Garage Door Trouble - One Sensor No Light

Fixing garage door sensors on an automatic garage door opener. This video is not intended to fix all of the problems with the garage door sensors - just to describe the issue I was having.

This was helpful, suddenly had no more power to receiving sensor. Went over to wiggle around the wire where it was spliced gave it power again. Whoever did our garage didn’t do a good job at splicing it correctly.

For the life of me I couldn't figure out why the green light wouldn't come on.
When I moved into this place the seniors were just hanging, not even attached.

What if neither sensor has power?

RollYourRock In my case it was very obvious. Completely chewed through.

Or it could be that it needs WD40 because sometimes they get rusty because of the dust. You are supposed to clean it every week.

Catherine Rojas a butt splice and a pair of wire crimps is what I used
