- In this video I'll show you show to solve the problem of remarketing audiences not populating in Google ads. Sometimes when you look at your remarketing or retargeting campaigns in Google ads they give a too small to serve error. I'll be creating a remarketing audience in Google analytics 4 and show you how to import it into Google ads.

Hey there guys we are working on a updated video to this one, as it has been brough to my attention that Google optimize sharing is now unavailable in the Google ads dashboard. The best thing you can do right now if you're stuck is to run a performance max campaign as those come with built in remarketing capabilities (No extra setup needed).

Hello, great video man, liked it a lot because it was detailed! I have one question tho, the audience I have created in GA4 is getting populated way quicker than the same one in Google ADS. To be more specific the audience in Google ADS hasn't changed at all for a while now, where as the same one in GA4 is constantly getting populated. Could this be a synchronization problem between the 2 platforms, or there may be other factors involved? Thank you in advance!
I cant say for sure but that definitely sounds like a sync issue to me.
I'm curious if you found any solution of this problem? I have the same issue with my audiences in a few different accounts, Support is useless, and I can't figure out what causes this and how to fix..
@@user-xn9ws3bb7h My audiences actually started to populate as time passed, but my advice would to check if you have connected the 2 platforms successfully. To do that, there are a lot of short video tutorials that will show each step. These videos helped me a lot
Hi @NeptuneDesign, great and super helpful amazing content! Just a quick query though, i'd like to ask how because im a bit stuck, ive followed all throughout the process but when going thru in my "Tools & Settings > Audience manager > " the remarketing audience ive created in my G4 isnt showing up no matter how multiple times ive refreshed both G analytics and my google ads manager. What troubleshooting should i take inorder my remarketing shows up? Thanks!

Are you sure that your GA4 account is properly linked to your GAds account? It needs to be activated under linked account.

@@margotholmgren9359 Its now showing up, Finally! Its the populating is whats concerning me. Usually it takes how many hours after launching the ad the populating shows up? A day or two?

But How to create for UA-cam Audience.... I have the same issue with UA-cam Remarketing list also... its not populating
I ran a UA-cam Video Ad, and created Remarketing Audience list over that same video in Google Audience manager, but the audience manager is not populating any numbers, I waited for around 7 days so that Remarketing audience list may get updated but its showing only 960 members in last 540days and zero members in last 30days list, where as I got more than 4000views in last 7 days on that same video Ad.

Can we get in Google Ads audiences?
Even though the audience is extremely close to reality on Google Analytics, the Google Ads audience does not feed at all accordingly...
There will always be some percentage loss, from my own campaigns I'd say about 20% lost of total traffic combined (Facebook, Organic). However what matters most to me is that I'm retargeting all my website traffic as only about 5% will convert on first time visit. Remarketing dramatically lowers my CPA.
Audience Manager won't load for me in Google Ads. Using Ads manager account with the loaded account.
I do not have the option to turn on Google Optimize Sharing. Any ideas where it is?

Hey there you probably have a problem with the way your ads are setup. I can talk you through what you need to do to correct this, but if it says closed audience you will not be able to run remarketing ads. My GA4 audiences in google shows 0 and the message "not qualified"
Okay so this one is easy, you need to let your audiences build before you can qualify to run Google remarketing ads, because if you have 10 people coming to your website in past 30 days... showing ads to only those 10 people could be quite overwhelming. To protect against this Google has set into place minimum audience sizes, to see their minimum requirements you can check out this help article support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2472738?hl=en

I have thousands of people in Google Analytics but even the name doesn't show up in Google Ads.

You need to use a domain that you own... for example you can not use facebook.com or instagram.com, it must be a domain that you own for example neptunedesign.com or yourdomain.com... hope this answer helps you

Yup, I'm convinced they are actively working against us trying to build retargeting audiences by ourselves, trying to funnel us into PMAx instead.
