    I had this job done n July, carbon cleaning, new oem injectors and water pump, pcv unit, fuel filter and intake manifold. My mechanic had a little trouble with the water pump bolt holding it n had to get a new one, everything was oem vw totally worth it runs great. I wish you would of done a new intake manifold, that's what started my whole process of getting this done. Good video, but this is not a beginners job.

      If my intake manifold fails im going to try to replace the diaphragm instead of the whole thing

    I have the ccta engine and I just got my new aluminum water pump, now, I’m not sure if I want to use the plastic hose that connects the water pump to the cylinder head coolant flange

    This is crazy . I have to do this same exact job. Carbon cleaning , manifold , and water pump. If you can please go a little more in depth

      Get all gaskets intake manifold, throttle body and injectors o ring kits you need 4 of them. Also get new water pump gasket and union with new o rings for the water pump hoses I believe there are two big o rings for the big hoses and 2 small ones on the union. Also about 3 gallons of coolant.

      Also forgot the water pump belt. You need to hold crank clockwise while going counterclockwise to loosen bolt holding belt In place

    Did the old thermostat housing not fit on the aluminum one ? I have an aluminum water pump and I believe my car is also CBFA

      If your car has a “D” in the fifth digit of the vin, it is a cbfa

    Hey, so my water pump is going out and I have the cbfa engine like you witch water pump is the correct one to get?

      Go to ecs tuning’s website when you look for the waterpump kit there will be a disclaimer on which ever one you click on saying whether its for cbfa or ccta. Also the cbfa one is the one witth the sensor at the bottom

      no i also did a carbon clean it was going to be a multi day process and I never did it before so yeah I tore the whole front apart

      Cheapest one I could find on ebay, I reused the oem one though. Buying the whole cheap manifold that came with the gasket was cheaper then just buying the gasket

    One more video that fails to actually show how to put the new belt on the cog! Not a single video on youtube shows how to get the bloody thing on again!

      @@Matt_Pie actually, it's not! I found one video online that shows the (Right) way to do this, and it only takes about 5 minutes and is crazy simple! Leave it to a Mexican to know how to do it right, and Show the world the correct way to boot!

    i just wrote this long ass comment but it got deleted but anyways bro what i said is that it’s not worth keeping ur old intake manifold because it’s a common failure … they have many ways that they can fail and the new one u have is the revised one that addressed all the failure points which were PLENTY i will link a video i recomend u see it. ua-cam.com/video/Z2VoJp2yryU/v-deo.html
    that being said. if u wanna save money and maximize it then you should use the old intake manifold as long as it works fine but if it doesn’t it’s worth replacing it bro.

      The intake manifold i bought was super cheap and not oem I bought it because it came with the gaskets I need and was cheaper then the other gaskets listed. I cleaned the carbon off of the manifold if the diaphragm fails I have a spare on that new intake manifold

      @@Matt_Pie when u say cheaper do u mean 50 bucks cheap or 200 bucks cheap? cuz the one from vw is 200 bucks or so and it’s like the newer version of the preexisting intake manifold that commonly failed. i had mine replaced because the intake runner flaps failed and the replacement one is better and just is smoother than the older one bro anyways lock the content keep it up 👍

      Thanks man! And I mean the intake was a chinese knock off that was literally 40 bucks with gaskets 😂 one intake manifold gasket was the same price so I just bought that shitty intake
