VW Volkswagen Golf GTI MK6 maintenance Malaysia: common problem

After owning VW Golf GTI MK6, i understand Water Pump failure is one of the most common problems.
My car has no symptoms, just a low coolant alert light pop-up the first time, and I went to replace it. After replacing the new unit, and using it for about 2 years plus, the coolant level slowly drops and i notice a leak on the floor as well. Went to check and found out the water pump leaking again.
So what does the water pump do and why is it important? The water pump plays an important role in ensuring your car’s engine maintains an optimum operating temperature. The water pump constantly pushes coolant and water into the engine to avoid the engine from overheating.
There are many reasons how a water pump can fail:
installation error,
plastic cracks/deteriorating, and
oil leaking on the water pump causing the gasket to swell.
When it does fail, you will have low coolant levels (leak) and/or your car will be overheating.

You shoud replace with Rein aluminium pump, made in Germany.
