Very good cookies! I used 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to mix with the dry ingredients. For the second bowl, I used organic coconut sugar instead of brown sugar, and added 4 drops of vanilla extract with the egg before beating. I used a tablespoon for measuring out the cookie dough. (I'm a first time cookie-maker. My wife has Parkinson's Disease and needs cranberries to regulate her bladder, a malady affecting P.D. patients. I had to get more cranberries in her which she could tolerate. She loved the cookies and ate 2 in one sitting, even though she doesn't like cranberries!) Thanks again from a real green horn at cookie making!!
I wish she would've replayed to your comment because it was one of the sweetest things I've read in the UA-cam comments , I hope your wife gets better and can keep parkinson's at bay !!!

This was an easy recipe to follow. However, someone commented the baker left out the name of the 3rd ingredient. He/She did not. After they added the oats and 1st dry ingredient they obviously did not have a 3/4 cup so she used a 1/2 cup which is equivalent to 2/4 cup and the 3rd dry ingredient was a 1/4 cup so when you add 2/4 and 1/4 it = 3/4 cups. I tried this recipe the 1st time and to be fair I added Baking Powder instead of Baking Soda so they came out dry. When I mixed the dry mixture and wet mixture it did not look as full as her mixture in the video. I also felt that 1 cup of cranberries was a lot for the mixture I had. I was able to make only 10 cookies about 3" in circumference. In addition, when I left the cookies in for 10 minutes as indicated in the recipe the cookies did not looked cooked. When I opened them up they were not cooked sufficiently . I was aware they needed to look a little moist but they were not cooked the way they were supposed to look or be. I then turned them over and left them in for 5 more minutes and they were golden brown on both sides but still dry. It could have been the baking powder that dried them. However, I made them again but put less sugar and butter and they were still dry. Not bad but dry. I just spoke to a baker who told me you cannot change the recipe in baking especially if you are a novice at baking. If you are a baker with experience you would know what to change if one felt that something needed changing but only in small quantities. With that said, I will try this recipe again and follow the recipe exactly as provided. I want to thank you for taking the time to share your recipe.
baked cookies with this recipe. I added cinnamon at vanilla.
Is it ok to store the dough in the freezer long term, like a month?
Just made these. I think they could have been a little sweeter. Maybe add vanilla. But they were ok. Just tasted like oatmeal and cranberry together
I did add a little more sugar to mine. And some vanilla.
Totally agree that it could have been sweeter, and it seemed to have a lot of cranberries, but not bad if you don't have a insane sweet tooth (I know hubby won't be eating these), and it was a great way to use up some dried cranberries.
Dah no kidding?
The cookies are yummy
Instead of egg what can we use mam
Are they crispy?
I made this last Sunday, but the cookies were very soft. Are these soft cookies?
They are softer cookies.
What's wrong with a soft cookie?

Can I replace baking soda with baking powder? Thanks!
I would highly recommend you to go out and buy baking soda as they both have different chemical properties
Yes they will just be more cake like instead of chewier., I used a half tsp of both and added some almond extract and vanilla extract on half tsp almond , one tsp vanilla , and I added 2 TBS honey also .
🙏🏻🌹🙏🏻
picture does not match ingredients...rolled oats, then flour, then ? looks like baking powder.....skips to 1/2 tsp baking soda
awful recipe those were not cookies at all, I followed this recipe twice, step by step and the outcome was the same. not cookies at all, more like just watery paste
I think they used dry oatmeal.
So you didn’t follow it step by step.
Dummy!
Music is useless. Where's narration? Can't listen to captions. Bye
