Neli Lugo I got all the supplies. Thank you Sally's employee. Already stripped my hair. Still on the journey. Will update for the results. And thanks to WHOAyouguys for the upload.
yes!!!!! and after she bleached she was smart enough not to do it again even though she was not 100% sure of the results. It turned out really good. Good for you , yay!
I just followed your 3 steps exactly as you said and my hair is the most beautiful silver/grey color I've ever seen. I also came from a natural dark brown but at 57 years old, I had a lot of drab looking greys mixed in. Thank you for this video. I would have never tried this otherwise :)
OMG I've struggled with $400 Color apts every three weeks, over processed hair and the invasion of more grey hair over time. But no more thanks to you. I carefully followed your directions and my hair turned out EXACTLY like yours! So fabulous. So thank you very much.
If anyone wants a much lighter shade of grey all you do is use a few cap fuels of the wella 050. She used the whole bottle resulting in dark grey. I use 4 capsules and it is light silver grey more pastel. Great job great video!
Do you have a pic of your hair when it was the grey pastel you speak of?? I know this comment was 2 years ago but I would love to see if you have one!! I am going to dye my hair with everything she did here and I have darker hair than hers. I want a more lighter grey pastel colour. So thanks for the tip!!
@@aryntay145 that would be awesome! I did my son's and it came out an ashy brown. Now i have to start her whole process over and strip out the color. Hopefully i can get it lifted enough. I am so worried about burning his scalp or really danaging it. Any tips on how to get it on faster? I don't want to miss any spots but it's taking me 20 minutes to do half his hair. Its long. Thank you!
another sally employee here. we usually reccomend the ion color remover but this one looks like it works better! i will be reccomending this one from now on 😊 and also will be recommending this way of turning your hair silver since sooo many people want it!

I just wanted to let you know that I followed all of your directions step by step and finally got the silver hair I've been wanting years! Thank you so much for this video. I probably watched it 10 times as I was doing my hair lol
Finally, Someone uses a proper color stripper prior to bleaching. I see even professional colorist just try to bleach the color out directly. Well done!
I am SO glad I stumbled across this. I'm literally sitting outside my local Sally's right now and I thought 💭 let me scroll YT for some inspiration on how to get my daughter's hair the shade she wanted 💭 and THIS holy grail of tutorials popped up. She's is going to be SOOOOOO happy to know momma's got this! 🙌 Thank you for the first few minutes where you went through each product thoroughly. I've got my list in hand and ready to buy some product! 🙌
Thank you for this very precise tutorial!! I have NEVER done anything like this and begged my hairdresser to help me, but she would not. (after the process, I know why). I have over 50% white roots, and had brown black hair color that I no longer desired at all. Following the procedure, I started at Sally's. At this location they were not familiar with the process you suggested, but helped me locate the correct products. The only thing I did differently was use the ION Bright White Color creme to lift the pigment out of my hair, instead of smelling like ass, which would have really bothered my husband's allergies. Using the 40 developer, 1/2 the Step 1, 1/2 the step 2, two times, I lifted my color to yellow at the roots and quite a bit of orange all over the ends. After watching your tutorial several more times, I noticed the the orange in your hair had no problem with the tonic of T14 and 050, so I decided against a third go with lightening and did the toner, using 4oz of 20, one bottle T14, one bottle of 050, 1/2 of step one and 1/2 of step 2. You worked it into dry hair, but I noted in another video that someone started with damp, towel dried hair. I decided to go with damp hair. AMAZINGLY, the yellow/orange hair reacted so quickly to the cocktail recipe. I had bluing/graying happening so fast on one side, that I hurried to get to the other side to try to keep even. It didn't matter, as things to progressed, both sides evened out, and I have a deeper color of ash gray than you have. I'm really pleased as well. Now I just wonder about the roots....I will have to figure that out in about 6 weeks, but I'm considering adding the 'clear' developer to lighten the 050, or only using 1/2 the bottle. I'd like to get a color closer to my roots. Thank you again! This is a great how to video!
I sure wish we could post pics here. Just did this for my mom. She finally decided to go grey and we followed your steps and it turned out beautifully!! She was reddish-brown for years. We did do the bleaching twice, but her hair was ok because she’s never processed it other than coloring it dark. It’s just gorgeous now! Thanks so much for the tutorial!
I've tried gray hair twice and almost gave up on it until i found this video. My hair isn't even dry yet lol and its straight silver. Your a life saver❤
I'm 7 years late to this video. But I gotta say as someone that's not a professional but knows a great amount about coloring and bleaching because of personal trail and error plus working at Sally's about ten years ago. I just want to say you did an amazing job!
Tired of dyeing roots, I asked a friend to do this on my hair. Other than just coloring our own hair, neither one of us had ever done this before. It came out beautifully! For the few questions I had only one of 3 Sally employees was no help at all. I was super impressed with the other two. They were kind, pleasant and willing to take their time with me with me and my questions. With you and Sally's, I am very happy!
I'm SCARED to death to do the same thing. I'm 57 with brown hair color. It has faded and now the grays are poking through. I look ridiculous. I LOVED your tutorial. You are not only adorable but I feel like I CAN do this. Thank you.
Love this! It turned out so gorgeous! Just a little tip for anyone who wants to use this toner and booster combo, if your hair is already pale blonde with no hints of yellow skip over the 20 vol and use 10 vol developer! Or if you’re maintaining this grey color use 10 vol to keep your hair from drying out! The 20 vol actually adds lifting power to the color which will eventually result in damage of the hair if over used 💕
For 7 long years I have spent thousands at the salon trying to achieve this color. Only to leave with green or brown hair. For a whopping 56$ I have finally gotten silver. Thank you so very very much !!!! 🤍🤍🤍
So glad I found this video, I've been thinking for a while now about dying my hair grey, and I have medium/dark brown hair! Glad to have found a video with someone starting with about the same color hair!
Ashley Nicole yes! And I'll let you know ahead of time, of your color is a natural brown instead of dyed brown, you can skip the color fix step because that's only for dyed hair (:
Going to the salon to get do brown hair lifted takes more than 1 session at around $90 a pop. I’m between visits and am hoping like heck I get a silvery gray/ white result which would match my gray growth of nearly a year. I made the decision to have it lifted because it would take 2 more years to get it all grown out.
Oh WAO!! It came out so beautiful!!! Just so you know, my hubby wants me to do his hair in Silver and out of all the videos I've watched (Guy Tang's included) yours is the one I'm going with. Not only the color came out wonderful but also the things you used are more affordable and easily available for the typical member of humanity (like me and everybody else...) and quite honestly, it turned out salon quality look (maybe even better) It's very kind of you to share your knowledge after stumbling on your own mistakes (like we all do) and then kindly share the results when you finally got it right! Thank you so much!🥰🥰💖
@@WHOAyouguys Aw, Thanks! my only fear is turning his hair green when its time for retouching roots (like ive seen happened to some short hair ladies) Do you think the color fix you used could help prevent this? Could i just strip the silver dye, bleach roots and then dye silver all over again? Damm, i wish i knew what to do~😕🤷♀️🤦♀️
PS I'm a professional hair color specialist and I must admit you totally nailed this look. Normally I wouldn't encourage someone to do their own color at home under any circumstances but luckily you have the skill and the Sally's employee was knowledgeable enough. It looks beautiful!
I have dark, thick, amazing hair and decided to follow the toning steps from this video. I had my hair stylist bleach the full head prior, so I was working with a palette ready for toning. My hair came out amazing! I did not add more developer as she did here after she added in the additive and i love the way it came out too! thank you for this vid!
Your hair looks beautiful! I love it! I want so bad to do my hair but I’ve never done anything like this and I’m afraid I will ruin my hair. I am 71 yrs old and during the pandemic I decided to just let my gray hair grow out. The rest of my hair is a dyed auburn. You were fortunate to have that girl at Sally’s tell you what to get.
@@barbaramarion3540 haha i did! But i didn't record the process.. It turned out great though (: I took pictures in case I decide to do a video talking about how I did it. (:
Also a Sally employee and we recommend that color remover a lot as well as the T 18 and color additives. Looks awesome! Just a suggestion so you get an exact measurement of developer but after pouring the toner into the bowl you can use the bottle to measure the developer. Thanks for sharing
WoW! Just...WOW! You are AMAZING with this!! I know this is 6 years old, and i don't know if Sally still has all these products, but I'm going to try...I never knew results like this could be so easy...I was talking myself into being OK with spending 400+ bucks at a swanky place to get this done...now, after reading all these posts saying it really works, I'm going to do it!!! Something tells me i'm not closing this tab for days!!! Thanks
Been searching for AGES for a half decent tutorial that has ALL the info and video bits, thank god I found yours. Soon as I saw this I went straight online & bought everything, THANKYOU!!!! #lifesaver ❤️
The two step color brilliance really works. I've never tried Olaplex...but my hair seriously feels almost as soft as before I bleached. They also have the second step in a huge conditioner bottle for cheap...it's amazing.
I went from dark brown with warm tones, hair not much different from yours at the start. It took me freaking FOREVER to get the brass out of my hair! I still have some in fact. You did a great job, with this 3 step method. I think I haven't gone into public for like 3 weeks during the transition. Looking good today, and I still have all my hair LOL!
Omg I love it no one at my Sally's knew what I needed they just pointed at crap I'm like ugh I felt so dumb ! Thank u I love it so much I'm gna do it !
Definitely watched this during quarantine. Gotta say that as an asian guy with black hair who hasn’t colored his hair in over 10 years, this video was super helpful with just reorienting to the process of bleaching and toning. I now have awesome silver hair. Thank you for putting out great content!
Great job! I've been coloring my salt and pepper hair for years... I'm over it. I am scared to do it myself so I'm going to show your results to my hair dresser♡
Beautiful!!Exactly what I’m looking to do I’m going gray and it’s a silver color actually and I want to dye my brown hair gray so it all matches thank you for doing this it’s so good for us older ladies to
Hands down the BEST video I have seen! I went to Cosmo school so I know the basics, but, I dont use my skills everyday. This method worked perfect and got exactly the results I wanted!
i have to say i watched at least 20 videos.. your's was the best! step by step, you went threw the process and the results are amazing! the exact color im wanting to go for.. THANK YOU!
I literally did this today after watching her video and following her steps, I been wanting my hair this color for so long and it's so expensive to have someone else do it. Thankyou so much I'm so happy with the results and I will forever be greatful that you shared this information with us to use, thankyou! I love my hair!
Whoa! Followed your instructions and so pleased! Saved a ton of money and eventually my grays will just blend in and take over. Thank you so much for taking time to help others :)
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been coloring my hair since going gray at the age of 30. I’m now 61 and will be using your video to bleach and color.
I love the comment that "there's no brass and it no longer smells like ass." Your boyfriend is hilarious! Best video I've seen on hair dying in a long time. It was fun to watch.
I giggled at that two haha.. little rhyme going on in there haha... Im waiting on my hair stripper coming and trying to go platinum blonde! Wish me luck 😬😬
Holy Crap, this is the first and only video I have ever found that gave me the exact formula and product to do exactly what I wanted to do. Dark hair to silver. Thanks so much!!!
I love this video, I'm going grey as the years have finally caught up (56 and almost all silver/grey) I just did the color fix box and my hair turned the same color. I got scared and stopped doing anything in fear it might damage my hair. But after watching hundreds of videos and stumbling on to yours, I'M SO READY. My natural color now is silver/grey and am excited to follow the steps. Thank you. By the way your videos are least this one are funny and sweet. Keep on doing what you do 😉🤣😂😎
You did an amazing job with your hair. After you bleached it and it was blotchy I have to admit I was skeptical at first but then when I seen the final results you really did a great job!!!
Thank you for the terrific video & product recommendations. I have started to grow my natural gray out . My hair is your starter color . I have dyed my hair for years & had it professionally colored . Im feeling pretty confident to try this . Compared to growing it out & having the color difference. I will comment again & add to your community ❤ Janelle
Your results are exactly what I want. I am going for it, can hardly wait. My hair is very damaged and have a lot of gray growing in which is why I'm looking for this look. I've lost a lot of hair and have a lot of breakage all over so can afford much more damage if any. Your method looks like the best, for me, from the many tutorials I've watched. Thanks.
@danaledford290 Hello Dana, to be honest, it's been 3 yrs so don't remember. I can say this much I still want the look. I've sorta given up this past, and I'm very unhappy about my look. At 68 yrs. I feel as if I've lost what little youth I had. My son is getting married in May and would love my hair to look more than OK. If you have any ideas or suggestions, I would welcome them. Thanks.
it's so weird how you have naturally dark brown hair, because blonde suits you much better. I've been wanting to take my level 5-6 brown hair to platinum for a year now, wish I had the guts, but I'm too scared of the damage and that I won't like the look of it. Usually I'm not a big fan of silver hair, but it matches your eyes so well. Still think you'd look amazing with platinum blonde though :))
Went to my Sally store thinking I'd get the kind of help you did and I left feeling so dumb and lost. Came home, refound your video and ordered everything from Sally online from your shopping list!! Can't wait for next weekend to do my steps 😉👍🏻 My hair is naturally white/silver with just a little pepper in the crown and neck, but I have been dying my hair brown for years and I am so sick of it and the constant roots -- so excited to phase into my natural color and undoing the brown burden. Your hair looked beautiful when you were done ❤️
@@WHOAyouguys Actually, now that I am gearing up to do my bleaching step tomorrow, I do have a particular question for what you did. I know you used 40 developer with the bleach AND you applied to scalp, but the directions say not to apply to scalp with anything more than 20...? That 30 and 40 should be an off scalp application....So the 40 didn't burn your scalp? Let me know if you get a moment! 😁 Thanks in advance!
@@vanessaleesteinebach7252 for some reason my scalp was fine, but if you want to be on the safe side, just don't leave huge globs of it on your scalp. If it touches it a little, that's fine but when it's piled on there is when it burns. Hopefully that's helpful! 😁💕
@@WHOAyouguys Thank you! I put a blob on the inside of my arm skin and I didn't feel any burning sensation so I think I'll be fine too 😉 I did two sessions of color remover and hopefully I am at a light enough orange hair to just need one bleaching session...we'll see tomorrow -- if it isn't light enough, I'll wait a week and bleach again for a shorter session and then tone...damned dark brown dye is a pain in the ass! 😂
Omg 😱- you look AWESOME- I am transitioning from Chestnut to Gray. I've decided to let it grow out- I have not touched any hair dyes in 19 months - and I am going stir-crazy with this two tone color. But after seeing your transformation I now know what I will be spending my money on next paycheck. Thanks for making the video and for sharing it. P.S. I will be showing this video to the girls at Sally's LOL 🌸💖💖🌸
Holy shit. I'm turning 50 this year and I'm done with my dark color. My natural is a silver smoke color now and this is going to help me grow out my natural hair. Thank you, youngling. You saved this middle aged lady's hair from a potenitally bad experience.
What a great tutorial! I'm starting to go gray at 40 and I am contemplating doing this to go completely gray. Your hair looks great! I'll be going to Sally's to pick up these products. Thank you!
I am going grey. i wonder how to strip my hair color that I have to my natural color.Im sick of coloring my hair now, I'm 60 and I'm taking back my power..lol
dakotahstr I'm pushing 50 but started graying very young. Even had a patch as a kid. I refuse to color it. It's not quite half gray now but, it's a silver gray and I love it. I look forward to it all being silver like my grandmother. Hers was gorgeous! She never colored either
I know it's been a year since you posted but I'd LOVE to know if you stripped you hair color and if you have allowed your greys/silvers to shine through. I'm sooooo tired of coloring mine :(
one thing is for sure, I'm seriously thinking of trying this as well... looks awesome...My hair has had gray in it since I was 18/19 and have died and stripped for years... Im now 56 and its time ...Thought I would just go all natural and for 2 yrs. done nothing to my hair at all including cutting it...Finally just got sick of looking at it went to great clips to have it turned all gray and the girl messed my hair all up to no end... it was the oranges orange I have ever seen...She tried to tell me it was from the box dye I used... WTHECKKKK, I hadn't used anything for over 2 years....lolol... Burned my hair up... Thank goodness I hadn't cut it...It was almost down to my waist... Needlessly to say I had to get it cut so short... omg!!! Now it has been 2 years again and I think maybe this time I'm going to try this way myself and then go get it styled...lolol... Thanks for sharing this video and for everyone's comments...was very insightful... 😁
OMG… I can’t even!! This is AMAZING LADY! I’ve watched SO many videos and didn’t feel confident enough. This gave me all the confidence I needed! I have wanted grey hair for YEARS! I’m 33 and I have a lot of grey. I got my first grey when I was in high school. I have very dark hair. I’m about a level 2-3 dark brown. So you see alll the grey. They stick out like a sore thumb so this will be an amazing colour for me. I am going to Sally and I’m getting everything you did! I cannot wait!! Thank you thank you THANK YOU! :)
@@WHOAyouguys ahhhh you responded!! Thank you! I appreciate it! I’m headed to Sally Beauty right now! I’m gonna video my process! My roots are quite dark. Should I bleach my roots first then my ends or do them both at once?
Very few people can rock that hair cut you have and you fucking ROCK IT !!! love it I’m dying my dark brown hair grey sliver well gonna try thanks for all the help though !
I'm 8 months pregnant, I can't wait till I have this baby so I can do my hair like this, before he makes my hair grey naturally from driving me nuts lol =)
Nicci Zelda NO, it is definitely not! Your skin and scalp are porous! Up to 30% of any nano particle of the toxic chemicals can enter your body and then the body of your baby. You shouldn’t do this when breastfeeding either, which hopefully the woman got to do for her baby. Also anyone dying their hair should make sure to drink lots of water during and after the process too.
You can dye your hair when your pregnant we learned this in Cosmo school we take science courses not just learn how to cut hair or whatever, we have to learn chemistry of the follicles all the chemicals ect.
I'm amazed you did this at home. I've been watching professionals try to cover grey and I haven't seen any of them do a better job than you did at home. Thanks for sharing your formulas, I'm totally going to steal this. Is there anything you would do differently from this? Also, how did it grow out?
Thank you!! I’ve wasted so much money on toners and additives, using them separately with developing just to be disappointed. So thank you I’m going to try step 3 and hopefully it works for me this is what I’ve been going for!
Just an update on my hair using your method. It took a lot of color fix and bleach to get my brown hair white. I then dyed my hair with Ion Permanent color in silver pearl. The result is just what I wanted. Thanks again!
Actually I was looking for someone to comment about that. My hair is black but I have a lot of grays, I want to transition to gray already. I have used the color fix before a d I like it. But I was not sure what go do after bleaching cause toning won't last enough. So my question is after bleachin, do I do what you did with the toner ir can I dye with permanent color??
watched this about 4 times over a weeks time to gain my confidence lol then literally did this step by step (minus the color fix) & got the EXACT results i wanted. what i’m trying to say here is... YOU DA BESSSTTTTT💕 thanks for an awesome video!
melissa Sommer They definitely overcharged and while doing the work they convence you to not go grey. I was told to go and have it sone for a professional and she didn’t do it right and my hair was coming out in chunks. I had to cut it because of her. No thanks!
Thank you so much ! I’ve been watching so many YT videos on how to get silver hair and by far you explained it to the T and made is so much simple love the hair on you !
Great video. Your hair came out so beautiful. I've been dying my ultra thick hair 4N med brown for years. I'm tired of fighting my grey and am hoping doing this will ease me letting it grow out naturally. Thanks so much!
Wow, BRAVE! I lost my hair once before, due to chemo. This time according to this young lady, I can do the lightening process safely and I'm the same dark brown, wanting to go silver grey, she did a wonderful job and it turned out absolutely beautiful! One question though, what happens when your original color begins to grow out?
That's the annoying part about it, unfortunately after a solid amount of regrowth comes in and the gray fades to blonde, you'll have to lighten just the roots again and then tone all of the hair again.
the sally employee here! love how it turned out, you did a gooood job!
Neli Lugo you found me! Haha thank you for subscribing! and thanks so much (: couldn't do it successfully without your help!

Did it work? Are you still grey,?
That makes me so happy! Thanks for letting me know! 😁♡
I've tried gray hair twice and almost gave up on it until i found this video. My hair isn't even dry yet lol and its straight silver. Your a life saver❤
I'm so glad i could help! :D
Most of the Sally employees at the one where I go to have no idea of anything. You'd think they worked at a blank paper store.
- JAVA - haha yeah, I got lucky! There are some that don't really know what they're talking about but she was super helpful.
Omg yes ur so right! When i went to sally this women didnt know what she was saying 😳
Sallys employees are not stylists. They get some breif training when they're hired
They are not always lisenced professionals
For some reason in Hawaii you have to have some sort of cosmetology training. I think it's our district manager here who requires it though
That's awesome! I'm happy for you! (:
Yep probably go to Sallys
I'm SCARED to death to do the same thing. I'm 57 with brown hair color. It has faded and now the grays are poking through. I look ridiculous. I LOVED your tutorial. You are not only adorable but I feel like I CAN do this. Thank you.
Love this! It turned out so gorgeous! Just a little tip for anyone who wants to use this toner and booster combo, if your hair is already pale blonde with no hints of yellow skip over the 20 vol and use 10 vol developer! Or if you’re maintaining this grey color use 10 vol to keep your hair from drying out! The 20 vol actually adds lifting power to the color which will eventually result in damage of the hair if over used 💕
100% agreed and that’s why I don’t use conventional toners, only purple shampoo.
Correct advice!
This is the greatest instructional video on UA-cam. You should have won some award for this service to humanity!
"There's no brass, and it no longer smells like ass" haha.
looks great sistah!
jessikerz07 haha thanks! (:♡
jessikerz07 that was my favorite line😂😂😂😂
I work in my house and the beauty salon too for 10 years. I love this job and I know it's not easy getting this color. You got it.👏🏻💇🏻😘
Fini Fernandez well thank you!! (:
For 7 long years I have spent thousands at the salon trying to achieve this color. Only to leave with green or brown hair. For a whopping 56$ I have finally gotten silver. Thank you so very very much !!!! 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you so much for sharing! I'm so happy for you! ♡
This is the best tutorial for grey - silver hair you explained everything perfectly I'm going for it 😅🤞
Jesika N thanks!
How'd it turn out?
Did you do it?
Thank you so much!🥰🥰💖
Thank you!♡ i hope it goes well for you!
Damm, i wish i knew what to do~😕🤷♀️🤦♀️
So I just left Sally’s! Time to get my bowl out 😂 Wish me luck
ToxikCupcakez haha your comment tho! Haha good luck! (:
ToxikCupcakez how did your hair turn out? I'm wanting to try it But wanted to see another brave souls' results.
Did it turn out okay??
Yes, show us how your hair turned out please
And so... what did the disaster look like?
I was so scared when it almost got into your eye! 😱
PS I'm a professional hair color specialist and I must admit you totally nailed this look. Normally I wouldn't encourage someone to do their own color at home under any circumstances but luckily you have the skill and the Sally's employee was knowledgeable enough. It looks beautiful!
Cassidy Farrar thank you so much!! (:
I have dark, thick, amazing hair and decided to follow the toning steps from this video. I had my hair stylist bleach the full head prior, so I was working with a palette ready for toning. My hair came out amazing! I did not add more developer as she did here after she added in the additive and i love the way it came out too! thank you for this vid!
That is awesome! Also, a super smart way to go about doing it!
How the quality of the hair was after the process? Could you use heat on it?
Your hair looks beautiful! I love it! I want so bad to do my hair but I’ve never done anything like this and I’m afraid I will ruin my hair.
I am 71 yrs old and during the pandemic I decided to just let my gray hair grow out. The rest of my hair is a dyed auburn. You were fortunate to have that girl at Sally’s tell you what to get.
Thank you! And I'm going to attempt this on my mother in law who is going gray as well, wish me luck!
WHOAyouguys Did you do your Moms hair? Did you video on it?
@@barbaramarion3540 haha i did! But i didn't record the process.. It turned out great though (: I took pictures in case I decide to do a video talking about how I did it. (:
Also a Sally employee and we recommend that color remover a lot as well as the T 18 and color additives. Looks awesome! Just a suggestion so you get an exact measurement of developer but after pouring the toner into the bowl you can use the bottle to measure the developer. Thanks for sharing
デスバイルキ thank you! (:
WoW!
Awesome! Thank you♡
The two step color brilliance really works.
That's awesome! Thank you!
Great job! I've been coloring my salt and pepper hair for years... I'm over it. I am scared to do it myself so I'm going to show your results to my hair dresser♡
Thank you! That's awesome, I hope it works out for you!♡
You're hilarious! & cute. Loved watching this, & good job using the color remover beforehand. Your hair turned out great!
Beautiful!!Exactly what I’m looking to do I’m going gray and it’s a silver color actually and I want to dye my brown hair gray so it all matches thank you for doing this it’s so good for us older ladies to
Thank you! Lemme know if you have any questions (:
Hands down the BEST video I have seen! I went to Cosmo school so I know the basics, but, I dont use my skills everyday. This method worked perfect and got exactly the results I wanted!
That's amazing, thanks so much for sharing! ♡
"Time to get ma bowl out 😉" I really loved that line 😂
Ms. Heaven haha thank you! lol thought it was classic

Good job 👏. I am growing my gray out . I am 52 years old . I don’t like the mixed up look that I am having
I literally did this today after watching her video and following her steps, I been wanting my hair this color for so long and it's so expensive to have someone else do it.
Thankyou so much I'm so happy with the results and I will forever be greatful that you shared this information with us to use, thankyou! I love my hair!

I love how thorough you are showing everything you used so we can read everything. It turned out so pretty! ❤
Thank you sooo much for this! I followed your steps exactly and my hair turned out perfect🙌🏽 shout out to the Sally’s lady that helped you help us☺️
Whoa! Followed your instructions and so pleased! Saved a ton of money and eventually my grays will just blend in and take over. Thank you so much for taking time to help others :)

Purple shampoo every other shower will help maintain it :D
Cindy Bubb...that's exactly my plan too!
FYI.. love your before and afters on all your videos! Absolutely love the outcome!!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been coloring my hair since going gray at the age of 30. I’m now 61 and will be using your video to bleach and color.
Roxann S awesome!
I love the comment that "there's no brass and it no longer smells like ass." Your boyfriend is hilarious! Best video I've seen on hair dying in a long time. It was fun to watch.
Freqgirl Karu why thank you! Haha (:
I giggled at that two haha.. little rhyme going on in there haha... Im waiting on my hair stripper coming and trying to go platinum blonde! Wish me luck 😬😬
Holy Crap, this is the first and only video I have ever found that gave me the exact formula and product to do exactly what I wanted to do. Dark hair to silver. Thanks so much!!!
So glad I could help! 😁
Keep on doing what you do 😉🤣😂😎
Thanks! (:
You did an amazing job with your hair. After you bleached it and it was blotchy I have to admit I was skeptical at first but then when I seen the final results you really did a great job!!!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for the terrific video & product recommendations. I have started to grow my natural gray out . My hair is your starter color . I have dyed my hair for years & had it professionally colored . Im feeling pretty confident to try this . Compared to growing it out & having the color difference. I will comment again & add to your community ❤ Janelle
the blonde and grey both suit you so incredibly well!!
sav xo thank you!
Thanks.
How did it work for you? I'm in the same situation as you.
Thanks.
So LUSH 😍 this is super helpful for me having similar colours and length and wanting that perfect silver 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
it's so weird how you have naturally dark brown hair, because blonde suits you much better. I've been wanting to take my level 5-6 brown hair to platinum for a year now, wish I had the guts, but I'm too scared of the damage and that I won't like the look of it. Usually I'm not a big fan of silver hair, but it matches your eyes so well. Still think you'd look amazing with platinum blonde though :))
unoriginalname04 thank you! And if you do it in a slow process it shouldn't be all that bad for your hair (: just keep it nice and moisturized
Omg! I have been looking for a video like this! I've literally watched like 50 dark to grey hair videos and none of them were helpful! Ty so much!
Thank you! ♡ I really hope it goes well for you! Lemme know if you have any questions! (:
@@WHOAyouguys Actually, now that I am gearing up to do my bleaching step tomorrow, I do have a particular question for what you did. I know you used 40 developer with the bleach AND you applied to scalp, but the directions say not to apply to scalp with anything more than 20...? That 30 and 40 should be an off scalp application....So the 40 didn't burn your scalp? Let me know if you get a moment! 😁 Thanks in advance!
@@WHOAyouguys above I'm talking about directions on the bleach powder container itself, not your directions 😂
Holy shit that turned out nice
KHURRAM HUSSAIN thanks!
P.S. I will be showing this video to the girls at Sally's LOL
🌸💖💖🌸
Awesome! Haha and thanks! :D
I specifically come back to this one every time, because I forget what to buy, thanks!
Holy shit. I'm turning 50 this year and I'm done with my dark color. My natural is a silver smoke color now and this is going to help me grow out my natural hair. Thank you, youngling. You saved this middle aged lady's hair from a potenitally bad experience.

@@WHOAyouguys Gotta wait for Sally's to reopen here. Next week I think. I'll post when I get it done though!

Sally Beauty employee here I think you did great! I've recommend those products many times!
So I add the ash blonde toner AND the 050 color together with the developer right??
What a great tutorial! I'm starting to go gray at 40 and I am contemplating doing this to go completely gray. Your hair looks great! I'll be going to Sally's to pick up these products. Thank you!

You weren't kidding on how bad that color fix smells. 🤢
How long did you leave it and what color was your hair ?
Like rotten egg salad... smelled like that about 4 days... but I like the results fro, ONE AND ONLY COLORFIX
Mine smelt like wee it was awful
I’m glad I stayed and watched. Your hair looks amazing and it’s exactly the look I’m hoping for-thank you take care
Im now 56 and its time
...Thought I would just go all natural and for 2 yrs. done nothing to my hair at all including cutting it...Finally just got sick of looking at it went to great clips to have it turned all gray and the girl messed my hair all up to no end... it was the oranges orange I have ever seen...She tried to tell me it was from the box dye I used... 😁
I followed your tutorial this weekend, and my hair came out perfect! Thank you so much for the great advice!

How long did you kept the toner?
Hairdresser here of40+ yrs.... I’m very impressed with your process and results. 👌💕
I'm 8 months pregnant, I can't wait till I have this baby so I can do my hair like this, before he makes my hair grey naturally from driving me nuts lol =)
You know, it's actually completely safe to use hair colour/bleach while you're pregnant :)
@@empressah888 False! You don't know what you're talking about!
Empressah that’s a myth honey, dyeing and bleaching is safe
Roxann S awesome! Now I can let people know if they're curious :D thanks!
How long did this colour last?
Actually I was looking for someone to comment about that. My hair is black but I have a lot of grays, I want to transition to gray already. I have used the color fix before a d I like it. But I was not sure what go do after bleaching cause toning won't last enough. So my question is after bleachin, do I do what you did with the toner ir can I dye with permanent color??

Ooh it really brings out the color of your eyes❤️
Why is it that you look good in every hair color?
Brings out your eye color a lot. Very pretty!!
Thank you!
My hair would fall off if I tried this lol it came out very nice!!
