Thanks so much the overwhelming support! There's a ton of comments and I'm trying to respond to a lot of them but there is just that - a lot. A lot of people were asking about Supers so I just enabled Super Thanks on here as a new way to support the channel. I'll be more personally answering most of the Super comments that come in the next little while 😀. Also, taking a couple days to relax but I'll have the plans out sometime this week! Thanks for watching, more on the way 🎥
Hey Drew. I’m a local trucker that has been driving by your place all summer seeing you progress a little more with each load I haul. I’ve been very impressed with how nice it’s been looking. This is very inspiring. I also have kids that may never get to move out unless they do something similar. I’ll keep checking it out on my trips by. If you hear the air horns , it’s likely me. Build on!
While I get this build is in response to expensive home prices I am not sure even this moneys out as "inexpensive." This build is currently around $165/square foot (US...I did the conversion). And it is not done yet. There is all the interior stuff, heating/cooling and appliances to add to it. Then consider wherever this ends up it will have to pay to rent or lease some land to sit on and get sewage and electric hookups. For comparison, the median cost per square foot in the Chicago metro area is $258 per square foot. I am betting this will be close (and that is ignoring the cost of labor which...in this case...was mostly "free" because he built it himself...still needed some help). If you had to pay someone to build this the costs would sail past that $258/square foot mark with ease and it is not "cheap" anymore.
Huge respect for making the plans available for free. And for explaining everything instead of just filming yourself doing it. Your videos are actually helpful instead of just something to watch.
I love watching these videos and I personally find the explainations very soothing and relaxing (sick of flashy loud UA-cam videos). Nice slow switch of pace from a long day
My husband and I who are 82 watched the whole building. He has dementia and you held his attention most of the time. Thanks for sharing this. You did a beautiful job.
My wife and I have been building houses ourselves for 30+ years. We include lots of amenities on every build, but one everyone loves is a night-light circuit that is on at dusk and off at dawn. My wife puts small LEDs under the toe-kick of the bathroom cabinets, in the toilet room fans, and along any stairs we have. Its amazing having just enough light in the middle of the night when you get up so that you don't fall on your face in the dark.
Watched this over 3 nights, phenomenal build. I've managed over a billion dollars worth of construction work so far in my career and watching stuff like this makes me smile. Love all the older videos too. Especially the van build
Fantastic job. For anyone that runs across windows like this, they are correct just a different style. Drew installed them correctly and did the flashing outside correctly. What you would do to seal them from the inside is use expanding foam made specifically for doors and windows. It helps insulate the window gaps and expands with less force to keep them from bowing or warping the windows/doors. Lastly if you are thinking about starting a project like this to build your own home, know that it is a lot of work and a lot of headache learning so many new things. It is, however, one of the most rewarding things you could experience and it sets you up extremely well skill and knowledge wise for any future adventures. You can absolutely accomplish this. Hope this helps anyone that runs across a similar issue.
Thank you for not doing a 1 million part series i think the length of this video is perfect i would have even watched it if it was longer because the way you edit and explain the work you’re doing is enjoyable and easy to be entertained! Thank you for posting!
I never would have guessed I would be enthralled by someone building a tiny house for over an hour and a half, but I'm now excited to see the interior being built! Thank you for a perfect amount of detail. This is truly an impressive build.
All I can say is "YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF". Not only creating a tiny house; you also share many great details to help others who may wanna try. I wish I could make my own house. Thanks a lot. You have a new fan :)
This is probably the most comprehensive and detailed tiny home builds that I've seen on UA-cam. A literal start to finish. Love it. Keep up the good work.
@@NotXboxiie The 'criminal housing system' concept I do not understand. Get a piece of land and build a house, or, do something else. Who, specifically, is the criminal?
I prefer these long videos, honestly. Total immersion in the process, and your narration of what I'm watching is always fantastic. Your no fear approach to these builds blows my mind. Looking forward to the interior build, keep up the great work!
My husband is a self taught silversmith and he noticed the same thing you mentioned when trying to learn from UA-cam. Namely, they would skip steps that were EXACTLY what he needed to know. So I LOVE that you're striving to explain ALL the steps. Because, unless someone shows you, you don't know what you don't know. So thanks for doing it right. It's about GD time somebody did!!
Hey Drew, this resonantes so much personally, professionally, and with my partner. We actually purchased land feeling it was a better “foundation” then trying to somehow found $500K amongst all of our life expenses to have a “starter home” here in Colorado. I cannot wait to check out the designs. Appreciate seeing you go from canoes and guitars to this home!! Keep being creative and sharing.
Erik, where are you in Colorado? We’re under contract with some land out by Leadville. I’m about to do a series of UA-cam videos for SketchUp about our design process with the property. You’re right…prices out here are ridiculous!
Erik, why did you not do a video with each part of what you were doing Ie windows, door, etc? I think 30 to 40 minutes are best. You did a great job building your tiny house.👍
You're MY hero, Drew! Great job! GREAT job!! I can't wait to see the inside! I'll save you some time and money. Get a Nature's Head Marine toilet. No black tank required. It only uses peat moss, and enough low voltage juice for a small axial fan for ventilation. Now all you have to capture is grey water. Costs about $1200.00 online. Get it with all an extra urine container and extra exterior turn handle. My ex has 2 on one boat and one in the first boat he rebuilt. Makes life a lot easier. Can't wait for the next video! You deserve a million!! Congratulations!!🎉
personally, i really like the longer videos, whether they're 1 hour or 3 hours :) they're great to watch/listen to when i'm busying my hands doing something else-your narration is calm and easy to follow even while multitasking, but the editing style and way you present the build ensures that i never get bored watching or feel any less entertained even when the video is my sole focus. so i vote for the longer videos, especially for builds like this that are very in-depth and long track :) great work as always!
Awesome job! I built my tiny house (16'x24') on 5 ft concrete piers. It's not going anywhere! So many memories came back while I was watching you! I was 63 when I built it, never used a power tool, and it took 80 days. I had help with the electric and plumbing but have had to redo much of it since it wasn't done correctly. There is nothing like the freedom knowing that you have a solid build and a forever home. Congratulations!
You’re doing what so many people wish they could. I’ve had this idea as well because of how ridiculous houses are. You’re very talented and I can’t wait to see this house finished.
For the scale of what you're building, this length of video makes perfect sense! I love long-format content, especially when it's as information-dense as your content. It's great to see a first-timer tackling a large-scale build, learning and sharing their knowledge along the way. Keep it up!
Honestly Drew, I’ll gladly watch 6 hour long videos made by you. I never feel like these videos are too long. They just never get boring! Everything you make and explain is really interesting. Keep it up!
I'm not sure about 6 hours... I do watch plenty in the 2-3 hour range. I'll often have to add to my watch later list and come back though, depending on timing.
I enjoy having videos of around 4-8 hours (like past livestreams from twitch) on in the background while I work or watch them in batches. I get that it's not for everyone, though! It probably wouldn't work well with most people. @@aztracker1
Hi Drew. A proof that young people can be an inspiration to "old" people like myself: I am now 53 years old and from Western Europe. After a whole life of doing things that I learned to like (and detest) out of necessity or due to circumstances, I have decided after watching so many construction videos to finally do something for the first time in my life that I WANT to do: I signed up for a carpenter degree in a Comunity College in the US, starting next January. My aim? Building my own house. And then build more, aka making a living with it. I will probably make way less then what I made up until now, but if I can choose between making a decent living (aka a good life, but never rich) or being happy ... well, the coice is not difficult for me. So yes, watching you "build stuff" makes my hands unvoluntarily feel for a hammer and nails. Thanks and congrats for building up so many followers. I hope you make a decent living out of your YT presence, people like you deserve it. Again, hard work (and talent) pays.
Definitely a longer video than I’m used to. Took two days to watch but I’m grateful to see the project start to finish. I learned so much and realized that I could be just as capable with the right amount of dedication. Thank you for taking the time to share.
For someone who was not trained in the building trades, you've done a great job. I see less mistakes in your work than in most professional builds I've seen.
As an ex sider I was baffled by why you would go vertical on your siding, but honestly, once you were done, it all made sense. This will hold up super well going down the highway and anywhere you park it. I could point out the places you could have made it easier on yourself, but truthfully, everything you did was great and you provided some of the most well researched rundowns of how to from A-Z I have ever seen. Fantastic job!!
I wouldn't change a thing regarding timescale or editing. The cinematography and the editing are second to none. The detail that you go into is perfect. You show how to do it without making it dull or too time-consuming and people like myself will learn a lot from the videos you do. Genuinely superb work, I can't wait for the next one.
You are the true definition of a creative genius!!!! I’m super impressed. You’re in a band, work full time, built a home, recorded and edited the build, then created a UA-cam channel to upload said build and you own music. sLim, you are DOPE!!!🫡 Congrats on your new crib 👍🏾
Long form content is always better, you can truly find your audience and differentiate between the people who mindlessly scroll and the people who are interested in learning and in the content! I’ve always loved watching 1.5 hour + build videos, it shows how much effort, care, time and energy was spent into making something like this! I wouldn’t mind a 3 hour + version of this video! Keep it up love the content!
You're one of the very few creators that I would gladly have a 6 hour tutorial by. Not only are they beautifully made, they are so, so informative. You have a great way of teaching and explaining. Your videos are THE BEST I've found in your little niche of youtube and that's really saying something because I watch a lot of these videos. Please keep doing what you do. Can't wait to see the next video
Amazing, I am a 74 yr old woman from Brooklyn, NY. and I am totally inspired by inspiration and accomplishment. Watching this video was more interesting than most of the programs on tv. Continued success in all your endeavors.
Hi there, I'm a 77 yr old woman in a predicament like a lot of other seniors. I think this is the answer to our housing problem. Need a community with handicap structure. No loft. Is there anything you can dream up to help. Thanks a bunch Pat
@@patriciaburt1772 Yup...and I'm 70 and a wheelchair user since I was 12. Went to college while working full time nights and weekends. Worked FT after grad school, but never had enough income to afford to buy something. Blessings on you for deciding to build your own. Beautiful job.
@@DrewBuildsStuffagreed! I understand you have to bow to the whim of the algorithm, but long form content has a special feel to it that can't really be replicated with episodic content.
I watched your entire video, and it was exactly what my husband and I needed as we’re building a tiny house on our land. The way you explained each step-from framing to the finishing details-was clear and easy to follow. I really appreciate how you maximized the 11'x30' space on the trailer, and the fact that you filmed everything with just a single camera and tripod was impressive. It made the process feel straightforward and down-to-earth. Thanks for sharing your experience-it’s been a huge help as we work on our own build!
I am amazed by the amount of work you have done. I have watched many videos of construction crews at work, but to do this practically alone is very impressive! And that's not even counting the time it took to film and edit. The length of the video is perfect, in my opinion. 1.5 hours is just enough time to see all the details and not get bored. I repeat, very impressive, I watched it almost without skipping anything!
you'll be amazed how many millennials have the know-how of handy work it's just that nobody actually listens to us (the older generations, our fathers or grandfathers) since they think we don't know shit.
My 4 year old son absolutely loves watching Drew Build Stuff. He inspired me to build the skirting for my 5th wheel instead of contracting it out. Not only did it save me probably $2500 but the feeling of accomplishment afterwards took the cake. Keep doing your thing Drew!
Hey Drew, I just found your video on your home build, and I love what you have done so far! I actually could watch a 6 hour video on you building tiny homes! For someone who doesn’t have a home builders background, you have outdone most builders!! I can’t wait to see what you do for the inside!!👏🏻❤️🏠
@@DrewBuildsStuff to be honest, i would love longer videos, this is BY far the most that you have built, previously doing the solar generator car, which i absolutely adore... and what you said for getting ahead, and doing stuff like in life, thats 10000% accurate and true... people can't even afford anything here in massachusetts. let alone. the rent going sky high... from $1,000USD too, $4,000 dollars. try to get ahead, and one has to pay for the damn bills and whatnot. this truly inspired me to take furthers steps in life. Edit: i also can't wait for you to build the electrical and plumbing stuff. can't wait for that video to drop!
I have so much respect for you. I'm living in a tiny room that used to be for storage at my parents house at the moment because there's no chance in hell of me affording a house. Even renting in my area isn't worth it. I hope someday I can do something like this (probably smaller - I'm a short one so it's easier lol). Thank you for taking us along in your journey :)
I'm in the exact same situation. Slumlords evicted me because the price I was paging was too low (original landlord sold the house, new landlords felt rent was $900 a month cheaper than it should've been). In the end, I ended up moving back across the country and am currently living in my parents basement, it sucks, but it's atleast a roof over my head.
I’ve skimmed the comments, there’s nothing more my limited vocabulary could add to enhance what the hundreds who have already shared their sentiments have said. Your work is beyond worthy of the generous-hearted praise folks are heaping upon you. Keep going, keep growing, keep sharing and oh, by the way, one more vote for LONGER videos. Can’t seem to get enough of this good thing! Thanks, Drew!!
I am a 75 years old grandmère of three boys, and I love Tiny Houses, before it became a things years ago ...I converted a brick cable roof workshop into a self design interior Tiny house , I lived in it for over three years while turning the main fully furnished main 4/2 house into a AirBNB before it also became a popular thing ...all this before the internet WiFi or UA-cam back in mid 90's, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video, thank you for sharing❤👍👏👏🤩🎉
Congrats to you on keeping busy and enjoying restoring old builds! I loved watching every minute of this build and admire those people who opt out of mundane living and attempt to construct their own housing! Bonjour from BC, Sandy&Andy😊😊
❤All I can say is your attention to detail is phenomenal and the reason that the outside of your tiny home sets it above most others that I have seen or once considered living in. I will definitely continue to follow you for the rest of this tiny house adventure…the interior. I would elevate industrial pipe for shelves and steps to a new level. With your imagination the sky is the limit. You are extremely intelligent and have amazing design ability. ❤
Absolute mad respect for you mate. This is the only long format vid that I didn't speed up or FF and watched it in it's entirety. You've done some amazing work on this channel, but this is the benchmark of your skills. Loved the cinematography, the explanations, time-lapses where needed and detailed explanations where required. I reckon this is one the most comprehensive tiny house builds out there, and you've only showcased the exterior. You'll hit a million subs with this series no worries at all. Cheers legend.
I like how different you are compared to most diy youtubers who either give a rough explanation of what there doing or dont say anything at all and you give a really detailed explanation so your audience can also follow along and you making the plans free is just amazing!
Hello Drew, I made sure that my fried chicken, rice & gravy, greens, and corn bread were on the table and hot. Then I turned on the build of your tiny home. All I can say is, I am thoroughly amazed! Good stuff. Thank you showing the world what quality, accountability, humbleness, & steadfastness look like.
You've deserved every single minute of the last hour and 42 minutes of my day. You really bring such incredible quality and enjoyment to your videos and man I just can not get enough. You're making me want to make poor financial decisions in making my own tiny home, hah!
Looking forward to watching this video with my husband! We’re buying land for a home next year and we want a tiny home with a personal touch to live in while we build our dream home. We’ll be using the tiny home as a guest house. I already know this build will be amazing!
That’s crazy beautiful!!! This is the first time watching you do anything and I watched it all the way through! Now I’m going to subscribe and “I am your hero!” Whoohoo!!!
It always amazes me that someone can just build something like this. I love to watch any length videos, and even tho I have only a slight idea on some of the things you are talking about, I enjoy it none-the-less. Beautiful. Your skills are really on point! Thanks for sharing.
So I’m a home inspector in Texas, and besides some minor things here and there, like all houses, this is a very good build! More than any other house I inspect, except in the high end multi million dollar homes, your attention to detail is unmatched! That alone is what will make any “missed” item be null and void because of your excessive backups for everything. Truly very good build, and I have a whole lot of respect for your honesty and also very helpful information!
❤ I'm 83yrs old senior woman and I will never do this but ,I really enjoyed all the work and energy that you put in this home, fantastic ,enjoy your life in your home, amazing, I know nothing of much work it took you to do this but I was not bored at all. Blessings
Enjoyed every minute extremely impressive really appreciate the long format I'm a disabled veteran recovering from some wounds stuck in a bed... your vids keep my mind someplace else and it's so satisfying to see the big step by little steps until completion! Thanx
I just love everything about your videos. The detailed commentary on the construction steps, the background music, the length of the videos, the attention to detail... Unfortunately, it's not quite possible to do such projects here, but I'm all the more happy when I see these videos of your projects! Keep up the good work! Grüße aus Deutschland. Du lebst meinen Traum 😌👌🏽
I wish you would understand just how much your work helps me mentally. Watching this inspires me a lot and immediately brings out my work-loving side that I have since I was a little kid, instead of me just being unmotivated all day, doing nothing. I can't thank you enough for it! Also much respect for your ideas, works and builds! This house looks like a beautiful modern virtual house in a virtual social game (talking 'bout VRChat) but in real life. Literally a dream!
Hey Drew, I just watched all your video. I’m a carpenter by trade and I must say you did an awesome job start to finish. I’m kinda on the other end of the spectrum. My kids are in college and the wife and I are in a home that’s a lot bigger than we need. I’m leaning towards a tiny house instead of when I sell mine paying four times more than I paid for mine. Thanks for the tips and tricks.
Honestly probably wouldn't even notice if this was 6 hours long, this 1:40 flew by. I found your channel when you made the doggo house and I've loved everything you've made so far. It's a shame that the UK is too dense and crowded, i'd love to build something like this and just move around, unfortunately our country doesn't really allow for it. Excellent work and i'm looking forward to the inside!
This could not be cooler. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is first rate. As someone who has only a small amount of handiness, it’s an inspiration to learn more and tackle new projects. Thanks for the time and effort you put into this project and this video!
Great craftsmanship in this build. No corners cut, and even focusing on super small details most people would not pay attention to. Great progress, I’m stoked to see the interior when finished!
I watched the entire 1 1/2 hour, and it was great!. I've built homes and adapted a school into condos, but watching you is still a learning experience. I am fascinated with small home design. You are doing "the state of the art" for homes that are affordable and attractive. Great job.
Your builds are so clean and precise!! This video didn’t seem too long for all you did! You didn’t use too many unnecessary words or over embellish. I enjoyed watching this build😊
Drew, this was a looong video. I am kinda old (72) so my attention span can be pretty short. I watched this video in its entirety in one setting. I really appreciate the amount of detail you went into. I have been intrigued by tiny houses for a long time. At this age, I probably won’t build one but it’s nice to get a detailed look at the process. Thanks for a great video. I have subscribed and am looking forward to seeing you finish out the interior. PS my wife and I built (finished) our 1300sqft home in 1984. We still live in it.
What an amazing journey, an absolute pleasure to watch. I'm a joiner/carpenter for near on 40 years Drew and your skill set is as someone else has commented most seen in older tradesmen. You have put numerous so called tradesmen to shame that I know. 👍🏻👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
First of all I wish you a happy, healthy and long life. I stumbled across your video and thought maybe I could get 3 or 4 minutes in but I was hooked and watched it straight through. You are an incredible young man that any parent would be so proud to have as a son. I learned so much about construction. If my tiny home had been built under your supervision I would have never sold it. The attention to detail and your passion for getting it executed so beautifully is amazing. I look forward to watching the interior finish out. Thank you for going the extra mile to explain everything you were doing. Well done!
Hi Drew, Ive been in the constuction business for over 30 years and I have to tell you that I am way beyond impressed with your skills. You say you dont have much experience but it dose not show. You should be very proud of yourself for a job well done!! Im also impressed with your music! Best of luck to you, Mike
I never watched a DIY video as long as this. To be honest, I didn't think I would watch it all. Mate, I watched every second of it. You have done such a great job on this, you make me want to live in one exactly like it. In the UK, average house prices are almost above £300,000, so something like this would be so cool. AWESOME!
I watched again last night and thought of some points to mention for the inside. - You might consider stairs to the loft instead of a ladder. I've seen tiny homes that put drawers or cabinets in the stairs for storage. If high enough, a small stackable washer and dryer combo might work. Also, going down stairs instead of a ladder when sick would be easier. - A similar design to your couch/bed in the camper van would provide storage for the living area. - A fold down table on a wall would save walking room when not in use and could double as a dining and office surface. - A countertop toaster oven can do most anything a full size oven can and could be put in a cabinet overhead to save room. - If you go for a free standing bathroom sink instead of a vanity, you might consider niches or shelves with baskets for towels and extra bathroom products. I'm sure you've thought of these, but I thought I'd go ahead and mention them. Again, can't wait to see the inside! Best wishes!
I second the stairs. I would also be sure I could make a bed and/or sleep on the main floor if illness or an injury made it impossible to climb a ladder or stairs.
Whether your videos are half hour or 6hr long makes no difference to me, it's the fact that you take the time to explain everything you do and why you do it, that I enjoy, keep up the vids and don't change.
Don't be shy about making longer format videos! I love your attention to detail and how you cover absolutely everything and I have no issue pausing a video and resuming it the next day. We don't usually consume most books in one sitting, not sure why we feel we have to with videos
Hey drew! This is great! I just applied for a carpentry apprenticeship program and my wife and I are in love with Tiny homes. Your story is relatable to us where we just can’t afford the usual “American home”. I pray that I will get into the carpentry program and to one day build my wife and I and hopefully future kids a beautiful dream home!
I fell asleep watching another video and woke up to this and it kept my full attention the entire time. As someone with ADHD that says a lot. I’m amazed by this and can’t wait to start the next video. Liked and subscribed!!
I'm blown away by your creativity and ingenuity, Drew! Your videos are always so inspiring, and I love seeing the process you go through to bring your ideas to life. You have such a knack for taking simple materials and turning them into something truly amazing. I'm especially impressed by your attention to detail and your commitment to quality. You can tell that you put your heart and soul into every project. I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I've learned so much from you. You've taught me the importance of patience, perseverance, and a willingness to experiment. You've also shown me that it's possible to achieve anything if you set your mind to it. Thank you for sharing your passion with the world, Drew. You're a true inspiration!
The amount of time, effort and skill you have poured into both building your house and even more so in making this video (which could have been boring otherwise, but it's not) is astounding! I didn't imagine I'd spend a movie's worth of time today watching someone build a tiny house. You've made the video not only informative but entertaining enough that it doesn't really get dreadfully boring! Great work! I'm looking forward to your video about the interior, which I would guess would be even more interesting!
Hi Drew. I'm not building a tiny on wheels, but I can take a lot from watching this video to build tiny cabins on my bush block in Tasmania, Australia. I am always impressed with the skill required for quality finishes, and you have not let me down. For a first-time build, your detailing is truly impressive. I am a 60-year-old woman with about the same skill level as you began with, but I have a lot of experience with hand and power tools, and I will definitely be referencing your content. You asked for feedback regarding the length of the video, and for me, it was a no-brainer. I was completely hooked and didn't even realise I had been watching for so long. I found the information and how you explained everything enthralling. Thanks so much for your effort. I appreciate your generosity and am grateful for the knowledge.
I'm currently building out a van to live in, I started out having no experience building but I've learned so much. Your videos have been a huge inspiration to me and I hope someday to be able to do something like this. Love the longer videos as I like to have them on in the background when I'm working on my van, thanks for all your hard work to bring us these wonderful videos, cheers! 🥂

That’s awesome!!

These longer videos are perfect! Your editing and production style keeps it from getting boring but still packed with tons of info!!
I like the sound design. You get to feel whats going on, without the actual (e.g.) saw noise
Did you mean Strassburger windows and doors. They forgot my window flanges too.
I'm enjoying the longer videos too.
Longer the better as far as i'm concerned.
i agree
Watched this over 3 nights, phenomenal build. I've managed over a billion dollars worth of construction work so far in my career and watching stuff like this makes me smile. Love all the older videos too. Especially the van build
Thank you, appreciate it!
man drew likes his viewers now thats a good person!
I am not sure if it is a problem I watched all of this without a single break 😭
You, sir, are one of the handful of creators on UA-cam that I would easily dedicate 2 hours to. This is incredible!
I’ve been in construction just over 11 yrs. This is absolutely incredible to watch someone go beyond their limits.
what limits? youre young, you could still do this, and since you have connections with the trades, materials will be easy to acquire
@@WayneStonedhe said their limits not his
it seems he knows what he is doing. I would work with him.
Thank you for not doing a 1 million part series i think the length of this video is perfect i would have even watched it if it was longer because the way you edit and explain the work you’re doing is enjoyable and easy to be entertained! Thank you for posting!
Thanks for watching!!!
I never would have guessed I would be enthralled by someone building a tiny house for over an hour and a half, but I'm now excited to see the interior being built! Thank you for a perfect amount of detail. This is truly an impressive build.
Glad you enjoyed it!! 🙂
Nice
All I can say is "YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF". Not only creating a tiny house; you also share many great details to help others who may wanna try.
I wish I could make my own house. Thanks a lot. You have a new fan :)
This is probably the most comprehensive and detailed tiny home builds that I've seen on UA-cam. A literal start to finish. Love it. Keep up the good work.
i couldn't even call it a tiny home... i call it... The singularity... that's how deep it is to me... he said it himself... criminal housing system.
@@NotXboxiie The 'criminal housing system' concept I do not understand. Get a piece of land and build a house, or, do something else. Who, specifically, is the criminal?
@@wmc9722some validity to this but buying land isnt always an option unless you want to commute 1.5 hours each way to the office.
I'm not only insanely impressed by your construction skills, but also by your thoughtfulness with the filming process. Beautiful job all around!

You did amazing job on your tiny house it looks amazing love the color combination
And with the tap to rewind feature, if you happen to be looking away and hear a really intriguing part you can see it again really easily.
I enjoy the longer videos, the music and the story telling just goes hand in hand as well as your great sense of humor! 😆😆
Thanks for watching! 👍
@@aztracker1i think 2 hours or less is great. its feature film length, it keeps your attention but its its a satisfying amount of time
Hi Drew. A proof that young people can be an inspiration to "old" people like myself:
I am now 53 years old and from Western Europe.
I enjoyed every minute of this video! I can’t wait to see the next installment. Beautiful house!
This is hands down one of the best DIY videos on all of UA-cam. Thank you so much for taking us with you on this journey!
Thanks for watching!!!!
Tremendous build. Length doesn't matter, if you have this quality it can be 100 hours!
thats for damn sure tbh!
and they can be 15 minutes were eating whatever youre cooking.
I agree 100%
That black, white, and cedar combo is stellar. Love the long video format, amazing job so far, looking forward to the next one.
Glad to hear it!!
True sir
You're one of the very few creators that I would gladly have a 6 hour tutorial by. Not only are they beautifully made, they are so, so informative. You have a great way of teaching and explaining. Your videos are THE BEST I've found in your little niche of youtube and that's really saying something because I watch a lot of these videos. Please keep doing what you do. Can't wait to see the next video
I did it. I’m fascinated with watching nothing turn into a beautiful architectural piece. This truly is a work of art.
I don’t think I’ve ever watched an entire UA-cam video this long. Super dope to watch! Keep them coming. Huge fan!!
Thanks for watching! The videos keep getting longer, might have to start breaking them up
@@DrewBuildsStuffplease don't break them up. Love the long videos.
@@DrewBuildsStuffagreed! I understand you have to bow to the whim of the algorithm, but long form content has a special feel to it that can't really be replicated with episodic content.
Do you build for others?
I really appreciate all the time you spent on this...not only to build but all the editing!
I'm 71 and still enjoy watching people build!
I love the longer format videos! Can’t wait to see the finished inside of the house! Hope it’s 6 hours long.
The longest I ever watched was 3 trucking hours long I ain’t watching something 6 hours long. Keep it near the 90 minute range (1 hour and 30 minutes)
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed watching it, that was always my goal to produce top quality content that doesn’t skip on the details!
You tend to see this kind of mechanical capability is someone much older. Drew is an exceptional fellow.
Drew is over 28 years old
you'll be amazed how many millennials have the know-how of handy work it's just that nobody actually listens to us (the older generations, our fathers or grandfathers) since they think we don't know shit.

I love the way he describes and explaines everything. And gotta say that the end result looks absolutely awesome. Great work Drew.
Thank you! I don’t know that I’ll ever tackle a 6 hour video, would take me a month just to edit haha
Hey Drew, just make the cuts longer 😂 just kidding, but yeah I really dig longer videos
With dictators like Biden and Justin Trudeau it will only get worse as they find ways to regulate and tax you for breathing.

Watched the whole thing over 2 days, and was devastated when I realized it was just the exterior. Can’t wait for the rest! Great build! 🔨🏠
It does say in the title full exterior build, but at least it will give you another video to watch when the interior is done 😊
I know it does, I didn’t see that at first. He did earn another follower though 🥳
I just love everything about your videos. The detailed commentary on the construction steps, the background music, the length of the videos, the attention to detail... Unfortunately, it's not quite possible to do such projects here, but I'm all the more happy when I see these videos of your projects! Keep up the good work!

I watched the whole build. i didnt want to at the start but i had to see every step. Thank you so much! You should be proud of yourself.
Great craftsmanship in this build. No corners cut, and even focusing on super small details most people would not pay attention to. Great progress, I’m stoked to see the interior when finished!
Even the corners he did cut are beautiful 😂
I watched the entire 1 1/2 hour, and it was great!. I've built homes and adapted a school into condos, but watching you is still a learning experience. I am fascinated with small home design. You are doing "the state of the art" for homes that are affordable and attractive. Great job.
Your builds are so clean and precise!! This video didn’t seem too long for all you did! You didn’t use too many unnecessary words or over embellish. I enjoyed watching this build😊
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I like how the builds continue to grow in not only size, but sophistication as your channel does. This is awesome man, wishing you all the best!
I appreciate that!
What an amazing journey, an absolute pleasure to watch. I'm a joiner/carpenter for near on 40 years Drew and your skill set is as someone else has commented most seen in older tradesmen. You have put numerous so called tradesmen to shame that I know. 👍🏻👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻
I did watched it man... I envy you.. I love the build and enjoyed watching it.
AWESOME!
Just wanted to say you did really great
I watched again last night and thought of some points to mention for the inside.
I like it really more when they are long! So great
Hey thanks so much! Simple materials can make beautiful things. Most of this house came from hardware stores
I’m a 79 year old Nana and watched this entire exterior build. What a beautiful job you did.
Your are an example of never giving up love your ideas man ❤
I appreciate your generosity and am grateful for the knowledge.
awe... you're precious..
Thanks for watching, good luck with the van build! 🙂
Man, i have watched lots of DIY videos - most of them who has huge subscriber count. I watch them to learn something. But whenever i watch your content it makes me feel relax and peace although its not in that genre. like an interesting movie. Yours might be the only DIY channel whose videos i watched repeatedly. i wish there were more videos of yours.

I am so glad you did not make this video a 15 parts series ! Love the longer video, especially when it’s from you !
This is absolutely incredible to watch, perfect
It doesn't take a hero to watch this entire video. You're the hero. This little house is a masterpiece! And you're a fellow Canadian.
