Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa. Great review. To be honest, I'm more old-school when it comes to petrol engines. 1.6l non turbo for the win, with the manual gearbox. Did this engine make it all the way to 2012? Golf 6 production ended for us in 2013 so I'm not sure if the 1.6l petrol engine managed to make it to that point as well before it got dropped along with the introduction with the Mk7.
Another great review as always. 👍🏻
Thank you so much

Is 1.6 tdi a reliable engine option of GOLF mk6 ? What will be the life expectancy of the engine before any major overhaul ?
I have a 1.6 tdi and it has 322.000 km. Never had a problem with it. Not a fan of Vw but this car is reliable If you take care of it.
