Man I don’t understand the whole grove made stuff. It looks good but 220$ for a pen/holder, $440 for a desk shelf, $100 for a NOTEPAD. I can’t be the only one who thinks this prices are insane
I agree. Paying for the aesthetic! Sure it is high quality, but not necessary when there’s cheap comparable options. But shiii, if someone’s got it and wants to spend it? So be it haha to each their own. I buy tactile turn pens @ 100/pop (only own 4) for a number of reasons/collecting.. but dang a pilot pen does the exactttt same lol
One year later and you’re doing great! I respect your important word on setup segment. As someone else who also works from home (I’m a cybersecurity analyst) and also enjoys tech related pastimes (gaming etc.) it is important to note that these spaces are used for more than just luxury purposes. These spaces are where we spend most of our time day to day, where we can be found the most, whether we are working or enjoying a video game. The cost is exceedingly high to the average person to have a lot of these spaces, but for their purpose, to all the people who work from home, it is most certainly justifiable.
@@TwoByteThomashey man for someone wanting to start filming videos like this tech/gaming what advice do you have? It seems to make a simple unboxing much more intensive by having to stop move the camera around etc
@@AFGixxeR88It's definitely a lot of work. As simple as it may sound, my best advice is to just get started. Shoot more footage than you think you'll need, have patience, and try and make it look cohesive in post. But also don't get bogged down trying to make it perfect - as you create more videos, you'll learn more, and you can adjust your approach over time. Hope this helps dude!
thanks for the disclaimer at the beginning of the video sometimes I see some set up and I'm like : i want this but what you said help me to remember that i don't necessarily need to invest money in my set up
$440 for a desk shelf and $50 for speakers. People can do what they want and I’m certainly not going to throw shade on old mate for doing things his way, but I’d personally be doing that the other way around.
Really appreciate the general advice about thinking before spending and the purpose of a setup was pleasant to hear in the sea of desk setup videos. Especially when all these products that are advertised are usually on the pricier end. Keep it up!
🔥🔥 Terrific video, thoughtful and transparent. Appreciate the higher quality video production, your disclaimers, and the mix of price points and the sharing of the rationale of your choices
The Creative Pebbles are great speakers. Personally, I plug the 3.5mm aux port into my Alienware QD-OLED monitor, and then use the HDMI audio for when I want to use the speakers. My other stuff like the Steam Deck and my gaming laptop just works with that. With Bluetooth, I just have that connected to my phone.
Your quality of the videos and your content are top tier! I can’t believe you don’t have a ton more subs! Congrats on your year and blessings for much more! Sub for sure!💪🏾🙏🏾
I invested a lot! Odyssey G9 €1299. Secret lab Magnus Pro XL incl accessoires €1600, new PC €900, wallpanel smoked eik €600. And other stuff light charger etc €500
I think there is a prolblem with the creative peble speakers, looks like the right one is on the left and the left one on the right Your setup still looking good !
This was the sign I needed, man! HAHAH Guess I'd really wait a bit longer! Really really awesome setup! I love how intentional each piece is. Really inspiring!🔥🔥🔥
To switch between monitors you can use another version of UGREEN KVM switch which supports 4 USB devices and HDMI or DP. Its more expensive but worth it.
Very nice. Its refreshing to see how different everyone's setup is. There is a mat at around 59 seconds. I looked at previous videos but dont see it listed. Mind sharing what that one is?
I have a 34" deep desk with a 32" monitor. Its 42" wide and is an old heavy typewriter desk. I love it but it's getting cramped. I'll have to build something 60" wide x40" deep to be happy.
Can you comment on the size of the power brick for the TS4? This has become a big factor for me, and I just don't get why so many small devices need these giant, hard to accommodate bricks. For example, I had a 5K LG 27" display that was made primarily for the Mac. It has a giant brick. I replaced it with a same-size Apple Studio Display, and it gets away with a tidy, stylish, two-prong power cord.
I suppose it really comes down to power consumption. A quick look at the Apple Display yields that it has a max power consumption of 35W vs. a typical LG 5K display at ~70W-95W. As far as the TS4, keep in mind that it's built to provide 98W of sustained power to the connected laptop while taking into consideration the 18 ports, so the 230W power supply is likely required. Cable management wise, it's a little annoying to hide, but I get by using the cable management solution on the desk.
first of all, congrats, but that amazon basics arm is straight up copy of the ergotron LX, can you comment on it, may a review comparing the two, I'd love to save the money on future installs
Thanks! And yes - I forgot to mention that in this video, but I actually did mention specifically in my first desk setup video, in that the Amazon arm is effectively a rebranded Ergotron arm, so the price to value on it is great.
why we need so many content creator for this very same topic on youtube? desk setup with macbook and other stuffs. They are look 90% the same. And maybe 5% of the time they talk about how they use the tools to help thier work, and their work is making video, which basically not much value

Been sitting in the same aeron chair since 2009. Still as comfortable and serviceable as the day I bought it. Totally worth every penny cent.
