Thank you Kerry for all you do. I visited the warehouse today and was hosted by Raoul. I am truly inspired. I think I can do this! Woooooo once I'm up and running your the first person I will reach out to. Wish me luck on this journey.
Kerry, this is a great video! I really loved how the natural wood made it feel warm. Looks like you are traveling a lot. As much as I love your videos, I would love to know that you are pacing yourself and taking care of yourself! I hope Texas treated you well while you were here.
Texas was awesome! Thank you for asking, I am. Most of the videos im uploading now were done over a 10 day trip and I’ve been home since the 16th of November editing them. I have another trip coming up in a few days but the travel isn’t as long as it seems. Appreciate you checking in! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Cool behind-the-scenes look. @8:03 Would have loved to hear how the state of North Carolina inspects and approves the house in Texas and any plans for other states doing the same. That's a pretty big win for OOD and selling into North Carolina.
I appreciate that you read the comments! I have just a few subscriptions, and yours is my favorite! Great content, put together nicely and entertaining! You have carisma! Enjoy these segments & Im not just fishing for a comment back, but if you did, I’d be flattered beyond comprehension! Thanks for giving me a better understanding of prefab housing-You are rocking it!
I might be going to the open house tomorrow, I’m excited to see the new units. I did a private tour very early this year and they didn’t have much yet for me to see so it would be nice to see more built out models. I’d love to have one!
I really like this mini home and the bathroom glass opacity doesn't bother me, like you wouldn't have that street or driveway facing anyways, as long as you don't get a creepy deer staring at ya at 2am while you're showering, you're fine lol. Bird worries can be sorted with a lil bit of effort and smart storage options... So like obviously with quality there is $ but meh.. The wonderful thing is that there are so many options, more and more companies making stuff and competition and different designs so choice is awesome ❤
interesting design and construction - seems to be built more like a skyscraper with a curtain wall? would love to see architectural details on how they are getting around thermal bridging back to that frame.
Nice to have a welded steel frame ! 👍 Might be nice to have the termite food treated so at least they would eat it slower. Don't they use that green or pink treated lumber in Canada to keep the bugs out ?
The covered concrete floor would be a concern for me. This unit is going to be traveling on the road and experience a lot of jostling which could (it would seem ) easily crack the concrete.
Right. Plate glass gets em esp. if non mirrored flat glass on opposite sides. 😢 We hang silhouettes of owls and cats, and that helps. We close the blinds on one side or the other.
I've picked up on patterns with various websites and videos that prefab are aimed at homeowners and/or landowners - which sucks because I'm neither. I can't rent forever, but I don't know what my options are.
@@pavanbiliyar If you have trustworthy friends and/or family pool your money and buy a property together to build communal housing together. That's the only thing I can think of right now.
lmao😂i'll never get over the price tag on these things like dude over 100k lol for a glorified shipping container lmao dude a compost toilet and a camper water heater some glass mirror tint 150 k lol what a joke people build your own atleast you'll know it's done right and that your not paying someone 100k plus for building a fucking glass box fr
Thank you. Interesting to see how the homes are constructed.
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it
I am really enjoying the series “A Canadian in Texas.” The dude from OOD Was a wealth of information… good video!

they're working on New York State permits currently, in prep for my cabin reservations.

Great video, great info, Kerry ! 👍
Thanks Dale!
It's a very cool looking house. I loved.
Glad you like it

Thanks for watching
I bet they do great in sunny warm climates.
scheduled to receive 2 units of these cabins in the summer! really excited, it's been a long permitting journey!
Awesome!
Nice segment. *You actually read the comments* :D
I do!
@@KerryTarnow I know you do. THat's why it was funny.

Haha the creepy deer can be a problem 🦌
Love it. Love you.
Kerry, can you do a video summarize companies that will ship or built for N California? Thanks
I am asking for the same thing. Let me know if you find out more.
Who wouldn't want some scones on the wall?
Haha

It sounds like their assembly line is pretty efficient. Did he mention how much of a backlog they had ?
He didnt! Dang that would have been a good question
from what they've told me, they're working on about a 6 month schedule
35min! i really like the looks of this!
Nice!
Nice
All the glass is nice and they have a good idea with the way they make the privacy glass in the bathroom. 👍
it would be nice to include prices in these vids. thanks
Great 🎉😊
Thanks 😄
Are these not just manufactured homes? I was always led to believe that they had a very short lifespan.
Is there a protective layer or moisture barrier coating between the OSB flooring and ground?
That leveling concrete must spall when moved?
Great they have homes that are going to victims of the hurricane in North Carolina!!!
The covered concrete floor would be a concern for me. This unit is going to be traveling on the road and experience a lot of jostling which could (it would seem ) easily crack the concrete.
Thx
Appreciate it!
You’re doing pretty good eh mahalo
Website link is dead
If you're going to do much more traveling in Texas it might be a good idea to get a cowboy hat or at least a maga hat. 😉
Haha good idea
It’s a box.
Thanks for watching
hear that local government at 8:30 - "reduces time by 60-70%"
Does that company have any connection with Estonia? The word ÖÖ or ÖÖD is very distinct to Estonia.
It started there.
the tour sounds nice, but would be help if you point your camera to what he is talking about so that we can see it and not only hear
Good idea
That’s gotta be real bad for birds, don’t love that
Right. Plate glass gets em esp. if non mirrored flat glass on opposite sides. 😢 We hang silhouettes of owls and cats, and that helps. We close the blinds on one side or the other.
I think a wavy glass window film may be necessary.😊
seriously who cares! we eat birds. everything is bad for birds. Automobiles power lines, predators. The list goes on and on.
Can’t even imagine the number of dead birds daily! Yikes!
😂😂 scones are something you eat, sconces (pronounced scon sez) are light fixtures 😂😂
Haha
Almost 125K for a 226 sq ft box is NOT affordable.

Appreciate the feedback
350 hours and charges $200k im confused… if the people make $30 an hour its around $10,000 dollars. So whats up with the price tag?
That doesnt include any of their other overhead: materials, factory etc
@ yes… we all know this. All of that might bring cost to $60k at most. And not sure why you are defending them. Do you own the company?
@@johnnyfive-bc was just trying to answer your question. Have a good one
@@KerryTarnow the question was about the price tag… you didn’t answer that at all. Everyone knows the expenses his business has.
Whomever approved the kitchen cabinets has no common sense. Where elese did they make bad decisions
I am interested. Do you know if the units are Title 24 compliant? Thank you!
