Thank you for visiting our beautiful city and for capturing the authentic and honest charm of Twerton Park. Community owned and run almost entirely by volunteers. The street with the houses you mention behind the stadium is literally called Freeview Road. Welcome back any time ⚫️⚪️
Hi Josh, this is Andrea, I have been one of your SSLazio followers since you started coming to Rome to attend SSLAZIO soccer matches. And despite no being English 🏴 I absolutely look up to you and I go crazy for your unique videos everywhere across Europe but especially when you come back to Rome. If you do not mind I would like to ask you to arrange visiting the Gillingham football club, and attend one match explaining people about the story of this old and fantastic football club in the UK. One of my best friends in the Uk supports Gillingham and has just recently started arranging a podcast as he absolutely loves his club, and I would really appreciate you supporting him with your presence at the 🍵 Stadium one day Thanks and sorry for bothering Andrea
Josh, thank you so much for visiting us at Twerton Park (aka Bath Spa Uni stadium). You have absolutely nailed what Bath City is all about. We're "Old School" and proud of it! Come back and see us again any time you like.
Thank you for visiting and highlighting my local club in such a great way. Have always enjoyed your videos and never thought you’d go there. But I am glad you did, and it sounds like you are glad you did too!
Proper old school football ground. Been there many times watch Bath and Bristol Rovers. Big crowds when Rovers played Liverpool there in the FA cup and when Rovers beat Bristol City to win promotion from old Division 3 back in the 80s
For a aesthetically pleasing city like Bath, it's got two very poor stadiums. It's understandable that Bath City has a terrible stadium as they're non league but Bath Rugby as the top flight team should be playing in a more modern/respectable stadium.
As a Barnet fan could you come to the Hive. We was founded in 1888, Barnet moved there in 2013. It’s is used for an international base of training for many countries such and Germany and Italy when playing in the uk as it is close to Wembley and Barnet are currently top of the national league as of this comment
Nice video and nice complements about our city and local club.I also enjoyed your put down of the rugby club, I can assure you a lot of us locals feel the same way! This is a guess on my part but Bath City nurtured Tony Book (a local) who followed Malcolm Alison to Manchester City and became a legend and so I'm wondering if the seats donation might be related to him?
It's such a good stadium, love our visits there with my boy. Where you were in the 2nd half does get segregated for more intense games like local derbies if they need to
Great stadium, definitely one of my favourites, have been there quite a few times and seen three different clubs as the home team...Bristol Rovers before they moved to the Mem, Team Bath when they were still on the rise before the University pulled the plug on them and finally Bath City.
Bad memories of thjs place - I travelled down from Morecambe and we lost 1-0 - that was Conference, but since then we have progressed into the EFL.Quaint old school type of ground. Would have liked to have seen some of Bath but when you travel so far by coach there is often little time to be a tourist.
12.35 the connection with Manchester City goes back to the 60s when malcolm Allison was manager of bath he went to man city as manager and took Tony book as his captain they won the fa Cup in there first season bath was a great team at the time
Don’t forget Twerton Park hoisted League football 🥅⚽️ in the 80’s when Bristol Rovers played there when Eastvile had closed, I’ve seen Sheffield United play there 14th January 1989, 1-1 draw attendance 6,623
The seats from man city are largely due to the Book family connections. Tony played for both clubs & younger brother Kim was 1 of Baths best ever keepers, hence the strong bond between the clubs. The houses you mention over looking the popular side terrace are appropriately named , free view road.
City add a touch of Maine Road history to Twerton Park (26/11/04) As part of the recent deal to allow Team Bath to play at Twerton Park, City have obtained 400 new seats that they are to install in the Main Stand to replace a number of broken or damaged ones. The seats come from Manchester City’s former ground Maine Road after they were bought by Team Bath’s director of sport, and Citizens fan, Ged Roddy but never used at their University home. The seats are (obviously!) sky blue in colour and will be installed in a block rather than dotted amongst the existing black and white seats.
Born and bred in Bath but housing costs led to my move away . Wondered as a kid why so many tourists came , but as I travelled around the country watching football I soon realised . Currently live in Warwick and work in the shit hole known as Birmingham . Oh to be a kid again.

Great video of our wonderful city, and historic football club. Glad you enjoyed it so much.
About Maine Road with the seats yeah, at Gillingham they have the old man city scoreboards
Bury founded in 1885, won the FA cup twice, including by the biggest winning margin. Play in their original stadium and we refused to die.
Nice to see a proper old school team in the national league in a city full of history. Good one, FJ!
Want to try Newmarket FC next?
The amount of times he said old school 😂😂😂😂

I think the blue seats were bought by Team Bath (so basically donated by the taxpayer) when they shared TP for a couple of seasons.
@christopher1956 way older than that
