Very possible! It will be a Kraft call and not BB as BB has 2yrs left in him. However, Pats are known for trading down. It will all come down to Bowl, interviews and Combine performances. The sky is the limit for Penix Jr. Teams will be knocking at Bears door for that #1 if he produces at NC game!
We have a 12 team playoff staring next season, which is obviously better. I would have liked to see a 24 team playoff with the initial playoff games starting early December between teams #9 -#24 and the top 8 getting a bye. Then it's a 16 team playoff starting in mid December with no extra byes. It saves fans from waiting for January for significant games. Top players wouldn't excuse themselves from less meaningful games. It also gives those top mid major teams and players a shot at some national exposure. Last year #16 Tulane beat #10 USC in a bowl game 46 - 45. How much more exciting would that have been if it was a playoff game? Caleb Williams did play in that game and he was still phenomenal. Suddenly fans from the top 8 teams are also way more interested in watching these games to see who they are going to match up against in the next round.
The idea that Michigan hasn't been respected is laughable. Just because coaches respect Saban more doesn't mean they have no respect for Michigan, it's just less because they haven't proven it yet. All year long Michigan has been in the top 3 and had been given the benefit of the doubt even though their schedule was one of the weakest among the top ranked teams until they had played Penn St. Not to mention they've been favored in every game this season including Alabama. Washington is the one that hasn't been respected. The push by Michigan, and some in the Media, to try and change the narrative in order to say "it's us against the world" or "we're America's team" is bonkers and isn't fooling anyone with their head screwed on straight.
Sir, even today NOBODY gives us the benefit of doubt. As you said, we were favored in our games simply because we're in the big ten. And Vegas? That was a money move because they knew everyone would vote for bama
100% correct on Alabama getting in on reputation and Sabens pull on the College Football world alone. Michigan deserved winners, absorbing a terrible Special Teams performance and still making a defensove stand!
Always count on Feldman to wear his nicest dirty sneakers on Rich's show. You just know he was getting antsy for a cig break toward the end of the interview.
Texas fan here, Mr. Pennix proved it to me, your O-Line is elite and the loss of RB Johnson won't be that big of a factor. I'm betting on the Huskies to take Michigan OUT!
I am a life-long fan of the Washington Huskies...I think Penix will get his 300+ yards passing, but Michigan will likely run through the sub-standard Husky defense...I anticipate that Michigan will win, and will win by a couple of TDs. It hurts me to say this!...But all season long, we Husky fans have been cringing at the lousy tackling, and the paltry number of sacks by the defensive line. The old maxim that "The best offense, is a strong defense" will become evident. But what a season for the offense...it has made "Air Coryell" look like nothing special!
@@sy12 Washington's secondary is very bad. If you stack the line McCarthy will just dump to a TE, he won't even need to throw deep. I believe Washington will start off with that and then fail badly...Once that happens Michigan will run.
I wouldnt get excited that Michigan could potentially hire Moore.( it would be a huge mistake )that would have the program reeling and recruiting falling off more than it has in recent years. Michigan needs an experiened "name" if Harbaugh leaves.and thats if Harbaugh leaves.
The college football playoff committee still got it wrong. No one ever doubted that Bama would be competitive in the game. However, the same could be said about any number of teams, for example UGA, Ohio State, and yes, Florida State. The fact of the matter is that Florida State would not only have been competitive, they deserved to be there. Bama simply did not. They were given a gift that they didn't deserve because the playoff committee wanted to have the SEC represented because they thought that it would generate more money. So when everyone complained about the FSU players making decisions based on what was best for them personally it was laughable. They just followed the example they were given by the NCAA.
A guy in the stands allegedly looking for signs. And a cheeseburger. I mean it’s not exactly the crime of the century they’re accused of. It’s like a speeding ticket because lots of people doing it, but people are acting like its a drive by shooting. Michigan and every other team should pay their ticket and the NCAA should just do the solution that High School and NFL already figured out and be done with it.
The Huskies went back to Seattle to practice instead of staying in Texas. They have an indoor practice field building. Tight Security. Not taking any chances playing against cheaters. They leave for Texas on Thursday (normal procedure for away games).
I did say that this week if I had a rich asian pop up on my phone I would include my protest regarding his corporate description of what happened between dallas and detroit. So corporate was his explanation that it started miles behind the incident and finished way past it without actually tackling the problem. This was so corporate it was aggregious. I know you're making money rich. And I know you wanna win out split ball games. But sacrificing integrity without going into deep depths of what happened is terrible. After this week I won't be watching you again. Yeah, maybe i'm one old guy in the seventies but i've seen of a niece adoption royal of football. I think it's a shocking dereliction of journalistic duty on your part. Just turning away not protesting.
Tuesday will be interesting if this entire thing crashes down on Rich. It will only get worse when/if the NCAA comes out with their investigation and all the Michigan rumors are true. Will Rich walk back any of his smugness?
Feldman is a BS Expert, trying to get clicks for nothing but BS. He does no real reporting of facts, but spreads rumors, speculation, unsubstantiated and uncorroborated innuendos to titilate bored readers.
IMHO, college football has reached an all time low! Even JJ McCarthy has admitted that they cheated with the comments he made today. This is just very sad!!!
Documented fact that they have been cheating for the last three years!!! How they let them play in this CFP is a disappointment? Just like the Fab Five, they have the best team money can buy. This team has been built by the success that they created when they cheated the last few years!!
Your honor. Yes. I did rob the bank, but, my guys did not steal the money and they did a great job is spending the money to the benefit of many underpriveledged preople. So, we're good. Right? Good luck with that.
I agree that FSU deserved a spot. However, if they wanted to prove the argument, they needed to keep their team together and beat Georgia. The way things played out, they just bolstered the arguments of everyone who said Alabama was the better team.
Whether one agrees that other teams were more deserving, Alabama and Texas are good teams and worthy opponents; thus the Championship game is legitimate. When top seeds lose early in the NCAA tournaments, that doesn't devalue the eventual Champions' legitimacy because they beat 'lesser' opponents.
As a Michigan fan I loved every second of this. Thanks Rich and Go Blue!
JJ was injured in home stretch. Why isn't anyone saying this?? He's not 2 quarterbacks.
The "analysts" have been so wrong about Michigan this year. Wouldn't it be something if they were wrong about Harbaugh leaving??
Love love love Penix Jr. for Pats

20 minutes analyzing Michigan and 2 minutes of Washington analysis.
Rich went to Michigan, gotta expect that on this show lol
Opinion on Feldman - I’ll quote a lyric from Springsteen’s Rosalita - “My machine she’s a dud. Stuck in the mud…” Boring, Predictable, & Biased.
Almost certain Penix is praying or meditating when he sticks his head in the gear locker/cabinet.
Overvaluing a team that has won 6 natties under their coach vs a team that hasn't won anything...hmm? The casual still has logic.
"There is respect for them now." Only took going undefeated to attain this.

Correct, Georgia is one of the 4 best teams in the country and it’s obvious. Alabama, Georgia, Washington and Michigan should’ve been the 4.
