As a budding therapist, I'd just like to point out that everything Dr. Phil does is like the antithesis of what actual healthful therapy should look like. It irks me to even call him a doctor to be honest, considering he's broken the Hippocratic oath more times than I can count. The point of my joke is that he often extended his area of expertise into areas of the medical (that I jokingly referred to as "a real doctor") as opposed to the psychological and that he did not voluntarily cease renewing his license but rather that the board suspended his license after 2 complaints of misconduct, including making sexual advances towards a patient of his. Those would be his "secrets". I have the utmost respect for PhDs. I do not have much respect for Dr. Phil. Reasonable people can disagree, of course.
