I’m a fairly new dad, 2.5 & 4 months. My dad passed when I was 8, and while I’m super techy your channel relieves the anxiety that I won’t be able to help my children with my weaker areas that involve more hands-on tasks. Thank you for this channel.
the fact that he tells us how to do stuff when he never had a father figure just shows how passionate this man is to teach people stuff. your a GOAT man, keep it up.
My dad was present but not really around to teach me these things so thank you. He was present but absent at the same time. I know some people will give me hate for this, but I rather he wasn’t around at all.
I can really feel your pain as like you, too have a father who just happen to be a guy who gave me life. Never helped me in anything I did or taught me things that I really wish he had. I too wished that he didn't exist at all in my life. He made my family's life a living hell.
I hope one day you and ur father can reconcile bc having a father who is still alive can easily be taken for granted until it’s not…take care God bless you all
Thank You, Your Voice is very calming and encouraging. Thank you from a girlie girl with no Dad who needs her battery changed. I feel I can do it now. God Bless you & everyone else too :-)
Thank you so much. My dad was never here for me. I'm now 22 and he lives not far away from me but he never asks about how am I. Ofc he never teached me how to do anything. But you did so much for me, just being there for all of us. Thank you ❤❤❤
Hmm might go ahead and try and save myself $100 next time I need a battery change. Thanks for this! Your explanations are always detailed and encouraging.
Keep in mind newer and not so newer cars (mine is 2017) have battery monitoring, so you have to know how to reset that. Just search UA-cam and usually you’ll find ways to do it, doesn’t have to be reset by the dealer or another repair shop.
You are a hero, children who don't have a father can watch your videos so they can do this or that thing. And you help many people, I want you to live a great and good life. When you die you will be remembered not as a simple person but as a hero you need to go to heaven
I have to change out the generator battery & hadn't found a clear, trustworthy source to demonstrate how. I didn't want the expense of someone else doing it (including not getting the $ for the old one) & my friends are too kind & wouldn't have allowed me to pay them. What a relief that I'll be able to do this before winter!!!
My dad died in 2014, all of our family left us after that happened and I've had to figure out life without a male figure. Now 23, I found your channel and I just want to say thank you. This helps a lot. 🙏
I grew up with an abusive father before we cut him out of my life and I never really had a figure besides my mum to teach me life skills like this, so thank you dad for helping us❤
Hey there, i love your videos they helped me since i found your Channel. My Dad passed away when i was 7 now i am nearly 22 with my Birthday only about 23 Days away. And yeah you helped me by so many questions i had only by watching your videos. I am really glad you are doing this.
In my toyota, if I disconnect the battery without preserving power to the computer I will lose all settings on my car computer. This includes some settings that can only be done by the dealer. You need something like an ECU memory saver that has a small battery just to keep the computer memory intact.
I put the receipt for the battery in a zip-lock sandwich bag and duct tape it to the battery. That way, I never lose it. It's never melted or caught fire in all the years I've done it. Comes in handy for trading in the battery.
Just tripped over your channel and had to watch a view videos. That there is a person caring for those who aren't that lucky to have a dad leaves me in absolut tears (of joy). I want to thank you for bringing a litte releave to me (shure not me alone) I lost my dad and my brother in an accident when I was 10 (now 34) so I know a life without a dad! So many times I thought: what would my dad do? Now I can have a litte answer to this! You mister are wonderful!!❤ Lots of love from Austria❤ ps.; hope my english is understandable😅
Love this channel. Can you please explain why you do stuff, for example, why do you have to disconnect the negative side first and then the positive side? etc
One note. Leave those plastic caps on the posts until you are ready to attach the cables. If you accidentally bridge the two posts you can cause quite a bit of damage to your self, car and/or tools. Had a retail place mechanic lightly weld a couple of his tools together while replacing my battery. BTW, some places will replace the battery at no extra charge if you buy the battery from them.
Tip from Ukraine: even bad car battery can be useful. It still can store enough energy to charge your gadgets(laptop, smartphone etc.) a lot of times in case of blackout. All you need is relatively cheep outlet charger and inverter.
Thank you for the knowledge and also for having such a calm disposition. Helps to calm any anxiety on might have attempting to do this. One question - what size tools did you use to remove the nuts? Thanks!
Important note to explain the mounting/dismounting order - we disconnect minus terminal first - so in an event of creating short circuit with your tools - nothing happens. That also means that after disconnecting minus terminal - any short circuit created with car's body, while unscrewing plus terminal, will not be dangerous. Otherwise, if you start from plus terminal, and accidentally touch car's body (which is wired to minus terminal) with your socket wrench - hundreds of amps will flow. You can destroy car electronic systems that way - not to mention you can burn yourself and/or melt those touching parts.
One thing that I like to do when changing battery. Sandpaper battery terminals and cover them with copper grease. It'll prevent oxidation and give maximum electricity flow.
Some vehicles will require a memory saver to keep adaptive memory settings when disconnecting the battery. Newer vehicles may even need reflashed by the dealership if precautions aren't taken. Of course, never disconnect while the engine is on.
Note, this applies to non-ev cars. Note 2: if your non-ev car is very new, you may first have to consult your owners manual to locate the battery in an exceptionally hard to reach spot, and it might be virtually impossible to disconnect the cables without specialized tools, minor or major disassembly of surrounding components, or some very creative thinking.
Thank you dad, I know you're not my real dad but my dad is in a better place now so thank you dad I really like your videos I'm 18 and my dad isn't with me to teach me new things like changing the battery and shaving but you were with me thank you dad 🥹

is terminal grease important and anti corrosion washers?
I have never used them, but honestly I don’t think they would be a bad idea, and they’re pretty inexpensive
Hey dad ,why do you put the positive on first? is their any particular reason for that?
Not too many batteries that simple in anything newer than a 2017. Most have power distribution centers directly on the battery now.
Thank you!!
Hey pops quick question, is there a way to clean the filter without having to buy a new one?
No, and they really aren’t that expensive. Should be less than $20
Thanks
Спасибо, вайбовые видео, продолжай так же, ты классный бро

9 years on a dry battery? What brand are you using sir?
Interstate from Costco
the insulation cover must be so it doesn't get too cold in winter, since it's difficult to start the car when the battery is cold
