out?
Yeah been all over the country in it. That said last few long runs has been in the rain. Have a look on my instagram fair few towing jobs.
How many miles since you first applied, time is irrelevant if you've only done a few hundred miles
About 3-4k miles
Galvafroid then soudal anti gravel for me
And I'm praying to hace pone un the future. GOOG JOB
Thank you. I may do another video after the winter to see how it hold up

I didn't see your earlier video. Did you paint chassis first or over original paint.
Yeah. It had previously been under sealed before i got it but it was trapping the water in and causing it to corrode faster
Heres the link to the chassis video.

Can i double check, you used the lanogurad 10 months ago and in some part you see rust building up, is it correct?
Yes but only on the parts i didnt spray it like the rock sliders

Hi. What makes that front diff guard? Never seen one like it before. 😀
Honestly I have no idea 🤣. I asked the question on my diff guard video and know one knows. Very strong and good quality al give it that!
Ok, if you find out, can you post it on here 👍
@@stuartcaine1818 yeah will do
How's the lanoguard holding up now? Any more rust appearing?
Not as yet. Just given it a good steam off to give it another coat before the winter sets in!
Did the lanoguard convert the rust like the kurust hammerite?
I kind of seals it to stop the spread rather than convert it. If you go on the website you will see what I mean
@@lifes.projects I’ve got a Ford so definitely need a converter 😂
But will probably use the lanoguard once the chassis is painted
Hello i watch to day you that you May chango the exhaust
No idea when that will be but i have a system in mind when I do decide to replace it.
Languard....sounds like it's made from sheep squeezings....which is probably a good thing as I've yet to see a rusty sheep......
It is made from the wax out of the wool. Funny you say that as ive not seen a rusty sheep either 🤣🤣
And the wool stayes on when you jet wash them 😂
Looks like you have barely used it since applying Lanoguard.
I do use it just keep it clean. Not OCD just give it a good blast underneith 🤣
@@lifes.projects That explains a lot.
ADVERT ALERT
Not really I paid for it.
Its my opinion on something ive done to help preserve my car after hours of work 🤷♂️
