I spent my career in the insurance industry. At the time, pre-existing conditions were still a thing and if you were found to have lied on your application (about a pre-existing condition, smoking, etc.) you could be cancelled and your claims denied. TWO DECADES ago I was told by someone in senior management that the applications really played no part in determining premiums because they paid a lot of money to some service that told them everything about everyone. He said if you buy cigarettes at the gas station, buy junk food, are in bars on the weekend, go skydiving, etc, we know and that is how premiums are determined. The applications are just for show, but can be used to legally cancel/deny later on. This was long before anyone was even imagining such things were in use.

I wish I'd known this stuff 20 years ago. I'd had a hunch and knew a little bit in my teen years but didn't know the depth of it until my 20s. I'm in my 30s now and honestly it's too late for me. My children have data out there (by data I mean they have SSNs and medical records, just like everyone else) but they're still children. They would keep telling us all the great stuff about how it was going to make good jobs. Then came the "strange" stuff. They would fire the contractor for ANY little reason . They never quite gave the proper info on what college classes to take nor what job they would have open. Then they gave a tour for a few realtors & 1 was my friend. She said there was a whole city under the plant. Strange.. Then POOF they said they decided they can't make the pannles as cheap as China . So they "sold" the plant . Wanna guess to who? Google & Lg. If you try to enter the gates, you won't get far, that's for sure as the armed guardes will do their job

Your driver's license is scanned when going to a hospital and some doctors offices. Does this put medical info on your license? Something to think about. License swiped for buying alcohol. This can be used against your ability to buy health insurance. How will your buying habits make life more difficult in other areas?
They have and still are building huge data centers here in Texas for past 20 years. They are huge and have several extremely large generators for electrical backup, I’ve done crane work on theses buildings. Google has built large facilities here and another one 20 miles east of me next city!
