I use Macabre Vintage alot for it's high stats which complement any of the fancy proc sets that don't have weapon and spell lines. It also makes a great squelching noise when it kills anything. 🙂
Nice build but I have an alternate choice of options you may wish to consider. I realize this is all a matter of personal choice, so as one alternative I would suggest swapping just one of your recommended abilities and two of your recommended Champion Point choices for more damage and an easier rotation: 1. Replace Wall of Elements (WoE) with Unnerving Boneyard. This gives you valuable major breach and minor vulnerability, does significant AoE damage and consumes a corpse, which works perfectly with your armour effects. The Scythe "guarantees" Off Balance, whereas WoE is only a percentage chance of getting off-balance. Also, Blastbones times perfectly with heavy attack timing, so you would get more damage running "Heavy Attack -> Blastbones" (repeat, repeat, repeat), and 2. Choose "Weapons Expert" champion point for 20% increased heavy attack damage and "Exploiter" to take advantage of the "guaranteed" off-balance from your scythe, which you can then time perfectly with the cool-down cycle of off-balance to pickup another 10% damage from "all" sources for 7 seconds every 15 seconds. That extra penetration makes a big difference hitting that pen-cap against bosses, and the off-balance/heavy attack with the right champion points deal a lot more damage. The extra 5% damage while minor vulnerability is active also sweetens the pot. This makes your rotation a breeze. Food for thought. Cheers
I actually really like your proposed modifications to this build. Sounds way more fun and easy compared to a light attack weaving build (though admittedly the original build presented by Xynode in the video is a simpler light attack weaving build compared to some of the others).
Tested it on ptr tonight. SO MUCH FUN! Now I have to get these item sets for my main! :D It did actually have a little bit of that diablo feel to it. :D
I just finished grinding IA for the set using Macabre Vintage + Crimson Twilight on the body. Gave me more survivability to last longer in the run getting back more Archive Fortunes and then I would just buy the 2k corpseburster set pieces after every arc. Hope this helps!
What about a variation of this which is a 2 bar necro corpse buster build using the Velothi Ur Mage's Amulet, with dual wield or 2 hand on the front bar, and the maelstrom destro staff on the back bar?
I went a different route with my latest necro build. At the time of this writing, I use Corpseburster, Mora Scribe's ( trial set ), Valkyn Scoria and of course Brokensoul. To get more penetration out of the build, I slotted Thrill Of The Hunt from the Fitness tree which just adds to the benefits from Valkyn Scoria 1 piece. This may be hard to believe, but more often than not I get the same DPS in real fights as I do with the iron atronach trial dummy. It's around 56K dps. All my abilities, save one, come from the Gravelord skill line as that's what makes Corpseburster really shine. The one differing skill is that of Resolving Vigor. That ability really comes in handy for self-healing.
Newer player here, what would be some starter gear to use for this build. The Macabre is obtainable from guild vendors, if you have coin or can farm, but what would be a good second set?
@@macattack5457 Only one of those deals consistent damage over time… and not really much. The skeletal mage and archer are poor choices in a rotation. Blast Bones is barely a minion and clunky as hell to use. Plus they changed one morph into a buff spell that you have to rotate every 10 seconds. Necromancer overall is in a very poor state and this isn’t even due to a lack of minions. There are a plethora of issues with the class.

The is a terrific build. It has made me return to my necromancer because it is such fun. Love the builds you do Xynode. Thanks so much.
just for a sec, I thought it was reuploaded XD
Thanks Xy! I love this as my main!

This sounds very nice. Any idea what other set to use? I dont have the archive set yet.
So you use the sweep only for heal not for damage?
I now have: Warthful Strikes, Biting Aura and Exploiter + Weapons Expert instead of Thauma and Deadly
Awesome build, been playing this all afternoon, super solid.
@@brunossace4317 what's your parse?

ah yes the necro build for playing IA that requires you to have a full IA set already 😅
Your videos are awesome!
What would you add in for corpsebuster for those of us that have yet to farm all of the pieces?
@@wasteland-werewolf this
Good question. I added Acuity for now but feel like i could need smth else.
Syvarras scales or the PvP proc set everyone is using right now would be good… Tarnished is what it’s called

I've got a kitty Necro I started to play with my g'daughter during her self professed Emo-Goth stage. It might be time to dust it off
Do it! :D

what other set i can replace corpsebuster with ? getting corpsebuster will take long time.

Does necrotic potency trigger corpsebuster?
I’d love to make this build but Infinite Archive just doesn’t respect my time. You get way too little for so much effort :(
What if u swap macabre for runecarver’s blaze set? Is it better or worse in your opinion?
What style should hands and feet are those?!
Where does unending cycle style drop please? Can't find any useful info anywhere dammit!
How long did it take to grind. To get corpse Buster?
Would this work for vet vateshran
What do i do if i dont have gold road and cant get the macabre stuff
It's tradeable
@xynodegaming where would be the best place to get these item items then and thanks for the help still low level in the game
What would be the recommended mundus for this anyone?
He’s using the Thief. It helps Crits if I’m correct.
Like for the name...

Ah yes. ESO. The one game that has a Necromancer that can’t summon minions.
@@mindoftheswarm7 it does have minions, just not in big quantities
Also the one that has no new staff
We got boney blowup boy, boney boy with a stick, boney boy with a bow, and ghostly fellow🤓
... we're beyond the minions stage. We summon Colossus 😂
