I'm tired of coloring, bleaching, toner and all the rest. I'm going through the transition the natural way and will get a haircut at the six month mark. I'm 53 and have been coloring since my early 20's. I'm done with it all and just looking forward to the natural process of turning gray. For all the ladies out there going through the process I wish you luck and much happiness with your new silver look!!
Thanks! I am 37 and going through the process. A DIY short bob and I am ready to go. Good luck to you too
Good luck to you xo
Same exact here! Coloring forever and am now 52 and 4 months into transition! I like it so far
It is so nice to see how God paintbrushes your hair. I think mine is beautiful after I transitioned and I had a great colorist. My hair was always professionally colored and it looked great but at some point the coloring starts aging you. The little lines on your face don’t match up with the color of someone in their 30s. I will never go back and even my stylist agrees that it was the best move ever.
Sherry Searcy yes I totally agree with you! At some point it just looks unnatural!
I honestly love and respect every single woman who takes this road!! And they ALL look beautiful and more sincere.
I went from long dark to pixie, I've been cutting it for the past 2 months, getting rid of the fake color, and I finally have my natural color!! To my surprise it is "salt and pepper". Love it. Now, I am letting it grow. Even though I look so different because of the drastic road I chose (that's just me), I don't feel like a different person but more true to myself, authentic. I stopped interfering with my natural aging process (I am 45) and it is definitely a freeing process of authenticity and acceptance. Also a detox of decades of color products. Loving every minute of it!
I had the last of my colour cut out a few weeks ago so now almost sure silver, and naturally quite curly. This morning a complete stranger stopped me in the supermarket to tell me how amazing my hair looks!!
Just shows you it's worth it.
3 years ago I let my roots grow out and then shaved it to 8mm and I've never looked back. It's now down to my bra strap and I have beautiful white streaks throughout my hair. I feel so free not coloring my hair anymore.
Thats awesome! I feel like doing that also!!!!
@@Intuitiveguide It was so freeing and awesome that I didn't have to worry about coloring my hair anymore.
Can u plz tel me that when we stop dying our hair.is there any other product we use??can u explain.i mean im confused.i also want to stop coloring my hair.they all are golden brown with 50 percent of grey roots.im 35.
That would be awesome, I am tired of the every 3 to 4 week thing.
Yes yes yes. It’s amazing and liberating 😁
Hi, thank you for sharing your story. I am 75 and when I turned 70, that was my time to stop with coloring. As I did not have the patience to go through the growing out stage, I had my hairdresser bleach my hair as light as possible. At that time I had about an inch of gray showing and she took the bleach just up to that mark. Then I took a product called Manic Panic, Blue Steel, which is a toner and brushed it all, over. Then left on for 45 minutes. Then washed it out with cold water and behold.....my whole head was a silver gray with my own natural gray. As my hair grew out everything just blended together! Isn’t is funny that when we make a decision to change something, a job, a location etc....the first sentence that runs through our mind is “why didn’t I do this sooner!” The best of everything as you go forward on your journey!
OMG I'm so happy you mentioned authenticity!!! I've also stopped coloring it for the same reason. I feel it's so fake... plus, the amount of plastic and harsh chemicals one uses... thank you for sharing your experience
I transitioned 6 years ago, at age 44. Best decision ever!
Awesome! Yes, I'm loving it!
Amazing..
I am taking the jump from blonde to white next week 🙈
Kristine Fraser yay!!!!
I started in march of 2020 since I thought with the coronavirus we won't be getting out anyway
So now I am grey
Your hair looks GORGEOUS!!! I'm incredibly hopeful, thank you for all the great tips & advice. So happy I found your channel. 🙌
Thank you Colleen!!!!
You took a great risk with the bleach. Olaplex sure worked. You look great. Enjoy.
Angela Schapiro thanks Angela xo
I love it half way through, after 2 bleaches and color! You did a great job! The color is more suited for your skin coloring. You are very brave and it is gorgeous!
Covid causing salons to close really helped me to finally let my natural hair come in and now 3 mos in am too am excited to see what it looks like. I already feel much more free and the feeling I have of not having to color every two weeks is great. I am toying with the idea of lighting my dyed hair a couple of shade then cutting it to my shoulders to lessen the demarcation line but who knows. Keep going, I am sure it will look great.
Celita G W yes, so Freeing not having to worry about coloring. It’s still a bit of an upkeep right now but looking forward to it all being grown out. Best of luck!!!
I am at same point as you and for same reason! Covid inspired me to go gray. Right now i feel like cutting it but feel i need a professional for that. For now a bun is my friend
You’re gonna LOVE the color and the freedom! I’m 16 months in. The first 6 months were difficult (second guessing, catching the new color in various reflections) but by month 9 I loved the color and was SO ready to cut off the dye. I cut a little too short, and now I’m growing it out. I still have about 1 1/2 inches of dye left to cut off. I’ve set my expectations for 2 years to have the length I want AND all the dye cut off. 😄
Rene Pena I know Rene! I can’t wait for it to be my natural hair!!!!❤️💕
Hey 👋🤝
That part about feeling impatient to see what it will look like. That's how I feel as well. The uncomfortable part is the in between.
Absolutely stunning ❤️. I love how you gave all directions. I also have dark curly auburn hair so I am going your way. The transformation is just gorgeous! Even if you have different colors in there, who cares! 👍
Stunning! Thanks for being part of the Silver Revolution!!
Everything you said in your video about colouring your hair at this stage in your life is exactly how I’m feeling. Thank you for your inspiration!!!! It looks awesome and I’m on the same journey. Mine is curly so I’m going to let it grow out.
xoxo Good luck with yours!!!!!
You’re so brave. It’s looks great. I would leave it alone other than using the purple shampoo. It looks healthy
and very unique. Just let it be now and don’t look for trouble.
Rita Gaston thanks Rita!❤️💕❤️💕
Rita Gaston , love the purple shampoo ! Makes it glitter !
Girl your hair is GORGEOUS! U are really patient. The end color is fabulous.
It looks amazing on you! I'm thinking of doing just this. Thanks for the tips & encouragement ☺️
You look amazing and authentic. What an inspiration you are !
Oh thank you so much!!!! xoxo
Ohhh love it! Now I'm inspired to go gray. I just turned 67 and have been using dyes for way too long.
Thank you!!!
I love it! I've been waiting for my gray to come in; it's taking forever. I get a few grays and then the roots turn brown again, and it's been going back and forth for 15 years. I discovered that my grays are curly, like corkscrew curly, and I was so excited. Now I have a few of those around my face, which I love, but I feel so impatient.
Thank you! I know that’s why I had to do it quickly!!! Xo
I'm 2 minutes into this video and all I can think is that I am her!! Tired of coloring my hair every 4 weeks (I'm 54). I need a change! I've been doing the curly girl method too and I'm getting bored with it. I think I'll mix it up a bit next time I visit my stylist. This year's been crappy and I want to do something fun and different just for me! Thank you for this video! You've given me the boost I needed to just go for it and accept and embrace the grace change. Age is just a number anyway!
Don't give up. I'm where you are now. I think I'm going to love it. Good luck girl.
Elizabeth Gardea oh nice! Good luck also!!!❤️
I love how your hair is coming in!
This video helped me so much with my indecision and insecurity about my hair. I'm about to color mine silver to stop the constant battle against the gray. I'm 40 years old and started getting gray at 35. This is something I'm excited about as I feel exasperated with the current look and lack of enthusiasm I have with it now. However, I still am a bit anxious and also hoping I can do this successfully. Going to a salon is a horrifying experience for me and if I mess it up I'll probably just be stuck with it until I decide something else. Yes what a pain in the a** I am lol. Anyway I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience. Wish me luck! ❤️🤞
Your transition to authenticity is lovely. I love it. I've been want to do it myself, but no one wants 2 mess with my hair so ive been chopping it off little by little during this pandemic
Thank you so much!!❤️💕
Thank you so much for this video showing the way to go back to natural (grey) hair colour and stop colouring every 3 weeks
Hi Alissa, I attended one of your raw food teacher certs in Maine about 15 years ago. Fun to see you pop up on youtube and especially because at 55 I'm in the same boat with the coloring. Getting really tired of every 3 weeks doing roots, am seriously thinking of going all the way like you did. Thanks for the inspiration!
You look amazing with grey hair! So much brighter in your eyes! Your natural silver hair is gonna be a real head turner:). Go you!
Thank you so much!!!❤️💕
Same here. 52 and not feeling authentic with coloring my hair. You said it so well. I had to jump to the end to peek: you look FABULOUS.
Thank you!!!!❤️🙏💕
The pandemic has really been a paradigm shift for me. I've wanted to go silver for a while and watched Deb Arndt's UA-cam channel a year ago and her method is to color only your part and when the gray underneath is long enough, change your part. March 9 was the last time my hair was colored at the salon and I've only been dying my part and some of the crown. Underneath the silver is coming in strong. I'm not skillful enough to do what you did. I really like the way your hair looks and it will blend nicely. Good luck and thanks.
Victoria Reggio oh yes I’ve heard of doing that. Interesting I would love to see that I’ve never really seen someone do that. I’m so happy I decided to do this you’re gonna love your hair!!
OH WOW! your hair is GORGEOUS!! This is my hair goal.
Thank you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve let my hair go natural quite a few years ago, I absolutely love my grey hair! I will never dye it again, it’s empowering! Your hair turned out beautiful, you rock the grey and if I were you.....I’d let it be it’s true color, it suits you!
Thank you! Yep just letting it grow, cant wait for it to be all my natural color!
So authentic and beautiful! Wow. Love you gray!! Thanks for sharing and for your honesty and integrity. XO
Thank you❤️💕🙏
You look beautiful, I am 65 and thinking of doing it myself. Thank you for sharing
Thank you! My hair is where yours was. I am thinking of going natural also. This has helped. Your hair looks great.
Thank you! You're welcome! so glad it helped!
Hey marykey
It looks great!! U look better with the grey hair. At least it’s going to be easier to blend with what u achieved here. This helped me a lot with figuring out how I can transition to my natural grays.
I'm BLOWN AWAY by the SUPERB job you did. Girl you went from a 5 to a 10 loks wise with the great hair job. Its magnificient on you. I watxhed about 20 videos of people transitioning to grey hair and looked at thousands of grey hair images so I was expecting VERY little from your video but I am in AWE😮😂❤ BEST HAIR TEANSITION I've ever seen. You look absolutely beautiful 😍 ❤ Amazing job.
I’m so with you! Coloring my hair just doesn’t feel like me anymore. Thank you 🙏
Tracy McKelvey yep when it’s time you just know!❤️🙏
Hey 👋🤝
Oh thank you for your very clear and honest account. I'm a couple of months in. I also feel compelled to let my grey hair shine. It feels cleaner in some way. Just gotta find my path to my natural colour. I'm excited and can't wait.
You can do it!
If the Got2b is a semi or demi, it lays on the surface of the cuticle and doesn't enter deeply in. You can reapply it if you need to. I think taking time and working on the porosity of the hair before reapplying will help the hair receive color in a more uniform way. I agree..hanging with it to see what transpires is wise. Also, so glad you mentioned purple...the bluish ones can give green undertones when trying to cancel yellow. You helped folks miss an unwanted surprise. Different color conditioners have a different load of color in them..experimenting can turn up a favorite....if you cap with a plastic cap to trap body heat you can get a little extra conditioning and even a little more out of the color too. The Olaplex is a great addition and there are other treatments in the line you can use too. Also, coconut oil ( I buy at Grocery Outlet in the natural foods aisle)and a cap would smell fab and be a nice treat for scalp and hair. And skin too 😃
I don’t have gray hair yet but I kinda want to dye my hair gray just for the hell of it!:) I love this and I LOVE your authenticity!
Thank you!!!!❤️💕❤️💕
Hey detox
I love it. Just leave it like this and let it grow naturally. Trim the ends every know and then.
Thank you!❤️
Hey Teresa
I'm so glad I came across this video. You have the same curly hair as me. I'm 62 now and I hate coloring. My curls are so sad! I miss them. You've inspired me.. thank you❤
I love Your hair, not just the color but those curls , gorgeous hair. You got it now. You are the Hair Warrior!! 💜😎
Thank you!!❤️💕
So glad I found this. I have similar hair color to yours at the start of your transition. Thanks for sharing!
wow. thank you. feeling very much the same - when you said, for some reason, although you love your wild hair, it doesn't feel authentic anymore- you made me feel connected . thanks for sharing.
Hey Sandra
Love your hair. I’m trying to just let mine grow out but you’ve given me hope!
You go girl, you did great!!! My mom also chopped her hair and she's embracing the silver hair. Perfect timing during the quarantine 😅
Thanks!❤️💕
OMGOSH!!!! Half into your video, and. LOVE the color transition!!! Will continue to watch❤️
Thank you!!!❤️
Congrats on going natural! It is definitely a process.. I grew my hair hair at 37. And I love it! That was 6 years ago.
Thank you! Yes sure is!!
Hey 🥰
It’s good to finally feel the natural texture of your hair. I grew mine out about ten years ago, never looked back. I dyed it for about thirty odd years.
Bombshell. What an inspiring journey. Thank you Gorgeous!
Everyone says dont do box dye, but sometimes maybe some of us just gotta or want to. I think u made the best choice to not re-bleach and it looks great for at home!
I completely agree with what you are saying and I feel like it is a new journey in my life and I am happy not to be putting chemicals in my hair anymore. I am going to go to my hairdresser on Friday to see if she can help me transition better!
Tracey Szczepanik so freeing!!! Good luck at your hairdresser!!! ❤️
wow your hair is beautiful i've spent a lot of money on getting my hair lighter i was affraid to use bleach myself i'm happy with the lady that colored my hair but i just had to tell you you did good
Thank you so much Patricia!!!❤️💕🙏
I absolutely love it!! Looks fantastic on you!
Thank you!!!!!
Looks fantastic! I went 4 months, but caved and colored again. So sorry I did. Thanks for showing your process.
You're beautiful no matter what! I was thinking of using henna to go red; but your video is making me re-think that. (I've never colored and have started seeing lots of gray). I've been going through the same thing about questioning authenticity vs. not, so I had to laugh when you said the word AUTHENTIC. Same exact thing I've been thinking for months now. All of God's blessings on you. Sending you big hugs and warm wishes! ~Kim Richerson
Kim Richerson Thank you Kim!!! Yes that word is powerful right?! It already feels so freeing and so much more me! Go for it!!! Best of luck on your gray journey!!❤️💕
WOW! Great job and curls!
I love it! Your curls and the color are gorgeous!
We have/had similar hair and what you are saying really resonates! People knew me for my hair but it didn't feel authentic to me anymore! I just wanted to be me, whatever that me is. I have been growing mine out since last summer and first I bleached it, so now it's half bleached blonde-ish and half grey. And I chopped a bunch off. Not a great look, but a work in progress. I like your method better! :-) Thanks for the video!
Oh nice Claire! Yes, I think its even more difficult when you get compliments on your hair and people associate you with it! I feel so much more myself though! Happy your on this journey, let me know how it turns out for you! xoxo
It looks so good gray! Thanks for this video ❤
Oh my god... this is so gorgeous!!!!!!🌬❄️
Your hair looks great!
Oh my gosh it’s going to be SO pretty!! You’ll see. And you’ll get so many compliments:)
Thank you!!!!!
You look gorgeous and younger with the silver locks; you are rockin' it! Olaplex is a life saver when using bleach. Hair actually feels like its had a deep conditioning treatment - no breakage or "straw hair". Keep being authentic because it suits you and it's so freeing.
Thank you!!!!!! I've used Olaplex twice now, its a miracle! thank you so much!!!
❤️
I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! I’m ready too!!
Thank you!!❤️💕❤️
Your hair looks great and makes your skin look glowing and pretty much more flattering :)
Thank you!!❤️💕
Same here. When we get a certain age in life, we do change, and it's natural. You are attractive, and have beautiful hair and a sweet spirit... Blessings !!!
Thank you so much 🤗
This turned out amazing on you! Looks great! Thanks for sharing this it gives me courage when the tome comes to transition
Thank you!!!!!
Hey 👋
You're gonna ROCK IT! I'm a year and a half in...really, try to stick with it!
Oh I'm in! I do love it!!! Glad your on your way as well!!!
It took me 2 years to get rid of my color. I got SO many compliments on it when I was transitioning. I love the freedom I have now with my OWN, God-given color. It was a journey, for sure. I have Curly hair, too.
Dawn R Yep it’s a process, I can’t wait to have my own natural color grown out!!!❤️💕
The last time I dyed my hair I think it was round the 15th of February! I have about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of growth and and it’s a nice salt and pepper color which I really like and I’ve decide to just leave it! Going to do this Gray hair thing! For now naturally but when I can I’ll check with my stylist to get her input, but definitely not going to dye it anymore! And it doesn’t look that bad since I was dyeing my hair blonde for the last 4 years so that helps! Good luck to Alissa and everyone going on the Gray Journey!
Wilma Pagan yay! Go for it!!! xoxo
Girl you look fantastic! Thanks for inspiring other women around the world :-)
Thank you!!❤️💕❤️
This was the video Ive been looking for! I am at the same point, as you, at the beginning of the video. I am not fooling myself, nor anyone else, anymore. Time to get authentic. Thank you!
YES!!! you're welcome!
Alissa I think you look amazing as a silver vixen!! It actually makes you look YOUNGER! So pretty.
Thank you!!!! xoxo
Congrats! I have been "natural" (grey) for 8 years, and the freedom is pretty awesome! I have tried every blue/purple shampoo and condition their is.... I finally found Aveda Blue Malvada shampoo once a week (mixed with a little bit of my regular shampoo as this shampoo is a little too dry for my dry hair) and my regular conditioner. It takes out the brassy right away to ALL hair colors and makes my hair look so bright and shiny. Good luck on your transition, you will love it....
Lupus Reimagined oh
Awesome! Thanks for the tip!!!
Good for you! I had the same feeling of not being authentic and went gray a year and a half ago. Wish I had done it sooner.
I am so glad you didn't do a 3rd round of bleach! Love your voluminous curls!
I am 39 and about to start the transition...I started noticing grays when I was 19. I'm about a month in, but this is a normal stage for me. I heard about Sarah Harris from British Vogue and was really motivated by her pictures and then started delving into the gray hair community.
I think I may do something similar to you. I want long hair and am not looking forward to the demarcation line!
You have a stunning curl pattern 👍👍 the grey looks amazing on you.
Thank you!!!❤️
Hey 👋
Looks fabulous! I’m on my journey, but have decided not to bleach or dye the ends. I have straight fine hair and afraid of the impact of the bleach on my hair. Haven’t dyed since February and almost over the skunk phase and into the grombre stage. I think the key to this transition is to embrace it and work with your hair type and not to overwork it into something it can never be. Well done and thank you for encouraging us to embrace the change.
Thank you!!! Yes the bleach does really cause damage. I was just too impatient!❤️💕
You look so much younger with your hair after the couple of days. Looks beautiful. I did the same thing, in letting my gray grow out. It was weaved blond and I cut it real shout. And in less than 8 months it was all natural. I know you don’t want to cut your hair. It just worked best for me. But your hair is so pretty. And I love the curls.
Thank you so much!!!! Yes can’t wait for it to all be my natural soon!❤️
Your end result looks fabulous. Your hair texture is so beautiful! I’m 43 and have salt and pepper. I’ve been coloring my hair off and on for 30 years but didn’t see much grey til my early 40s. I hope more women off all ages embrace their natural hair color. Truth be told my own grey hair doesn’t bother me I just hate when other people point it out. I haven’t colored my hair in 2 months and playing around with the idea of doing a silver money piece. I think we all have the same fear that grey hair will age us but I think either way the right hairstyle, clothing and makeup I can rock it.
Aww Alissa I love your transition wow, I agree with everything you said. I'm 51 and after many years of blonde highlights & Toners I made up my mind in 6mths ago to lets go grey. I did a DIY Cider Vinegar & Water (50/50) left on for 40mins and it did strip any toner and brassiness out of my hair so my hair looks like a bob version of yours at the end of this video. I love your hair and it makes you look much younger than the red hair. Just found you today, It's 2.30am in England but finding your video has cheered me up. New Subscriber for sure. Julie xx
Hi Julie! Thank you so much! So glad it cheered you up and good luck with your hair journey!!!! xo
Your hair looks amazing ❤️ the colour thanks for sharing X
❤️🙏😘
It’s just like a blonde whose going gray. I think you did a great job!!👍
Hey 👋
I can so relate to having your wild wavy hair being a big part of your identity. I too have had big hair my whole life (was always told it was curly, but now realize it’s wavy with spirals and ringlets) and I’ve dyed it a dark red auburn for probably the last 10 years. At 53 years of age, I’ve decided it’s time to show off the authentic (grey) wavy mane that’s hiding under the dye. Wish me luck lol
Good luck!!!
Covid pushed me to start the process. Four months in.
Andrea Malerba nice! Keep
Going!!!❤️💕
Alissa Cohen I will!!!
Same with me. My daughter hates it.
Same here! I haven't colored my hair since March 2020. I'll continue to grow it out but I had to do something about the dull white color so I got "Overtone Vibrant Silver" to tone the white to a silver. I LOVE IT! It's not permanent but it shimmers in the light. :-)
All women it seems look better in their natural gray! 🎉 startingmy journey now at 56!❤. Love your channel
Absolutely gorgeous!
Your hair colour looks great, good job, by the way it actually suits you !!😊
Thank you!!!
Dang 😻 love it! I wanna try but don’t want to burn up my hair nor do I want any upkeep lol yours is gorgeous.
Hey 👋
You have a beautiful head of hair! What you said about feeling authentic really resonated with me. After dying my hair MONTHLY for 10 years (ugh) it suddenly occurred to me that it felt fake... I felt fake. I’d always lived my life open, honest, fine with who & what I was so this sudden realization that I was HIDING something really changed how I thought and I just couldn’t continue dying my hair. I jumped in with both feet, cold turkey, and just let it grow on its own as I watched... and watched... and watched. My hair is to my shoulders. I’ve trimmed as I’ve gone and maybe have half an inch of dye left. I’m not in a hurry to cut it off. I actually really thought the last 4 inches of dark tips was a really pretty look. A lot of white at the temples and top and dark in the back. Fascinating how unique and individual each persons head of hair is! really enjoyed the process. Felt it gave me a natural face lift with the white extending my face upward instead of the harsh dark hair line pushing down on my brow. I’ve made sure to wear red lipstick and some color around my face weather it’s a red hair accessory or jewel tone blouse. I get compliments all the time from all ages, men and women. My hair is actually SOFT now! You are going to look stunning when your gray grows in with your beautiful face and gorgeous hair! Keep us updated. I’d love to watch your progress
Thank you so much! Yes It really is liberating! and I have been changing my makeup and clothing as well and finding the right colors... I will keep you updated!!!!❤️
Alissa Cohen the Curly Girl Method is what started me on ditching the dye. My hair started to get curly again and I wondered “how curly could it be without hair dye ruining it?” Like I said earlier, it’s SOFT now and curly. Not wiry or frizzy at all. Must say, though, it is really hard to find a sulfate free blue shampoo! Also, I tried Pastel Silver Overtone and it seemed fine. Watched Erica Johnston on youtube. I had a bit of dinginess so thought it would brighten it and it did. I want something to make the white super white and it doesn’t do that. Very conditioning though. It’s supposed to be sulfate free
nice! you have good skin tone, so that really helps. you're very brave to have tackled it ypurself. 10 out of 10!!!
Thank you so much!!
Looks awesome! It’s definitely a game if trial and error...I transitioned to my natural darker root from very blonde. I use Redken Shades EQ. I have played around with the silvers in blue and purple tones, Iron, etc. very non-damaging for your hair. I’ve heard good things about Olaplex too.
looks GORGEOUS!!!!!
Hair looks fantabulous!!!
Your hair looks gorgeous! I’m so jealous 😍
Thank you so much!!❤️💕🙏
I'm ten years into my natural hair journey, both embracing my type 2/3 (which is what it looks like you have too) hair and natural gray. Your hair is transitioning like mine did (white in front framing the face) and I love my hair (finally!) and get many compliments. It took ten years to get me to want to embrace my hair so back in 2010, I had to go through two stripping sessions since I was originally a dirty blonde who'd dyed it to medium reddish brown so it was orangey for a while (I didn't want to do a big chop initially). After two years, I ending up doing the big chop and my hair was so curly and got rid of all the old stripped hair. You'll find that your natural white/gray really lightens up your skin.
I hope people on the fence take advantage of embracing their whites and gray during this time. I'll never go back to dyeing.
Also, Fanola has a Vegan, No Yellow Sulfate-free formula - this is what I use and Pravana has Perfect Blonde which is also sulfate-free which I used to use. These are the only sulfate-free purple shampoos I've found.
Thank you!!! I agree I don’t think I’ll ever go back!
