Float fishing For Big Carp With Corn

- It is no secret that corn is one of the best baits for carp, nor is it a secret that float fishing for carp is a huge amount of fun. In this video I have combined both and gone float fishing for carp with corn and had a very successful carp fishing session.

Can’t wait to watch a good carp video Robbie keep up the great work mate🔥🔥👍🏻
Thanks so much Rory. The carp are biting well in my area at the moment.
Absolutely unreal mate, good to see you hooking into them any time of year! Well done.
Hey mate you and robbie are my all time favorite UA-camrs keep up the good work
Thanks mate. If it wasn't for the carp I wouldn't be catching as many fish. Haha
I'm betting all of the carp lovers willbe crying in their room temperature beer at your method of clearing the net lol.
I hope soon to get out and chase some carp now that the cold weather is shutting the tilapia down. I'm already collecting tins of corn lol.
hahahaha Thanks mate. That cracked me up. Over their warm beer. LMAO That technique works really well until the sinker gets snagged in the net. LOL
@@robbiefishing lol yeah nothing is perfect. I run into a lot of guys who are from Europe and the US who don't understand what carp have done in Australia so they get a bit offended when I suggest their mass extinction. I totally get that they're prized game in the UK etc, as I'm a fan of channels like Carl and Alex and TA Fishing, but I'm keen on catching as many out of local waters as I can. There's no way I'll ever clean them out but I like to think I'm helping out the native fish stocks, even just a little.
Don't think they are crying into their warm beers, prob laughing at your crude rigs , equipment ,lack of fish care and any real knowledge of carp fishing. 🎣
@@guitarpicker1393 that and the fact that I'm out there killing carp constantly - not praising a finned cane toad.
Your making me miss Victoria well except the lockdown obviously keep it up robby
Haha thanks mate. Sicktoria... we're are now in lockdown 4.0
i luv your de-netting technic, simple and effective
Haha thanks Fred, and I don't end up with carp smell on my hands.
If I use a hook full of 🌽 then no taker's but 1or 2 and there all over it and eel as well!
I have never tried float fishing for Carp, might need to give it a go. Nice session and keep the great vids coming. Cheers!
Thanks mate. It is so much fun. Float fishing for anything is the best. It's so exciting just watching the float bounce up and down. haha
You’ll be fine mate, don’t believe a word I say…. Lol. Great video Robbie and thanks for the ear worm! 😂
Thanks Tubby. Hahahahaha Never trust the bearded fisherman. LOL
That video had more fishing action then I've had on the Loddon River in 4 days lol this cold weather has shut the fishing down something shocking but it still beats sitting on the couch stuck at home in lockdown
Haha thanks mate. My mate Rohan fishes over that way and is saying exactly the same thing. At lest we can still head out, even if it is only for 2hrs and 5km.
The mayor of Mudtown returns welcome back😁👍. Keep the videos coming mate need them to help get through another lockdown😡😡. We live in the dumbest state. Anyway good on ya mate👍.
Haha thanks mate. My friend Strawbs asked a question on Facebook yesterday. He asked "Can you still catch covid if you've had the jab" and one of his friends answered "Only if you live in Victoria" 🤣🤣🤣
great job robbie i love float fishing
isnt that ironic lmfao i almost fell off my chair laughing again. you keep this up and im gonna have to strap myself in ha ha ha . this was one of the best videos of yours of watched in a while. awesome job have a great day mate :)
Great to catch something anything I still haven't caught a fish this year yet. I've lost my touch you are the man. Great video.
Thanks so much Vincent. I heard a funny joke the other day about a train conductor eating bananas. LOL It reminded me of you. Haha Have you heard it?
@@robbiefishing no not yet. 🤔
@@Vincentdonnelly5158 A train conductor is driving a train with 50 passengers on railroad tracks. He misses the last stop and crashes the train, killing everyone on the train but him. He gets sentenced to death by the electric chair, but gets offered a last meal first. He accepts, choosing just 1 banana. After eating his banana, he goes into the execution room and sits on the chair. He gets given the shock, but nothing happens. They give him the shock again, and again nothing happens. They let him go and he gets his train conductor license again. He has 60 passengers, and the same occurence as last time happens, and he gets the same sentence. Upon being asked what he'd like for his last meal, he chooses 2 bananas. He eats them then enters the room and sits on the chair. He gets given the lethal shock, but nothing happens. They try a few more times with the same result. They decide to let him go and he gets his train conductor license back. He has 69 passengers on board when he crashes and everyone but him dies. He gets given the same sentence but when he asks for 3 bananas as his last meal, they say "No, I think the bananas have been making you invulnerable to the chair" so he sits down on an empty stomach and when he survives multiple shocks again, they ask "How are you surviving? We didn't let you have any bananas!" and he replies "It's not the bananas. I'm just a bad conductor."
@@robbiefishing that's a terrible joke I'm laughing because it's so bad. 😀😁😂🤣😃😄😅😉😉
Hahahaha
Nothing like stringibg together one of Rob's sentences when a trout is hitting his lure.... it's-on-its-off-nah-here-he- comes narhh-his-on-arhh-I-paused-it- aarrhh-he's-off...dammit!!!-sheez he was a good fish too!
hahaha You sounded just like me. LOL
Nice work making the most of the bite window. Gotta love that net work as well Robbie.
Great work as always, these bloody carp are everywhere now! I saw some at the fish markets for $8/kg a few years ago, no way I would eat the stinking bastards..
Thanks for the useful info, I want to catch more carp, and knowing that corn works very well is useful, it's cheap and can store for longer than live bait. Time to go catch some carp.
Great vid mate love them
Thanks so much mate.
Absolutely love your commitment to encouraging people to fish and catch carp.
When “any fishing is good fishing”, they are great fun and we need to do our bit for the eco system and our sport by targeting them from time to time.
We cant just watch and complain about carp and their impact on the waterways, we need to be a part of the solution.
Fishing isn’t a spectator sport
Thanks for sharing
Love your work
Thanks so much mate. I agree. I love my carp fishing, especially in the cooler months. If it wasn't for carp I wouldn't be catching very many fish at the moment. I went bait fishing for cod in my 5km limit yesterday and all I caught was a carp. I cut it up for cray bait later this week and the amount of eggs it has it in was insane.
Them tape measures are very handy, I have one my self I haven’t used any other measure since, excellent video mate. Have a good one
Hey Jordan thanks so much mate.
“Ya gunna be just fine mate”🤣🤣👍
Hahahahaha Isn't it ironic. 🤣🤣🤣
Great video Robbie, good to see your still getting a few 🎣 ❤️. I'm still yet to catch a trout this year even though I have tried bloody hard, I must just be awful at fishing. Keep up the great work and keep catching those carp! ❤️ 😊 😂
Nice work mate !! 👌👍
Thanks mate.
Ripper video Robbie. Well done mate. I also heard your back in lockdown. Bummer
Thanks buddy. Yeah it's a bit crap. We can still fish if we travel less than 5km and limit it to 2 hours. LOL
Good video mate enjoyed that 👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much Cam.
Hey Robbie, love the channel. Any chance of a video or a series of videos on simple knots and rigs. Some of us greenhorns really struggle with that stuff. Thanks mate.
Hi Das thanks so much for the great suggestion mate. If you search "robbiefishing how to ties a patternoster rig' or "robbiefishing how to tie a loop knot" or "robbiefishing how to tie a running sinker rig" yopu should be able to find a few of my older knot tying videos mate.
😀😀👍🤝Супер рыбаки ловись, 👏👏рыбка большая и маленькая
This is an Australian channel mate haha 😂
Hey Robbiefishing Hey you you watching robbiefishing and keep up the good work mate and keep the good content coming mate and keep up the good cod and redfin and carp fishing videos coming mate and keep the good yabbying videos coming mate and stay safe mate and god bless
HEY KANE Thanks so much for watching champ.
@@robbiefishing Hey Robbie no worries mate anytime mate keep up the good work and keep the good content coming mate and stay safe safe mate and god bless
Lovely singing Robbie 😂🔥❤️
Haha I sounded just like Alanis. Hahaha
Mate, absolutely love your videos! Always look forward to seeing them, my question is, what ros holders do you use? I haven’t seen them before and they look pretty awesome!
Thanks mate. The rod holder on the right is just a regular holder bought from a tackle store. The one on the left was made for me by a guy named Simon Humpgrey. Here is a link to a more detailed vision of it: ua-cam.com/video/I_F1roMIsOE/v-deo.html
great video mate, dont know what the people who dislike get out of it, especially when it is 1 guy, anyway keep it up Robbie.
Hi Robbie, is that the ovens near bundalong? Love the vids, my 5 year old argued with me today that a crayfish was a yabby. After watching an old cray vid of yours, he still argued a cray was a yabby. Im happy letting my kids watch you vids mate, cos you don;t swear and it;s kid friendly. Cheers mate
Hi Nick, yep just upstream of Bundalong mate. Thank you so much for your kind words. Thay really means a lot to me. I try to behave. Sometimes I push the boundaries a little bit too far and need to be reined in, but for the most part I am well behaved.
I love kids, they're the best. I am a volunteer with the Make A Wish foundation. I wanted to give back, and whatever charity I chose it was always going to be one that involved kids. Kids are the best.
Hey Robbie, Great video again. Have you ever tried floating bread for carp? Its a lot of fun, sort of a cross between float fishing and top water lures... If you want to give it a go let me know and I will send you some photos of how to rig it up.
Hi Dave, thanks mate. I use to do that a lot as a kid. It was particularly effective from the bridge near my house growing up. I haven't done it for a long time but must give it another go.
i like your excitement and passion!!!
Thanks so much mate.
Mate! You sir are king of the mud marlin, while I can't catch one haha.
Might have to watch a bit more Robbie fishing for some tips :)
Great vid as always mate.
Thanks so much mate. Haha I actually have a ripper carp video coming out soon, possibly next Sunday night if not earlier where I give up a heap ofnwinter carp fishing secrets and tips. Make sure you stay tuned for that one mate it has a lot if winter carp fishing information in it.
@@robbiefishing no worries mate, well sounds like that is one I need to watch :) will be keeping an eye out because this winter carp fishing isn't going very well for me haha
On the bright side NSW has plenty of eels so if no Carp always garaunteed an eel 😂
@@bushfishncook2128 haha thats awesome. Something that I've always wanted to catch.
@@robbiefishing haha yeah maybe once or twice after that they start to be a pain the worst thing to get off a hook... Maybe one day you will have to head to NSW for a fish plenty of eels here anytime of the day haha
@@robbiefishing I'm going to do a night eel fish soon though for channel going in search of some monsters and at night seems to be the time they come out, I have had an eel snap my old tuna rod and break line that is rated to 50kg, would love to see just how big the eels are that are doing the damage...
👍👍👍
Cleansing the waterways:1 carp at a time!
Hey you! how much weight on a line is good for a baitcaster reel for murry cod, if so can i use it on jigheads on it? Or will I get no casting distance because of line weight? kind/fishing regards Fabijan
Hi mate, I use 50lb braid on my baitcaster. They will cast heavy jigheads but not small ones.
5:37 carp stock up for the winter in the summer that's why it is so fat. and Robbie I'm surprised you a still catching carp they are harder to catch because they aren't really foregoing
Those clear floats that you can adjust the weight and boyancy by putting water in them are great. Easy to rig adjust and cast far as with minimum tangles similar to the red and white bubble float. You can put a bit of coloured tape on them so you can still see them when far away. Definately worth a go Robbie they are cheap aswell. As always great video thankyou. Cheers mate! 👍
Hi mate, thanks for the great suggestion. I must look into them. I have seen them used in the past and may have used them as a kid. I could not be bothered with all the stuffing around with the more complex float set-ups, but something basic like that is right up my alley.
@@robbiefishing I used to buy them at kmart about ten fifteen years ago im not sure if they still sell them. There were two versions there a soft clear plastic one and a hard plastic one the soft version were a lot better in my opinion which is only my opinion each to his own. I think jarvis walker made them. I dont go fishing as much as i would like to anymore or at the minute besides when i go fishing with you while watching your videos lol. Anyway i will keep my eyes open if i see any i will buy you a whole bunch of them and send them to you. Keep up the great work thanks mate! 👍
When are you going to do more yabies and crayfish ?
Love watching it don’t know if it’s the right seasons ?
Hi mate we are in between seasons at the moment. Crayfishing season opens tomorrow, but we are in lockdown which may make it difficult for a little while.
Ok cool keep up the videos I enjoy them !
I’m a carp fisherman from the Uk. Would love to catch some Aussie carp. I’m based near kawana on the sunny coast and would love to know of any spots people know up here
Thanks mate. I'm sorry I can't help as I don't know that area at all. Hopefully someone else sees the comment and can help.
I reckon the secret is just to wedge the bite window wide open Robbie.
Haha thanks Frank I think you're onto something....
Hey Robstar, what’s your PB carp?
Hi mate, the biggest that I have measured is 78cm (twice) but I may have caught bigger years ago before measuring carp was cool. LOL
couple nice sized carp... not that they’re nice fish themselves!
Haha thanks mate..they're nice fun to catch. LOL
For the algorithm.
Not sure what you mean mate sorry.
RIP, Black snake, poor thing.
Yeah I know. I wonder what happened to it?
@@robbiefishing Yeah, I wonder too?
Nice ol' mud marlin! NOT! ;oP
Mud marlin - ha ha
Obviously you not catching enough carb, they still in prolific numbers, so u need to catch more!
I will do my best.
mud marlin lol.
I want eat carp
I have eaten them. They're OK if you fillet them, but VERY bony.
first lol
Hahha legend.
This IS Omega 3 in Royal Aussie Koi not not FAT, NOT CARP.
Do not remove royal koi, big ones are essential to have any other fish. By removal you will got DEAD WATER.
