Throwing my 2 cents in here - I'm a long time ESO player but always as a tank or healer. I'm garbage at dps but this build has made me *less* garbage. I primarily do PUG 4 person dungeons - this build is perfect for that. It's really fun to play, and my smooth brain can nearly keep up with it's rotation. Great work!
Bearin mind the written guide is to suppliment the video not replace it. All the information you need is in the video but the guide is there as a checklist/reminder of some of the basics. ENJOY! NOTE: Slight miss wording in the video but a benefit none the less, YES the squid arms are buffed by the set in the gear section as it is a channel ;)
i love the arcanist so much honestly... like rn im making a tank build centered around throwing out as many possible buffs and debuffs as possible using the sustain of the arcanist to basically be the ULTIMATE support for the group... like i will say i have settled on using kynmarchers for my build with im thinking of using serpent's disdain and or possible jorvulds as the major options im looking at with jorvulds tho isnt seeming like it will be too useful with how many of the buffs are only like 5 to 10 seconds ones meaning the bonus would be a few seconds per buff at most which without having played a maxed out arcanist yet still is unclear to me as to whether that would be worth it with how much sustain the arcanist has and the uptime on those abilites so long as you have the sustain with apocryphal knowledge that gives you and group members around you major intellect, endurance, and fortitude seems like it would be more useful to a group setting especially with the minor intellect, endurance, and fortitude you already give out easily.
on top of that part of me also is thinking of using cowards gear plus fuan larks as well as kynmarchers or serpents disdain tho i feel like giving up being able to use nunatak as the builds monster set would be too dmging UNLESS you were playing with a group that doesnt do its dmg through crits but just through buffs like berserk and brutality.
honestly the amount of things serpents disdain can boost in duration is really awesome especially since its a flat 16 extra seconds to any debuff applied to an enemy which almost feels designed 100% for the arcanist and works so good to boost the hell outta kynmarcher's and nunatak to make them have basically a 100% uptime..........
I know this will be unpopular opinion but pillar of nirn is pretty much single target which is great for bosses but doesn't do much for you when you're beaming through 10 mobs in a line. Personally I actually prefer to run warmaiden or runecarvers with deadly. The thing about Rune Carver is that it had gotten nerfed and dismissed so people stopped testing it but that all happened before Arcanist came out and I think it just got forgotten about. It actually does quite well on arcanist imo. Both of those sets also produce great numbers. I highly recommend warmaiden for anybody that is struggling getting Nirn as you can farm it easily solo in the vvardenfell public dungeon
@MeSiah1S personally I preferred War Maiden. It gives you more damage against everything vs even more damage vs 1 thing. Also you can use War Maiden in no proc pvp, so there's that too. Both sets work very well, just do whatever you feel like. There's no wrong answer
Just got back from a couple of dungeons with this build. Good fun and easy to do. Things just melt. Although.. I feel a little childish with the green beam. Keep wanting to say "Don't cross the streams!!" - Venkman
I used this build to get the Spirit Slayer Trifecta a few weeks ago. However, I used the lover mundus and went with parse food. Any other content, I use it as directed, even hardmode trials. It's a very easy and fun build.
4:13 are you sure about that? I thought the same but I’ve noticed sometimes I only get 1 crux so I assumed there was an ICD that disables allowing more than 1 crux to be built per second. There’s been lots of times I’ve used runeblades while having 0 crux and this buff up, and I’ve only generated 1 crux instead of 2 like I thought I would, which is the reason for my assumption.
Yes it works. that is why it is in the video ; ) Even demonstrated in the rotation section. Sometimes visually the crux don't always appear around the player, but they are stacked correctly in the buff timers.
@@xynodegaming Thanks for clarifying that. I didn’t think about the visual aspect being separate from the buff timer. That makes more sense. Appreciate the detail in this guide. :-)
Messes with timing and survival a lot hence the decision made for that morph. PLUS in content the longer the beam the more likely you are to interrupt it with mechanics (blocks/dodges/interrupts/etc). Went through many different scenarios to weigh up the differences and the choice in the video out weighed every time in actual content vs dummy number humping :)
in case someone still stumbles upon this: deadly set is great, but dont get the daggers, too expensive. you can either get the bow or any other pieces to get the full set bonus. i prefer a lightning staff from another set and got two more cheap armor pieces. unless you minmax in endgame staff is just as good as dual daggers, same with bow. and its a lot cheaper for beginners.
I was planning on using deadly rune Carver Jewls and inferno staff and oaken.. idk if itll all work but hopefully gonna push the dps with a cat and the dots
Dark elf is great - I use this build (except I replaced Nirn with Orders wrath) and I love it with the dark elf. Plus the flame resistance is amazing since I die a lot 😂
Am I doing something wrong with this setup? I can't even kill the 2nd boss on vet Selene's Web compared to completing the whole dungeon with my Deadly/Orders Wrath Magicka setup. Also my penetration and health is 2k less. Critical chance is 48% and stamina is 4k less. I'm just very confused with a lot of builds using this set up but I'm getting no where near the stats and I die almost instantly in vet dungeons.
Question: I have a lot of deadly strike armor pieces, and pillar of nirn jewelry . Which is basically the reverse of what you have in your build. Does it matter what goes where as long as it’s the same complete sets and I have all the right enchantments/traits?
For one bar, Oakensoul is really your only option. But numbers people are hitting with it are nowhere near as high as you can get with the Amulet and two bars. So this build is about novelty, ease of use, and survivability, not high DPS. With the Amulet and Coral Riptide+Deadly I'm hitting over 100k and people I know are hitting well over 120k. If anyone is hitting 90k on this build they are not speaking up. People are quoting 70s and low 80s. For content I'm running the Amulet, Ansuul's, and Deadly, so I don't have to play the Coral minigame.
I run basically the same build as Mag, i use the 5 second weapon buff that gives sustain back, and I use Structured Entropy instead of Arcanists Rune. I don’t have any sustain issues, with the heals from Entropy and the shields you are almost unkillable
I know it is only dummy humping but just hit my first 82k parse, it will only get better when i get better with the rotation. Dude well done on this build. It is awesome
Yup! The shoulder is the option because of accessibility. Unlocking a box with a key is far easier than a veteran dungeon for a vast proportion of the community. However, if you have the helm or want to go get it, the stats(resists etc) are exactly the same for a shoulder as they are for a helm. They are identical. So long as your traits and glyphs are correct, the result will be identical :)
What kind of damage are you getting with this build? If you mentioned it, I missed it sorry. DPS is important when comparing builds to pursue, even if not everyone will hit those same numbers.
@@kalender4176 I think there's too much hate for Oakensoul. Yes, it's easier, and yes you can hit harder with two bar builds. But the resistances are hard to beat so survivability is great. I do more damage when I'm alive.
I am running this same basic build but with a bow with poison injection instead of daggers with cloak for range play...and can switch over to endless hail for AOE and trash pulls....

Why Inspired Scholarship and not Recuperative Treatise? It also regenerates recourses. What's the difference between this 3 sec and 5 sec "pulse"?
How do you farm Deadly Strike in Cyrodiil? Is it just a case of doing anchors & delves?
You can buy them with alliance points from Bruma's merchant if it is occupied by your alliance. It's like 12K AP a piece
These upcoming 43 changes to Flail have me very worried about this legendary build. How will we make up for the execute loss of dps?
Sorry for a stupid question but why use dual wielding daggers when you dont use any melee damage at all? Or am i missing something ?

Would Dagons be more beneficial than pillar of nirn?
"Bible-Beam" 😂
I'm enjoying this class but the beam is a bit janky and you should be able to turn off aim assist, it also preforms averagely in pvp with hit box
You can turn off aim assist in settings
Pretty sure Deadly does buff Squid arms
Actually technically it should since it had a channel time.
What is the dps ?
