Clear audio and video, straight to the point and captions for extra detail. Though I am sure that I would have been successful without the video, it was still worth watching, even if for the wrench sizes. Thank you. I have a 2017 and would hate to have deal with the auto windows, radio and other things in my model that easy but I'm lazy. I'll attempt to keep power to the vehicle using a jump starter. Thanks again.
Very clear video steps......I needed to replace my mkz battery and was impressed with the ease of explaining...since the battery sits it sits in a tray that was hard to get to........but you showed how it slides out...thankyou!!
Thanks so much for this battery change post! I pulled a back muscle trying to lift the battery out after disconnecting the terminals!! I thought holy crap, this thing feels anchored. I checked the manual which did not help and turned to UA-cam and oue l’a!! I was at a Walmart doing it yourself since their auto service was down due to Covid-19. I did have to get a ratchet extension but it was worth it. Thank you!!!
Hi there my name Chris Wynter of cedar rapids, iowa and just got a Lincoln in July 2023 it's very cold here but I watch the video on how to change the old battery for the new one thank you for showing what to do
I have a ‘19 MKZ. I believe my battery is larger than the one you replaced. ALSO, I read elsewhere that you need to supply power before taking old battery out or you’ll mess up computer and things will go haywire! Your thoughts?
I have to attempt this on my own! I think it’s a 2018 or 19! My husband is out of town & told me don’t mess with it, but I fixed my radiator on my car way back in the day, so this seems to be a piece of cake! Is the battery heavy?
Thank you! I don’t have any plans to do a transmission fluid change. We actually just had a new trans installed in this MKZ because the old one failed. These transmissions are odd. They don’t even have a dipstick in the transmission to check the fluid level. It’s one of those models that they try to intentionally make you go to a shop to get the transmission serviced.
My battery was replaced a week ago and it works fine sometimes and sometimes it goes back to the power saving mode. Does the car battery need to be reset?
I don’t think you can reset a battery. What you could do is get the battery tested. Most auto parts stores will test it for free. Also, since you just purchased it, it should still be under warranty.
@@darvv1n The MKZ I’m the video is a 2013 four cylinder. When I look up the parts on parts.ford.com, I get the same part numbers for the 2013 and 2017. Not sure why your car is different from what’s in the video.

I did not supply power and everything was fine. I'd have to research their reasoning for saying that. Maybe they know something that I don't.

If you have a hybrid, it’s a completely different setup.
uhh why did it spark when u put the negative connector back?? is this safe for an idiot like myself to do?
