ya know im curious to see SOMEONE perhaps make a pure bone spells necro and more than that with how intersting bone shield is if i remember right with its shield to allies as well as yourself AND necro totally suiting a ice staff theme and build with it being primarily magicka focused, i would LOVE to see a dmg shield double ice staff necro tank using all bone spells like bone totem and grave grasp as well as maybe some sets to inflict EVEN MORE helpful debuffs on enemies to boost team dmg more and defensive buffs to kinda make the tank more of a, good at keeping the bosses focus and ensuring your teammates are too hard to be killed on by adds type build. honestly thinking about a build like that just makes me NEEEED a soft taunt aggro system that takes into account perhaps if a certain number of beneficial buffs get put on your allies, than you become the more interesting target to enemies making it so you can not only make your team tankier but draw aggro in the process..... ahhh if only they were willing to make tanking and general combat more intersting by increasing difficulty through how the ai acts rather than just pulling a gylo man and goin "MORE!!!! MORE!!!!!!! MOREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" to the dmg and tankiness sliders.....
This build is highly recommended. The Dummy say low numbers but in real content I can survive anything and clear bosses/dungeons in fast time. Im at 500cp on parse about 60k dps
If anyone is looking for some easy to get sets that deal more damage than briarheart(but don’t have the trickle healing) there is Orders wrath, Julianos, or mothers sorrow. The first two are crafted so you can get in medium, but mothers sorrow is light only.
@@xboxgamerz22 No. The reliance here is on the lightning staff's passives and ability to cleave AOE. This is why all of these "lazy" builds all use the lightning staff. It's incredibly overturned right now.
Explaining that i don't get the 10%/sec. 'chase' bonus, from blastbones unless the enemy turns and runs, is something I would've never fully understood had u not took the time to explain it. Tyvm. Another reason I choose to watch ur videos. I feel I get a greater understanding by watching urs as opposed to others. Please don't stop explaining these things just to shorten the video. Then it's a rush job like everyone else and like I said, watching ur videos leaves me with a much more complete understanding of whatever it is i'm trying to learn about. Certainly more so than most other makers of ESO content. Greatly appreciated and makes me a better player. I look forward to watching many more.
Awesome video! I started my necro out as mag and switched to stam. I have seen one bar builds with Oakensoul for stamcro but I am only able to get around 25k dps. Not sure what I am doing wrong or if stam won’t be able to live up to this build much.
For group content you can swap out guardian for skeletal archer and inner light for mystic orb for even more damage. I’m running storm master’s and sergeants with oakensoul. Master at arms, exploiter, deadly aim, weapons expert. I don’t use mystic orb though, I use elemental susceptibility. Stil push 76k parses
I just built this with CP 1040 and my first parse was 53k, then 60. I'm holding down the Xbox controller trigger for heavy and hitting blastbones... should I not hold down the trigger when launching wall of elements or detonating siphon? I will keep trying. ugh

Just tried this on my level 38 Magica Necro and it thumps. Mopping the floor with mobs. Trying to get that char leveled up to 50 as quickly as possible 😅 anyone have any tips? Also what's best gear set for DPS and how do you get it?
Even though this build looks and sounds fun I personally didn't care much for the blastbones skill for necromancer as most times enemies are going to be in your face or up your arse for the most part kinda making the morph pointless unless you go for the stamina one. Me personally I go half stamina and half magicka for my damage skills and use the fighter's guild camo skill(forgot name of the skill) for the passives and dawnbreaker for my ultimate and the scythe for heals and it works for me even though it takes around 5 to 10 second to kill basic enemies with what I'm running but I just use what I like and not what's most effective. Might test this build out and if I don't dig it I can always switch back I guess

This looks like a solid alternate build for my necro healer! Question about gear: I already have the Master's Lightning staff that I got from Dragonstar while farming for my master resto staff. Would that be a better staff option for this build? if so, what changes would you make to fit it in?
@ClassRNV restoration staff is good it do also lot of damage and also heal you but I just don't get why people don't use it like it need some love and I would say it better than ice and maybe fire staff

Im playing this build for a while now and finished some small things that I forgot. I never run out of magicka, because of the heavy attacks. Are there any benefits from having the magicka enchantment on every armor gear? Instead of health enchantment.
The larger of your magicka or stamina contributes to your damage output. So yes a larger pool definitely benefits you for that purpose. If you got for health you will have less magicka, therefore less of a stat contributor to your damage output. BUT your survival will go up.
Excellent video - as a casual, easy-going and mostly solo player I love 1bar builds:) This is almost identical to the one I'm using with one change. What Do you think about using Skeletal Mage with either magicka (AoE) or stamina (ST) morph in "slot 4" instead of inner light / necrotic potency? Just curious:)
When you're using one of his builds it's a consistent fact that he has tested it and found the best way to apply it. Regardless though, your DPS loss should not be that insane if you decide to use that skill and if it makes it more fun for you. I always customize builds for my own flavor and they perform extremely well for what I am trying to do with them. Remember it's a game and have fun!
@@midnightsoulband9320 it's not as easy as that when you're talking about making a build. There are a lot of factors to consider and it's not always just put this high damage skill on do better.

If you farmed the sergeant gear and made that easy sorc. You can either use resources to recreate this gear OR do what I did and use the Easy Sorc to SOLO the sewers!! !!
Wall of Storms isn't needed on Necro. Off Balance has a 15 second cooldown, so if you're applying it from Scythe you won't get anything more from the wall.
And if the wall of storms was being used primarily for off-balance, you MIGHT have a point. However, wall of elements is a very solid AOE DOT with tons of proc ticks and very good damage.
@@mikemacon413 Scythe is being left out for it on this build, and it also has a ton of damage, Hemmorhage, and heals you a lot more than the skeleton buddy does.
He’s got a couple, but i think pve is his bread and butter, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Always coming in with clean easy to use great builds. Not to mention the best video format of any PVE build creator.
great build and almost the same as what i had with the exception of the tether morph and briarheart set, in regards to the cp setup i stopped using boundless vitality after they buffed our base stats and started using the sustained by suffering node instead for more regen while i have a status effect which is most of the time tbh lol, i was using reaving blows for the heal from damage but briarheart has that covered so looking forward to running this, yet again cheers for a great vid its much appreciated

This is a genuine question but uhhh.. Is it just me or is innerlight way overrated in one bar builds (not just this build video)? You only have 5 skill slots and you’re going to use one of them for a non-actionable skill for just a 7-9% Magicka pool increase (I know that higher max stats equals more damage)? Over another AOE/DoT/Spammable or heal/utility? I hate bar swapping as a mechanic in general, so I’m trying to stick with oakensoul builds for now. I’ve seen a few with Innerlight and I’m just not seeing it being better than another useable skill rather than a slot-able passive. Can someone with more experience please show me what I’m missing?
I find myself in too many situations where Vigor and the healing skeleton aren't good enough to keep me alive. Therefore, I go with Render Flesh (can't remember the morphs name). Also helpful in random dungeons when you see the tank get hit hard, you can cast that and get them right back to full life. The minor defile is offset by Necro passives so it's not even a factor, i never notice it. I get the most DPS with skeletal archer, blast bones, wall and detonating siphon with render flesh as a heal. The skill setup in this video is a little on the low side for DPS but still effective. For a little more survivability I'll sometimes swap the archer out for a damage shield or vigor for more resistances. Helpful for soloing stuff.
@@mrgmarshburn You bet, but first I'll turn the question around to see where you're coming from. Why do YOU think that storm master would be better? You mention doing more dps on a trial dummy - which has a frick-ton of buffs you're not going to see in most content and also 100% uptime on those buffs, thus it is not a real-world test. So other than that, what is it that you see storm master doing for you that would justify dropping the 435 weapon and spell damage to ALL your attacks (including blastbones and the tether AS WELL AS your light and heavy attacks) PLUS the heals in favor of a set that boosts only light and heavy attacks and doesn't otherwise contribute to survivability? All that aside, if you perfer Storm Master, it's your character; use it! Enjoy! But i DO promise you that Xy has tested all his builds to frick and back and he has indeed tested storm master...and chose briarheart instead for very good reasons.
@@mikemacon413 I have not tried the necromancer, but it’s pretty much the same set up for the sorcerer and my source that is not on trial dummies but in actual content does more damage with storm masters I sacrifice a little bit of survivability depends on what other skills you use on all the heavy attack builds you could forgo survivability and pull really high damage like 90,000+ which is good for a one bar build but for most content you don’t need that like he says. I normally don’t go glass Cannon I keep survivability, but you can definitely poor really high numbers with the sergeants mail, storm masters combo depending on what class you’re playing
It uses the one bar ring so gets 20k heals off arctic blast which is meant as damage plus can use lotus blossom and with ur bear u ain't dying and ur heavy attacking with a boosted 80% more damage on light and heavy attacks all the time ur magicka ain't gonna run out and u ain't dying unless u standing in every aoe and not doing rotation 😂 it's insane I made it on 4 eso servers so far look up polar express
Great DPS...but I saw many people who has these type of building can't survive just 1 minutes in Vet dungeon boss fighting. Dead DPS is zero damage anyway.

im learning that most magic dps builds kinda just force you into wall of elements shenanigans, its an op skill for sure but some variety would be nice

Cp points in those passives. If you're not cp1500 atleast you're not at your full potential.

I have this exact build as of tonight. My first dps parse was 64k without potions.
If you use oaken you dont need pots because it gives you the buffs already. Dont waste them.

You need Sergeant Mail for Heavy attack. But you can swap Briarheart with something else

using mage will increase your dps

No you need a light staff. For the heavy attack

Hm, i have the exact same setup and stats and i cannot get beyond 31K DPS at the 6Mio HP Practice Dummy
You need to test on trial dummy not the 6million dummies as they have buffs and resistance.

Yes sir. That's correct. You will see all the buffs when you start engaging with trial dummy .

This is a genuine question but uhhh.. Is it just me or is innerlight way overrated in one bar builds (not just this build video)? You only have 5 skill slots and you’re going to use one of them for a non-actionable skill for just a 7-9% Magicka pool increase (I know that higher max stats equals more damage)? Over another AOE/DoT/Spammable or heal/utility? I hate bar swapping as a mechanic in general, so I’m trying to stick with oakensoul builds for now. I’ve seen a few with Innerlight and I’m just not seeing it being better than another useable skill rather than a slot-able passive. Can someone with more experience please show me what I’m missing?
I guess it's just more efficient to spam two or three damage skills instead of throwing in another

I find myself in too many situations where Vigor and the healing skeleton aren't good enough to keep me alive. Therefore, I go with Render Flesh (can't remember the morphs name). Also helpful in random dungeons when you see the tank get hit hard, you can cast that and get them right back to full life. The minor defile is offset by Necro passives so it's not even a factor, i never notice it. I get the most DPS with skeletal archer, blast bones, wall and detonating siphon with render flesh as a heal. The skill setup in this video is a little on the low side for DPS but still effective. For a little more survivability I'll sometimes swap the archer out for a damage shield or vigor for more resistances. Helpful for soloing stuff.

Yes on his sorcerer build I used stormmaster instead and tested it for quite a while on my trial dummy and it does do more dps

Why do YOU think that storm master would be better?
You mention doing more dps on a trial dummy - which has a frick-ton of buffs you're not going to see in most content and also 100% uptime on those buffs, thus it is not a real-world test.
So other than that, what is it that you see storm master doing for you that would justify dropping the 435 weapon and spell damage to ALL your attacks (including blastbones and the tether AS WELL AS your light and heavy attacks) PLUS the heals in favor of a set that boosts only light and heavy attacks and doesn't otherwise contribute to survivability?
All that aside, if you perfer Storm Master, it's your character; use it! Enjoy! But i DO promise you that Xy has tested all his builds to frick and back and he has indeed tested storm master...and chose briarheart instead for very good reasons.
@@mikemacon413 I have not tried the necromancer, but it’s pretty much the same set up for the sorcerer and my source that is not on trial dummies but in actual content does more damage with storm masters I sacrifice a little bit of survivability depends on what other skills you use on all the heavy attack builds you could forgo survivability and pull really high damage like 90,000+ which is good for a one bar build but for most content you don’t need that like he says. I normally don’t go glass Cannon I keep survivability, but you can definitely poor really high numbers with the sergeants mail, storm masters combo depending on what class you’re playing

It uses the one bar ring so gets 20k heals off arctic blast which is meant as damage plus can use lotus blossom and with ur bear u ain't dying and ur heavy attacking with a boosted 80% more damage on light and heavy attacks all the time ur magicka ain't gonna run out and u ain't dying unless u standing in every aoe and not doing rotation 😂 it's insane I made it on 4 eso servers so far look up polar express

Great DPS...but I saw many people who has these type of building can't survive just
1 minutes in Vet dungeon boss fighting. Dead DPS is zero damage anyway.
That is because they suck in micromanage. Been doing countless Vet content includung Trials, so far I got pretty decent dps and survive
