If you ever want a career change Josh, you could definitely make it as a workspace interior designer, seriously! Thanks for sharing this great aet up with us. I can't afford most of it but I do have a black cutting mat because of you! 😂
Thanks so much for the kind words, glad you like the setup! I’m so lucky to have such a nice space to work in I definitely try not to take it for granted.
Great job on sticking with the LG C2 versus the current OLED monitors. The subpixel layout is better, the brightness is way better. I bought and returned the Alienware AW3225QF and LG 32GS95UE because their brightness is piss poor, especially during the day.
I always enjoy your style and rationale. Well done, as usual! Count me as another looking forward to hearing more about your X1C. SWMBO says no more toys (tools...) this year. I've recently added a Shaper Origin to my collection and have been enjoying creating (SWMBO calls it playing!🤣😂 ) with it.
I’ve mainly covered the desk setup in previous years but I usually make one every fall for the past 3-4 years. Subtle changes over time but always really fun.
Well then. I have the exact layout with a lounge chair in the corner next to my desk and just added the exact same chair to my cart last week, but then got worried the ottoman was going to be really annoying standing in the middle. But this looks great and I'm going to get it.
@@joshfenn I ended up rearranging the office to make proper space for the Ottoman. The chair arrived Saturday and looks absolutely stunning and very well made. Still getting used to the lack of neck/head support though. Quite different from other lounge chairs.
I’ve got the ergotron LX. Had it from my previous 32” monitor and it just barely works. Technically over the size limit but just under the weight limit - the bigger HX would probably be ideal but since this one worked I didn’t bother replacing it
Do you know if Bambu has an unclogging guide? I got the P1S and it got clogged when I used some PETG. I’ve tried twice (over a couple of hours each time) and so far no luck. Maybe I’m just too worried about burning my fingers and that if I disassemble too much into introduce error tolerance when I reassemble. But I really want to get back into printing - it was so fun and now I’m just feeling a bit burnt out on trying to fix it and disappointed. I thought I waited to buy a 3D printer until we hit the “just works” phase but not quite I guess
I’ve never had any clogs so I haven’t had to deal with it personally, but I’m pretty confident they’d have something on their site to walk through or explain. Ton of great info for any subject I’ve looked up, customer service was pretty quick to get back to me too. The bambulab subreddit would be a good place to check as well, best of luck with the fix and hope you can get back to printing soon!
I’m a little annoyed as I kind of thought of getting into 3D printing at a very basic hobbyist level but gave away the idea. Now I’m inspired to have a bit of a rethink! I gotta stop picking up hobby’s from UA-cam 😂
There’s room for everyone, no need to rethink! Been having a blast with it. Totally understand what you mean though, I’ve picked up way too many hobbies over the years on UA-cam
That usually more my preference too but kind of impossible with such a large monitor. I kind of treat it like multiple screens when working though so it works out
Thanks! I did cover my audio setup towards the end of the video but have been using the MKH50 for a little while now. Annoyingly expensive but I love the sound from it and it’ll last a lifetime.

Great to know! Still been on the fence with it and collecting as much data as I can
Would enjoy seeing a 3D printer video when you’re ready! Great video, Josh!
Working on some really fun ideas now, can’t wait to share!

Thanks so much for the support on this one! Can’t wait to dig into the X1C more, it’s gonna be a lot of fun. Totally get you on the playing too, haha
Great setup man
Thanks so much!
I think I saw a tactile turn pen in that catch tray! Big fan, and that budget has taken my desk budget haha solid setup!
Good eye! Just got it a little while ago and it was an instant favorite, love the grip from the grooves.
Love it❤❤💪
Thanks for the support!
First time I’ve seen you do a set up tour. So now I gotta go back in your catalog and find the other videos.

damn josh the chair idea is very dope ill try to do something like that
For sure! They have a great UA-cam channel too with details about the remanufacturing and materials and everything
Interesting video!
Appreciate the support!

The ottoman definitely takes up a fair amount of space, but it’s well worth it. Enjoy the new setup when it arrives!

I’m also using the lg c2 with my desk set up and I’m trying to find a good monitor arm at the moment. What mount are you using in your setup?

Очень хорошая сборка😉
Thank you!
Using a TV as a monitor - how do you find that especially when connected to your mac
It’s worked really well for me! The OLED has been great for video editing and games/movies, the 42” size has been awesome too.

I prefer to have the top of the monitor lower, closer to my eyeline, but I do more spreadsheets than FPSs.
That usually more my preference too but kind of impossible with such a large monitor. I kind of treat it like multiple screens when working though so it works out
Josh, what mic do you use? It sounds so good.
Thanks! I did cover my audio setup towards the end of the video but have been using the MKH50 for a little while now. Annoyingly expensive but I love the sound from it and it’ll last a lifetime.
@@joshfenn Thanks, Josh. I commented before finishing the video. 🤣
Haha no worries, happy to hear that the mic sounds as good as I had hoped.
What are the dimensions of your room?
I can’t remember exactly, but I think it’s around 11’ x 14’
Your deskspace would be bigger if you mount that pc case underneath. That's what I do.
I thought about it but enjoy having it on display for now. Might move it down the road if I need space though
why does bro look like shane from watcher
Haha I can see it
your curtains are hung wrong fyi
How so? Not being snarky, genuinely curious so I can fix them
look the video is nice and all but your audio is wobbling all over the place, the basses really ruin the audio, please fix that on next video
I’ve gotten way more compliments than complaints these days about the audio, but I’ll definitely see what I can do
