  • Indiana And Ohio Railway switching rough industrial trackage. Chasing and pacing the I&O ex Pennsylvania Railroad branch in Blue Ash, Ohio. RailPower Genset RP20BD Central Railroad Of Indiana locomotive running long hood forward. First we see them picking up a tank car on the HB Fuller spur. Then I chased them through Blue Ash, Deer Park and into Silverton Ohio. The final shot is at the Silverton railroad station/museum. This branch operates one local train a day M-F, sometimes on Saturday and rarely on Sunday. RailPower Technologies Corp is a subsidiary of RJ Corman Railroad Group that builds environmentally friendly switching locomotives. Use 161.430 to listen in while railfanning this branch. Nice catch. I was out railfanning and thought it might be you. By the time I turned around, you were gone.
    The crew I spoke with didn’t care for the genset locomotive. They said they sound like blenders.

    Years ago, probably about 1982 or so I used to bowl at Ringo Lanes on Monday nights. Conrail used to switch the Blue Ash Industrial Park every single week. I would watch from the doorway of the bowling alley. It`s a damn shame that Conrail pulled the tracks from Brecon to Mason because they could sure use them now to go to Mason a lot easier than coming through Middletown from the other end. Woo... Number 100 like!

    Jaw Tooth, that loco sounds nice and quiet. I imagine the crew loves the low noise. The mainline and intermodal beasts probably turn their crews deaf.

    • @JawTooth
      @JawTooth  4 роки тому

      The class one railroads got rid of the Genset locos because they broke down too much and were not very powerful. They are quiet though and I&O sometimes uses two of them together.

    Great video and filmography of the IORY! I love seeing regionals at work. How often does IORY run trains on this line? I was thinking about shooting up to Blue Ash sometime to film some myself. Thank you in advance.

    Looks like Indiana & Ohio RR has Norwood Oakley and the east side of Cinci. tied up. I use to have a drop and hook off Section Rd. I&O had a local train run thru there. that line Goes thru Reading and winds up in Sharonville on the NS.

    I have a comment and a rail fan question! I was a sales rep for ABF Freight System in Cincinnati 76-79. Blue Ash was part of my area. I know that some of the Industrial Park back then was owned by the rock group “KISS.” Now my question. My mother lives next to the CSX tracks in Vincennes Indiana. Last Thursday I was visiting her house, saw a train headed northbound. This a very busy sub, known as ALICE station. I put on train videos on UA-cam too. Anyway, my question. Instead of CSX engines pulling this train there were three Union Pacific engines pulling. My question is this. Why are they there, is it CSX crewing or Union Pacific crewing, explain? Also Hunter Harrison died yesterday. CSX stock should take a hit Monday. Anyone?

    Hi...Dear friends, Mr. Brian. Christmas approaching UA-cam video is full of colorful and fun video versions. It dreams of children in the pediatric ward and elderly patients give dreams of gifts to grandchildren and children left at home. Women showed great interest in daily life events, wonderful entertainment, sports and world cooking recipes, and hospitalized patients reconfirmed the important elements of food after discharge from the hospital. Video owner We appreciate everyone's support and are pleased if our activities are helping patients. I pray for a good Sunday to visit your home.

    Ok Jaw tooth; when are you coming to Cambridge, Ohio to show some trains?? When you go so far east from Cambridge; the railroad stops at; after you pass the Byesville Rd; (County Rd. 35 area); is where the Rail Road Ends at. You would have to come & tour the Guernsey County area; to know where Rail Road is still busy at.

      Jaw Tooth I've seen it happen a few years ago, but not since I've wanted to video it. Seems the biggest power they would use nowadays is an SD40 since they don't usually maintain that section as much as the rest of their rails. The blue ash lines rails are terrible, I remember walking down those tracks last year seeing sections of 4 foot tracks with no ties and different size gauge rails
