You can make excuses all day long. If Texas and Bama both win this weekend and Bama is the only one who gets in, that is complete and utter horseshit. Why in the HELL would any future team schedule a tough non conference ROAD game if winning it gives you absolutely no credibility.
sos.
Bama would beat the number 1 team, LSU, and ole miss. Texas lost to Oklahoma.
@@Broadkill54 And who did Alamaba lose to again? I can't remember
@@BaderAaron that’s fine and all, but the strength of schedule is way weaker then Alabama. They have gotten better since that game and Texas hasn’t.
@@Broadkill54 So why play the games? If at the end of the day it's all a beauty pageant, why even play at all? For 10 years this playoff has essentially been the Alabama Invitational. So sick of the games not mattering.
If Bama gets in ahead of Texas no power 5 team will EVER schedule a good out of conference game again. Its bad for the sport the games HAVE TO mean something.
Agreed, but I will also say this and it’s one of my biggest pet peeves about college football, stop having these marquee matchups in the first 2 weeks of the season schedule them in like week 5 or 6 when both teams have played enough together
1000000%
If Texas wins and Bama wins but Bama gets in the whole sport is meaningless.
Head to head has to matter, otherwise the entire concept of winning and losing means nothing
Putting Bama in over Texas if both win would be extremely damaging to the sport. At that point just decide national champion by the recruiting rankings and who has the best coach because games don’t matter, so why even play any
Also before anyone says I’m a UT homer I’m a Wisconsin fan and I don’t like either of these teams
@@Simbaforlife agreed on both points! Texas went into Bryant-Denny, and stepped on Bama’s neck, the fact it happened in week 2 shouldn’t matter.
Bama’s only loss is to another playoff contender (Texas), if they make the CFP; that means Texas has a H2H *road* win against a playoff team (Bama).
Aye dios!
The committee will never leave an SEC team out, their plan year after year has always been to set the playing field in favor of the SEC.
I’m gonna keep it real! The conference screwed Texas over point Oklahoma would’ve been playing. It would’ve looked a lot better than Oklahoma State. Let’s keep it real.
I knew Bruce in Elementary school and Middle School so happy he is doing so well.
I knew him in high school
It’s truly too bad that this year isn’t the first 8 team playoff…
Next year is 12 teams
For real. I think 12 is a bit much. But if you take the current top 8.. such quality games and many unknowns
Mizzou fan here, but if 12-1 Bama gets in ahead of 12-1 Texas I am done with college football, I'll go watch Baseball or something. There is no way the TOUGHEST SoS including a 10 point win on the road in the head to head just gets ignored and I continue supporting that noise. Get outta here with that.
they lost to oklahoma... how good could they really be...........................
Texas has a bad loss to Oklahoma. And Alabama would have a better strength of record than Texas. The games have to matter, but all of the games should matter. Not just a week 2 game.
Milroe doesn’t look that much different than he did against Texas
cant believe milroe/bama will beat ga...
...............
On the flipside Bama’s only legit playoff team that faced they lost against Texas. Besides, that what is their best win Ole Miss, who they beat by 14 points in Georgia demolished
Bama's biggest win would be UGA.. what are you talking about?
@@martinmccormick2166 clearly you didn’t listen to Bruce. He stated that Georgia hasn’t faced a playoff caliber team so I said who has bama faced.
bama has a better resume than texas, who has texas faced? tcu? texas tech?
@@detectif1061Texas beat bama earlier in the season
bama is better today and has the better resume.@@jeremyroberts8822
Texas is the best D bama played all year. Who says we dont make Milroe look the same. Hes got better...but guess what!!! So has our D
It’s a different story every other year, there’s never been 4 undefeated teams not even close
This crap is why it’s nice that we’re moving to a larger playoff format next year. Cus at the end of the day a team or maybe 2 that deserves to be in the playoff is gonna get left out
That’s never happened 😂. We could easily end up with 4 undefeated teams after Saturday, that’s pretty clear
Bruce "21 points" Feldman
Bruce is great at sounding smart and being dumb. I have witnessed him be wrong on so many things over the past two years
Feldman... I'll quote from Bruce Springsteen's song Rosalita:
"My machine, she's a dud. Stuck in the mud. Somewhere in the swamps of Jersey."
Switch out "swamps and Jersey" for cow-pasture and Columbus... it fits... Especially about being a dud.
"Consistent - meaningless - content" - Thanks Bruce!
If Alabama gets in over Texas, the committee is stating loudly that the games don't matter, conference does.
Alabama beating Georgia wouldn't give them the best win of the year. It would give that honor to Texas, who beat them.
you are absotutely RIGHT. Thats why BOTH Texas and Bama go in if they win out. The two best wins in the country would belong to BOTH squads in that scenario
Also if they do put Alabama in and Texas out less and less team would put difficult games in there non conference schedules and put easier games !
@@RayMon504 You dont get in over the PAC champ
That's incorrect.. Alabama beating a number 1 UGA team would be better than Texas beating a Number 8 Alabama team.
@@RayMon504and what if Mich Wash fsu go undefeated or replace oregon. Then what?
Barely being Auburn thinking Georgia will lose is wild lmao 🤣
I think Georgia will win, but anything is possible. Every team has had a scare but pulled off a win so it's not a wild concept to think Alabama could win. It will be interesting to see what happens if Georgia were to lose and Texas wins.
Learn to look at the schedule and scores - auburn only lost by 7 against ga 😂
Auburn is a different place and both ga and Bama always have issues there
Georgia giving up over 200 rushing yards to the nerds of Georgia tech and not beating them by 20 plus is wild
You act like tech didn't play Georgia close for the most part considering it's Georgia tech lol
@@di114n2sure they up 200 yards but it was on 44 carries so not even 5 per carry.
I honestly feel like the SEC is getting a pass thinking that they should have 2 teams in the cfp. They should treat the SEC championship as a elimination game. Winner is in the cfp. Loser is out.
that aint how life works
Rich didn't watch the SEC this season.
The SEC was a dud this season
Problem in logic. FSU is in regardless of a backup QB. However, Alabama leapfrogs Texas for the playoffs because Milroe is much improved since the Texas game they lost. How is that logical?
Why doesn't how Alabama who was a 3 touchdown favorite to beat Auburn factor in to this...in the committee's eyes it mattered thats why they didn't catapult Alabama above Ohiostate and Texas like all of you SEC biased expected
Finally, finally someone is saying what I’ve been saying for weeks if not months! The idea of a SEC champ, not getting in does not compute! I mean, if we’re being really honest, Alabama wins and they’re in what you gonna put Georgia in over the team to just beat them
No you’d put mich , wash or ore, fsu and Texas. How you gonna put Bama over Texas
UGA fumbled at the 50 and their own 15 against Auburn, both went for TD drives. It was Beck’s first sec road game. I think people are making too much of the close win at Auburn
Saying Alabama's improved after beating a bad Auburn team, only because of a terrible defensive call, is a bit of a stretch.
so you only judge them on 1 game correct?
Bruce, you belong on the committee like when the chairman said Oregon is better because Bo Nix completes 78% of his passes. Are you f’ing kidding me? If Bama beats Georgia, they are not going in without Texas. Otherwise, why play the games during the season at all?
The committee clearly has never seen a Pac-12 game where defense is as hard to find as Big Foot lol. The one hard game they played (Wash) they lost. Cool, there's one good team in the Pac-12. Bama had to play UT, Ole Miss, LSU, and Tenn and UK. UGA had to play Mizzou, Ole Miss, and Kentucky (who beat the then number 10 Louisville and Bama played UK as well). The committee is a literal sham.
@@Bamaboy813b12 Is the weakest conference and the pac 12 has 4 currently ranked teams. Oregon has the #2 offense in yards per play in the nation and the #12 defense in the nation in yards per play Oregon wins by an average margin of victory of 30 and they play #3 this week
still dont make FSU one of the 4 best teams. FSU is TCU 2.0
Imagine if this was still a 2 team BCS.
Michigan Georgia NC although it could be Michgan Oregon in NC
Georgia Michigan
Iowa, Oregon and Bama win their conference championships would be interesting
No way will Iowa win. I'd bet your life savings on that. LOL
@@ChicoProductions2012 hence why I said be interesting
@@houseofchinn6112 I understand that, but I read it as "it's a possibility." I'm saying "it's not a possibility to even mention it." Oregon and Bama -- yes, those have better odds in this discussion.
Would be great if all the teams lose that Ohio state needs to get in the playoffs and then Michigan ended up losing and keeping them out of it lmao
@@di114n2 just wanna see chaos for the last four team CFP
Alabama beats Georgia then Dawgs are out ! Why ? Simple Georgia has had a cupcake schedule and home field advantage ( Atlanta)
Bama could be out too
yall reach so hard, anything to see the sec out huh lol.
@@detectif1061 it’s a fact brooooooooooooo
bama would have the best resume in the country if they beat georgia do you get it bro?@@rebeccavoodoo2191
I'm a Bama fan but I see no way they get in unless they beat Georgia, Wash beats Oregon to make them a 2 loss team, AND Texas loses the Big 12. Even then it's a tossup if they would jump from 8 to 4. In this scenario Michigan becomes 1, Wash 2, FSU 3, and then maybe Bama 4 but would the committee only drop UGA to 4 and Bama ends up 5 again? The more likely way Bama can get in is the same scenario above but FSU losing as well. In that scenario I think Bama gets in and UGA also gets in and OSU gets stuck at 5.
If Bama beats Georgia and Oregon beats Washington
Bama beats Georgia, they are for sure above Georgia. They need some chaos, but college football is good for some chaos
SEC Champ isn’t getting left out either way
HA! No 3-peat...
If Alabama beats Georgia, FSU and Texas lose and Oregon beata Washington, I think Washington should still get in as the #4 seed. They have 3 Top 25 wins, one of which would be against the Pac 12 Champs, and they have some good wins against teams that were in the Top 25 at the time they played them.
With your scenario, you don't think Ohio State would be in at #4?
@@Montfortracing Nope. Washington has the more impressive resume and made the conference championship game. Washington, or any other team, shouldn't get punished for having to play an extra game against a really good opponent
@@j-rod4600 fair enough. Ohio State's resume is impressive as well. However UW need to ensure they don't get blown out by Oregon, otherwise they'd be out.
what about washingtons resume is impressive? @@j-rod4600
Pac 12 having teams ranked high was a fumble. Everyone besides Washington and Oregon were frauds
Milroe has improved. Improved dramatically? Idk about that. Bama hasn't played an elite D since the texas game. A&M was probably 2nd best and jimbo Jimbod that game. Plus a close one with arky. Yes a nick saban got better through the season, but to say they got significantly better is questionable.
Air Force lost to Army when they were undefeated. Do not forget that
Sick of hearing about Bama and how they get in no matter what 🤮
ALL season long:
"Georgia doesn't play anyone"
weeks pass
"This is Georgia's major test, upset alert?"
Georgia wins, if not dominates.
"Georgia hasn't played any ranked opponents"
Georgia beats 3 ranked opponents in a row, including 1 on the road.
"Those teams aren't playoff caliber teams"
Keep doubting. I swear Kirby's mantra must be "...and I took that personally". They've won 29 consecutive games (including games against Bama, Michigan, and Oregon) for a reason, and it's not solely because of players who are now in the NFL.
As someone who's followed all their games, the telling trend is that they've played their best ball against their best, or perceived toughest opponents. Saturday will be a fight.
Say Bama and Texas win their chips. They would need two of three between Washington, FSU and Michigan to lose for both to get in. But if only one of these teams lose, it should be Texas in
Texas might get in but not over Michigan or Oregon. It depends on fsu and if Georgia wins
Huskies baby
If ALa is the only upset sec is OUT
SEC Champion got left out once and it can happen again just like back in 2003 when the BCS left out 13-0 SEC Champion Auburn so I don’t see why not the CFP definitely can leave them out
They assume #8 Alabama would jump 4 spots over Texas who beat them and Oregon who is #5 and playing #3
Too bad the 12-team playoff isn’t this year.
Players sit out bowl games, you think Marvin Harrison or top talent is gonna play a possibly 3 game playoff? 4 team is perfect, money is ruining college sports
Why is Michigan still playing????? Found quilty !
I think the fate of the playoff all hinges on the SEC title game regardless of the other results. If Bama loses, we will have clarity. If Bama wins we will have chaos. Simple as that.
Bama could win you still have 3 undefeated teams, plus Texas. Head to head
Ohio St has no chance to get in CFP even if all the favs lose, UGA, Mich and UGA would still be ranked ahead and Oregon as a 1loss Pac 12 champ would be ahead, Bama a 1 loss SEC champ would be ahead. Ohio St is out all the scenarios really involve Texas, UGA, Bama. Pac 12 winner is guaranteed in, Mich is in, if UGA loses and FSU loses the conversations shifts to Bama, Texas, UGA which is left out and I think UGA would be on the outside looking in, hard to imaginer given the current rankings a 1loss conf Champ(Texas) is being left out for a 1 loss UGA
I'll play those odds
You can't leave out SEC Championship with only 1 Loss.
Unless the other one loss is Texas
Let's go Ducks.
Based on Rich’s logic, if Michigan had lost to OSU, Michigan would have been 8 at best.
But they didn’t
That's true, and they should be. OSU being at 6th place is a joke.
I’d say 7 behind Oregon Texas before bama
Ohio St should be 8th its pretty simple
But the best team in the world beat Ohio state, that’s their only loss. Everyone else’s loss is worse.
Ohio State is being graded on QB… and FSU is 4? Oregon should be 4
Oregon has the best qb in the nation
You can just tell this guy reeks of cigs
Profile much?
If bama and Texas wins leave Georgia out.
This is so foul. Letting bama in over fsu when fsu was #4… sec was out this year
Texas should be 6 bama 7 osu 8. Theres 7 teams who can prove themselves Saturday, sorry OSU you came up short, again
Rich doesn't want UofM to have to play Ohio State in the CFP. Texas has a worse loss than OSU, they lost to two loss Oklahoma at a neutral site. Georgia, Michigan, Washington and to Rich's horror The Ohio State University.
Texas has better
LSU is the 5th best team in the SEC
If the SEC is as good this year as everyone seems to think they are then 1-5 is more than impressive. Should we just take the bama win over lsu off the resume?
@@maxmaryott1669 I was correcting Feldman. He said LSU was 3rd best.
what 4 teams are better as of today?
you love lsu.
@@detectif1061 how so?
Honestly, amidst the scandal, Michigan should’ve been banned; they have literally been cheating & we don’t even know for how long. I’m a Bama fan & I’m glad we made it but I thought they would leave us out…I feel for FSU but that game was last night was terrible, defense looked good tho. They should’ve BEEN expanded to at least a 6 team playoff; I rmba one year they had multiple undefeated teams & could only pick 2 in the BCS Era smh.
Georgia wins by 2+ TDs.
So dumb. If Alabama wins, they're a different and better team now. So they should get in along with GA. But if they lose, GA is auto-in and the Texas win against Alabama means less. lolololol Joke
yup. Crazy. Texas should actually WANT bama to win for that very reason
@RayMon504 we want Louisville to win and then that game don't matter. We are in if FSU gets bumped.
I'd take Bama (as would Vegas) against Texas in the cfp by double digits.
You’re sniffing that Alabama glue again. I told you about that.@@martinmccormick2166
I wouldn't put fsu in if you're going by the 4 best teams i would go with Georgia, Michigan, Texas if they win & the winner between Washington & Oregon & if Alabama beats Georgia then its Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, & Texas or Washington if they win all those teams are better than fsu
You Mfs just love hating on FSU we going to shut up all the doubters keep hating and they will keep winning
you go by who deserves the spot, understand?
No you don't you go by the 4 best teams period that's what people want to see the best go at it & if you aren't one of the 4 best teams I ain't putting you in so you can get blown out & I look like a fool for putting you in I don't care if you are undefeated
Hey nothing personal but fsu is a top 10 team from the eye test but I think Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Oregon, Texas, would all best fsu by 2 touchdowns fsu is not a top 4 team especially with our Jordan Travis
I hope Georgia kicks the snot out of Bama! Bama should have lost to Auburn but money under the table stopped that upset. Just like FSU not losing to Florida and Miami back on the 11th.
You're not kidding Did you see the blatant push off?
If Georgia wins, Florida State loses and Oregon wins. Oregon should be 3 and Washington 4. Both would have 12-1 records with only losses to each other. That's better than 12-1 Texas who has a loss to Oklahoma. More wins than Ohio State.
Washington has escaped and looked like a very beatable team the last half of the season. They will not get in If they lose Period. There’s a reason they are a +9pt dog
That’s laughable, a team that lost in their conference title getting in over a (presumed) B12 champion Texas?
Gimme a fucking break!
i Could see Georgia Michigan Washington and fsu losing that would be something.
Dude taking about nonsense
Michigan CHEATERS HAVE CHEATED AGAIN 😂
Feldman is a terrible guest. Could you find a more boring, lackluster guest? Doubt it.
This guy is boring
Florida State is not a playoff team without their starting QB. Feldman is way wrong, they do not get in...
So you know more than the guys that do it for a living??
Watch and see. Then you know I schooled you. @@henben4746
