I've been modding Skyrim for a while and from my experience, I'd say that this is sort of a lazy, but simple way to mod the game. It's obviously for people who have never modded before, but it is very messy. I mean, why would you put your mods on desktop? It's best to create folders in a purposeful and organised manner. I recommend you watch some guides for modding Skyrim (since it's the most modded game out there, it'll have helpful guides) just to understand how exactly it works, and then coming back to this one in case you can't translate the videos to Hogwarts Legacy

so the day has come for me to actually use vortex never saw any benifits using it since most games i play and mod are provided with a Modmanager from the community i still have some issues with the Merger but i guess this is a trail and error prozess :p would be awesome if we had a Manager that does this on its own.

Anytime I mod a new game I usually look up a video just to see if I’ll be told to not use Vortex, which is usually the case and to see if there’s any mods that have to be installed in any special kind of way like script extenders or animation frameworks. Kind of interesting when people say to actually use Vortex though.
my mod staging folder wont let me use thge suggested folder and when i try to change it either says "destination folder must be empty" i have no clue what im doing wrong
So I added some mods manually by making the ~mods folder and placing the files in there. Everything is working fine, but it looks kinda messy, so I have now downloaded the extension in Vortex to manage everything in there. I was hoping it would find all the stuff I've done and kinda pick it up but that doesn't seem to be the case. Am I safe to just delete my ~mods folder and start doing stuff through Vortex, or do I have to like completely reinstall the game or something?
I want to download a mod that unlocks all spells but when I downloaded it on vortex and launched the game, it didn't work. Either there is something wrong or its because I have just started the game. Plz someone help.
Anyone knows how to edit mods? There a 2 face mods I really like but they clash with each other where both uses face 14. Any ways to change one of the mods to either face 13 or 15?
So if I'm using the aparate mod loader do I need to turn them on myself or does it do that naturally for every mod in the mods folder cause some work for me but I have no real way of knowing if all do because I can't notice it in game
I followed the merging part to the letter. I merged both no cooldowns and unlocked spells and its still not working ingame. What am i doing wrong? Plz help!! 🙏🏻

Check each mod's page to see uninstall guides. If they all mention just deleting the mod file, then yes you're fine.
